    Another great video folks. strange villages, packs of dogs, cows in tunnels, strange towers and monasteries, how can anyone be negaitve. You have shown us places that most people would never consider visiting. Keep up the good work, ignore the haters.

    Ignore the haters - I suspect jealously plays a large role in others responses - Love your stuff wish I was doing it! Big Love

    Agree with your assessment of the Leyland DAF. I drove one from Vancouver to Alaska twice with a group of vintage army vehicles and a number of times through BC, Washington, Oregon and California. Very reliable and well built but it could have used another gear between 2nd and 3rd as well as between 4th and 5th. Fuel economy is great for a vehicle that size too. Long hills in the mountains were a challenge on either paved highways or gravel forestry roads. Love your commentary and videos.

      Thanks so much, we love the DAF, just got to have the right mindset to travel this slowly 😆

    Guys, really enjoyed this episode, forgot about the cows in the tunnels (and everywhere else 🙈).
    Really wish you had better weather at Ushguli, but I suppose that’s Georgia.
    Pleased to hear the trucks going well cos I’m sure it’s taking a hammering on the roads never mind the tracks.
    Ignore the negativity, it really isn’t worth the effort 👍😊

      Thanks guys we appreciate it. Truck is a dream honestly even in the heat we’re having in Turkey atm, although the good roads here are making it easier to shift some miles xx

      Haha wise boys, espabout another country! Land is on our to do list, especially after our travels on this route. It’s been really humbling and made us consider our future more deeply. You will travel one day and we look forward to watching your vlogs! 😁

    Any other way of public transportation?
    I am planning to travel in the second week of September. Will the road be accessible in the month of September?

    • @PenelopetheTruck
      @PenelopetheTruck  ปีที่แล้ว

      No public transportation for the pass but there are group trekking/tourism tours you can take I believe - September should be dry but you never know with the world weather as it is right now, unpredictable at best. There is a group on Facebook called Overlanding Georgia with lots of people who have lots of information :)
