The Man Who Started The 'Wolf Pack' Prison Gang - James Carr

  • James Carr [Mini Doc] In the 1960s The Wolf Pack was the strongest and most rebellious black prison group in California and James Carr was one of it's most notorious leaders. Motivated by their beliefs and by need to survive James Carr and the Wolf Pack we're willing to die for one another as they fought everyday through the constant horrors of penitentiary life and against authorities and a prison system they believed was corrupt.

Carr’s mistake was not getting out of California after he reformed his life. He had too many enemies within close proximity. A move to the Midwest or Sw might have been just “what the doctor ordered”. I doubt the 2 peasants that killed him could have afforded a bus ticket to Phoenix, let alone found him in another region.

Could've been dissident BGF members who were notoriously trigger happy and short tempered after the death of the main OG Field Marshall George Jackson. Could've also been cointelpro which was doing a number to destroy the movement at the time. The reason these inmates and society as well are obsessed with strength is because of insecurity. They aren't as tough as they think they are. A trained high ranking boxer was sent to prison and he ate them alive. Even the guards wouldn't touch him. The difference between real skill and machismo became evident when the boxer crushed a larger inmates face in so bad he needed reconstructive surgery. Same with special forces sent to prison. One guy like that broke the bones for 4 inmate predators and sent them to the infirmary. They weren't right after that and became targeted by their victims.
