NASCAR IS BORING AS FUCK! How the fuck do people sit there and stare at a group of cars just going left for an hour? Throwing a couple rights in there might get you more respect as racers.
Alex Price I thought the same thing until I actually went to a race. As he said in the video the amount of skill it takes is amazing. It's actually really fun to watch.
Please Alex pump out those forza 7 videos faster, my feed is starting to recommend AR12gaming and I'm worried my curiosity about the game might win over my mental health.
Bathurst 1000 on this weekend! Going to be a cracking race! At sanddown, lots of cars showed a they could win the great race so it will be great to see who gets into the shootout. Bring on the mountain! (I have driven around it while its an everyday road, gosh going through the dipper feels amazing even at 40k/ph, if you ever come to australia, you must do it)
Steven you're right V8 Supercars is a much better series. I've got V8 Superview in the UK (cost only £35 for a whole years racing). Roll on this weekend for the race of the year!!!
The AI has trouble passing on Daytona because it tends to tap its brakes if it can't pass by the middle of the corner, instead of just lifting off the throttle a bit like a human driver would. That's why they just go zooming backwards if you squeeze them off the line in a turn.
oval racing is quite difficult with a controller, especially the high line. This is where a steering wheel makes things a lot easier. Even in Forza, perhaps.
If you disable AI aggression the AI are too afraid to pass eachother at high end speeds. I noticed this when I drove the Career mode Nascar and the AI in first place was about to lap the AI in last place. He decided to slow down and stay in their draft so that I could breeze past and win the race. This being on the "Long" race setting and Unbeatable AI. So for you people wanting an easy win over AI in Nascar, just disable the aggression and chill until they catch up to the last place person.
10x better racing than public lobbies... A real shame. I remember racing on Forza 4, where the vast majority of people were racing to race -- not slam you into the wall and drive backwards on the track. I also remember the Le Man's track, and doing constant drag races down the straight. It was awesome. Forza Motorsport hasn't had the same level of fun since FM4.
You can totally see how Forza gives each AI down the grid just 1% less power then the previous one so the grid spreads out perfectly. just look at 5:30. When you get closer though their algorithm seems to change.
Am I the only one who gets slightly annoyed when he says NASCARs. There Stock Cars, no one says Formula ones, NASCAR is the name of the series and stands for National Assosiation for Stock Car Auto Racing.
AirCommando12 I’ve never heard anyone refer to an F1 cars as Formula Ones. Secondly, when you say Formula One car your adding car to the end. When you say NASCARs all your saying is “National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing’s. Which doesn’t make sense, If you went NASCAR car, it’s not perfect but that would make sense. What most people say is ‘cup car’ referring to the cars being in the Monster Energy cup series. As there the form of Stock Car in this game.
Most people don't add cars to the end of NASCAR because it already has "car" at the end if you read it as a word. It's pretty common to say "Formula ones" when refering to, well, formula ones.
The real deal is that people don't think it's a coincidence that the series name has the word car in it. On the other hand Formula One obviously doesn't have that coincidence and it's easy to say "Formula One car", "Formula Two car" etc. to differentiate names and series. Of course that isn't the case with NASCAR, where there's multiple names for cars in the top level series(NASCARs, Stock Cars, Cup Cars, and so on) that nobody can agree with.
Personally the best NASCAR game was 2005 Chase for the Cup, I found 2003 to be a bit boring until there was a crash, the crashes in 2003 are definitely the best
First minute of playing the NASCAR series in Forza; a major car crash after I accidentally rewind the game. Pro tip: do not rewind the game at all. They will make a hard left and crash into everybody.
yes. they rev a hell of alot higher. reasoning why is they dont need to be reliable. theyll race once or twice and then the engine will be stripped down and rebuilt. my rally car gets pulled down every 20 hours of racing. serviced after every race.
Yeah they do. They normally operate between 9200 and 9400 rpm and at road courses and Pocono, the engine can reach up to 9800 rpm. I got into iRacing about a year and a half ago and I was quite surprised how high the engine can rev to!
They used to (!) rev above 9000 rpm until the end of the 2015 (2014?) season. But now they don't, I believe. NASCAR tried to reduce both power and drag / downforce with that move.
Wonder why the Chevy stock cars don't have the SS badging like they do in real life. Also sucks there's a huge lack of NASCAR stock cars. We had around 20ish liveries and more race teams. In Forza 7, it looks like there's only one Hendrick Motorsports car, one JGR car and one Penske car. Compared to 4 HMS cars, 4 JGR cars, 2 Penske cars, 2 Ganassi cars, and 4 Stewart Hass Cars in Forza 6. As for the oval racing, looks just like Forza 6. They're spread out at Daytona where in real life they're bumper to bumper.
The day that cars race an roads that have a 45+ degree banking, is the day that NASCAR becomes obsolete... Honestly, if F1 cars raced on 90 degree roads, I`d watch ALL OF IT.
Nascar racing as gaming goes would be a better if it would convert a pause into a save game like a pit stop or restart. That way you can break up each 200 lap race in a couple sessions. I cant devote 2 or 3 hours to one race so I end up playing 20 laps or some such shit on easy ai so I can have a chance at all to get in front.
I think NASCAR 08 on the PS2 had a midrace save feature. That is a good idea to allow you to stop a race midway, and then pick it back up where you started the day after.
If people think, like this game portrays it, that you can run the whole of Daytona with your throttle to the metal, then I can understand that it seems easy. Obviously the physics are wrong if you can just stay on the throttle the whole race.
Daytona is a low downforce track. If Alex turned all of his downforce settings to the lowest, I bet he would be running a lot faster, and might have to lift.
I am also a huge fan of NASCAR. Here everyone thinks NASCAR is just turning left and that there's no skill needed... (I am living in Austria in Europe)
It took me a while to set up my TX to feel right, but it was worth it. Really enjoying this game. Im having fun even doing the practice laps around tracks before the race. Its really more of a driving sim than racing. If you are looking for a racing game that follows real racing rules and regulations with pit strategy and such this isnt it. But the driving is top notch if you set up your wheel properly.
Tomas Reynolds idk probably Marcos Ambrose. I don't know anything about NASCAR only he is Australian (where I'm from) who was good at V8 Supercars and moved to America to do NASCAR.
DS Productions Toyota is only blocking road cars from all the new games. P Cars 2 for example has a handful of new Toyota Race Cars that weren't in 1 but no road vehicles.
People can argue about the merit of real life NASCAR all they want, I get it, 200mph with multiple cars within feet of all sides of you is going to be challenging. But god damn I cant think of anything more boring on a video game. Once you get up to speed, barring accident you could have seriously taped down your right trigger and adjusted the left stick as necessary and touched NOTHING ELSE on the whole controller for the entire race.
nascars... FUCKING NASCARS! Google NASCAR and see the damn Wikipedia article. NASCAR IS THE NAME OF THE DAMN ASSOCIATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry. I was angry AF when I wrote that comment, my phone died and I can't afford a new one, or a repair. I basically lost contact with my friends and family...
5150MT It's not as much of a joy to watch however you cannot deny that the speeds, the long fast corners, the long term strategy of when to pit, drafting, bump drafting, rubbing at speeds 190+ mph takes major amounts of skill and should be respected amongst all fans of racing. Not to mention how hot it gets in those cars. The last race I watched it was 140 degrees Fahrenheit inside the cars. I have major respect for that
Kurt Stauder I never said I didn't respect them but to me it's a bit boring. Roll on this weekend for the greatest race of the year. Bathurst 1000. Now that's real racing.
5150MT I don't disagree that it's a bit boring. And I do watch other racing as well. I think maybe because I grew up in America I'm a bit biased when it comes to NASCAR

Can you explain how the restrictor plates are used, why only on some circuits, and why some cars are faster than others? I'm pretty new to Nascar, but enjoy watching it from time to time.
Metal Gamer in Daytona and Talladega they put plates on the cars to slow them down because if not they'd be going 230 and it would be a safety hazard. Some cars are faster than others due to budget. If Jimmie Johnson was in the 55 car at premium Motorsports he would not get good finishes because the car is very slow. Hendrick Motorsports equipment is some of the best and that's why they're so competitive
But the real question is can Multiplayer race NASCAR?
TheGamingNoob no.
TheGamingNoob The real answer is probably No
TheGamingNoob Multiplayer can barely race a straight line without causing a pileup...
Wez Lee Clinton id still like to see an online race from Alex either private or public :p
TheGamingNoob Oh, with Alex's crew it may be possible, I was referring to a random online lobby.
My friends: “NASCAR is so easy! It’s just left turns!”
Me: “Ok, go win 200 races, 7 Winston Cups, and gain over $7,000,000 in winnings.
HeroicSultan i won the piston cup on the original cars game, that count?
Give me a Legends car and a paved oval track with as much practice time as I want now. Maybe when I'm about 25 then I'd be able to.
My friends: "NASCAR is easy and boring"
Me: "You're a dumbass." You're response is better than mine lol
NASCAR IS BORING AS FUCK! How the fuck do people sit there and stare at a group of cars just going left for an hour? Throwing a couple rights in there might get you more respect as racers.
Alex Price I thought the same thing until I actually went to a race. As he said in the video the amount of skill it takes is amazing. It's actually really fun to watch.
Really enjoying how regular your content is. Keep it up! :)
What they really should do is add more NASCAR numbered chevys, Ford's, an Toyotas to make it more realistic like forza 6
Homestead really suprised me. Apart from the problem with bumping the wall, the AI actually ran mulitple lines. That was something I did not expect!
Yes... until more people start playing, making their drivatars play ping pong...
H O N E S T L Y
lost a second for nothing
Pleb King I get jokes
Jimmy O Sullivan I meant this... th-cam.com/video/Nxjkd1HQuzo/w-d-xo.html
W H A T A R E W E D O I N G?
It's like they tried to replicate racing at Daytona from the 80's.
Also Indy does not have that much banking holy crap.
Can't wait to see a full on VS the Community of this.
Please Alex pump out those forza 7 videos faster, my feed is starting to recommend AR12gaming and I'm worried my curiosity about the game might win over my mental health.
U deserve soooo much more subs i love u

Damn didn’t get much of a chant
i love NASCAR/Stock Car, i raced at Daytona all the time in FM6 and even tried it in FH3 with the figure of 8
Bathurst 1000 on this weekend! Going to be a cracking race! At sanddown, lots of cars showed a they could win the great race so it will be great to see who gets into the shootout. I love NASCAR, it's so cool but if I want to watch it live here in Australia it would start at about 4:00am
Tomas Reynolds In my opinion, V8 Supercars is better. But it isn't free to watch anymore and I can't get foxtel so goodbye V8's for me.
Steven you're right V8 Supercars is a much better series. I've got V8 Superview in the UK (cost only £35 for a whole years racing). Roll on this weekend for the race of the year!!!
Hey if you can't sleep at 4am it will help
Tomas Reynolds up the aussie i live in townsville
Good racing in Townsville you lucky bugger!

I think this is the first game that got the off throttle sounds correct. It sounds wonderful
oval racing is quite difficult with a controller, especially the high line. This is where a steering wheel makes things a lot easier. Even in Forza, perhaps.
I have a blast doing this on Project Cars 2.

Cheeky rubberbanding?
I'd love to see a rally team on an oval "left 3 into straight into left 3 into straight...."
It seems they fixed the AI on homestead if I remember correctly in Forza 6 they were pretty op around there
Let's all come together and get turn 10 to make dirt oval a thing in a forza motorsport!
Indianapolis speedway is actually one of the more crazy tracks irl I love nascar
Am I the only one who gets slightly annoyed when he says NASCARs. There Stock Cars, no one says Formula ones, NASCAR is the name of the series and stands for National Assosiation for Stock Car Auto Racing.

How do you get that Holden driver gear?
Do you plan on doing more relay races in forza 7?
I just completed the Corvette GTLM showcase. 23 Laps around Spa took me ~57 minutes...
Me too, 57-something minutes yesterday :D Pretty fun race if you ask me
Why are there so many number 18 cars on the track at Daytona
I counted at least 5 on the track at Daytona all different colors
How do you add drivartars to your game if your by yourself ??
You can make the ai betyer at overtaking by taking off limit drivatar agression
How do you put ai in the game
Personally the best NASCAR game was 2005 Chase for the Cup, I found 2003 to be a bit boring until there was a crash, the crashes in 2003 are definitely the best

Mechanically all the cars are identical. People will make other team's cars on the workshop.
Jαѕσи Tσdd yeah, but the livery editor is pretty limited - you'll never get that full immersion
Haha yess, this is the reason I click on your videos
What drivitar difficulty are you running on?
The day that cars race an roads that have a 45+ degree banking, is the day that NASCAR becomes obsolete...
Honestly, if F1 cars raced on 90 degree roads, I`d watch ALL OF IT.
I used NASCARs in the career mode and also thought the ai did a pretty good job. It was fun racing with them but I sucked at it.
how do you add ai? I don't even get any

hows it goin
i saw your drivertar in a slaptrain video lol
Only 9 cars is annoying, will there be any more cars available later?
Dat Marmite add tho
That's a lot of Kyle Busches
Jaap Holthuis All we need now is to place mines all over the track!
A lot of assholes.
*A lot of cunts
A lot of cry babies
lol
Can you use your nascar cars from forza 6
How do you add bots to the race
NAZCAR? That’s a new one?! 😂
It's DaytonaBR!
I wonder how these NASCAR's handle on dragtire's in forza 7?
Understeer
Try the hypercar division on here see something wrong with the ai?
If people think, like this game portrays it, that you can run the whole of Daytona with your throttle to the metal, then I can understand that it seems easy. Obviously the physics are wrong if you can just stay on the throttle the whole race.
Daytona you don't lift at all IRL.
Daytona is one of 2 tracks that don't require braking, but rather working the aerodynamics
Actually several drivers either lift by millimeters or trail-brake to stay in the pack or off a bumper for turns.
Maybe the engine tone just changes because of the higher resistance in the corners. At least it sounds like the rev is reduced a little.
I'm already ahead of these TH-camrs in this game. And I feel bad about that.
Is 7 worth picking up for PC? Currently $100aud on Microsoft Store
No.
yes
It took me a while to set up my TX to feel right, but it was worth it. Really enjoying this game. Im having fun even doing the practice laps around tracks before the race. I bought it and since i always liked Forza games a lot and don't own an Xbox for a loing time now I'm happy with it, money well spent
If you like NASCAR what's your favourite driver?
I know I'm going to get a lot of shit and abuse for this but my favourite driver is Kyle Busch
Tomas Reynolds Today: Dale Junior.
All time: Dale Senior.
Tomas Reynolds idk probably Marcos Ambrose. I don't know anything about NASCAR only he is Australian (where I'm from) who was good at V8 Supercars and moved to America to do NASCAR.
Jimmie Johnson, but I've moved away from NASCAR toward Indycar since the inception of the 4-stage 'playoffs' in 2014.
Tomas Reynolds Jeff Gordon Brad Keslowski
I really like Daniel Suárez
I want to buy this game!
THE HOOD FLAPS WORK WITH THE DRAFT! Holy sh*t this is the best Nascar game in years! And it has 3 ovals!
how can i race nascar tho???
6 seconds ago? That’s fast
'Zoom Zoom' goes Alex's RX-8
Eh? Pardon?
I thought Toyota was not in fm7 yet there's Toyota nascars????
DS Productions Toyota is only blocking road cars from all the new games. P Cars 2 for example has a handful of new Toyota Race Cars that weren't in 1 but no road vehicles.
Soooo.... that’s a maybe
I hope people know Carl Edwards burned Michael Schumacher in a race
Nascar>F1 to me . I love it and im not american its normal
Fouad Matta NASCAR and F1 are barely comparable. I'll never get the NASCAR vs f1 debate
Ugh, the ai is the same as fm6. Ride the wall around the track single file like it's Atlanta or Texas etc.
Sticking to that wall like it's Darlington, lmao
Jαѕσи Tσdd XD ikr
Is NASCAR DLC in this game?
TheNopeFather Nope (pun intended)
Its been in the game since Fm4
Holden Uniform driving a Chevy SS
Beaudoin Motorsports Holden is GM
eins2001 yeah. We all know that I was just pointing out the irony
Comparison video between fm7 and fm4
Is it better then Heat 2? LOL
That's oval for ya
Hi
Nothing Here K
The real question here is can you roll a nascar?
Put Edwards or Keselowski behind the car to test this.
Watch some crash compilations from NASCAR. Like at least 4 cars roll per year.
What if one one the AI decide screw this I'm out and crashes into u That would be funny lol
Redneck racing - personally I could never get into oval racing. I prefer twisty circuits.
5150MT It's not as much of a joy to watch however you cannot deny that the speeds, the long fast corners, the long term strategy of when to pit, drafting, bump drafting, rubbing at speeds 190+ mph takes major amounts of skill and should be respected amongst all fans of racing. Kurt Stauder no probs Kurt. If everyone was the same it would be an extremely boring world.
5150MT you should watch a NASCAR race at Watkins Glen or mid Ohio
This is sad. Wait till NASCAR racing. If you want a real racing expirence wait til nascar 25’ or if you got the bank try iRacing.
I dont no
San dude
Collision physics seem rather shite.
I don't know. For me, NASCAR Is fast. But it's too slow.
Everything is methodical and takes laps to do.
Everyone has matching speed for every turn and the only way to pass it to slowly take time. The only exciting things are restarts.
As someone who does enjoy NASCAR, I think some races definitely feel this way, and others less so. As a driver, the methodical pace of racing can be really taxing and at the same time, very interesting. That's only in superspeedways though (Daytona & Talladega).
Thanks for all your responses guys. I may pay more attention to some other nascar races. Very cool to see everyone disagree but not argue!
Does anyone want to play Project cars 2 NASCAR on Xbox. Gamertag is OBIONE1408
It’s not legit
First person video, sucks
ai may be good...but the physics are shit
Brandon Chan what are you talking about, the physics are good
