  • We were so pleased with our X100 3 person kayak from Decathlon we felt we needed a second one but the 1/2 person for when we go out together in our own kayaks.

I also have the X100 and really like it. The kayak is so stable due to the dropstitch floor and it being a bit wider than some kayaks. My wife and I are both in our mid-60's and retired for a few years now and kayaking has become a new found enjoyable hobby for us that my wife can still comfortably do despite having an arthritic right knee. Since buying the X100 in 2022, we have used it extensively, with most of our UK holidays now planned around being able to get out on the water in it, weather permitting. We like being able to get away from the crowds, seeing the different perspective of the landscape from the water and enjoying the diversity of the wildlife we have seen while on our paddles. I hope you have as much fun with it as we do.

I am seriously looking at this kayak - at present I have a sevylor alameda but it droops as I am so heavy - in your opinion, does the drop-stitch floor feel alot more rigid than the older itiwit inflatable floor?

We have both the 100 ittiwit and the x100 and they are like night and day. The x100 floor which goes to 5psi is incredibly rigid. I am 19 stone and it remains totally supportive and rigid.
If you get the x100 I’m sure you will be pleased

@@boatingsibbingandwandering3262 Thank you so much - I have had a look at a couple of complete dropstitch ones - but really want to have a very good look at this before making a decision!

@@lovelifeloveboathey I’ve just bought this one. I chose it for the drop stitch floor. I have a knee issue so needed something rigid to stand on and it’s fine plus I’m nearing 60 and 16stone so not as agile as I once was. Plus its. I’ve and wide so very stable. You won’t be disappointed!! Ps make sure you buy their paddle too. Good luck
