I love that he's been playing Isaac for like my entire adult life and his content is still basically the same. Like i didn't watch him much for the last year and half, came back and knew exactly what the vibe was.
Hey NL, fully agree about the food for your kids as a parent thing. With my first, my wife and I were 100% on that “she needs a perfectly balanced diet” and tried to get her everything just perfectly. Eventually it stopped working once she gained more of her own personality. With the 2nd, we tried again but a little more lax. At this point, daughter is 5 and son is 2, and some nights I’ll have made some dinner and one or both of them just says something like “Nah, I want a bowl of cereal” and I just let them have it. I also make sure they have some strawberries or sliced apple or cucumber or something healthy to try to balance their meals, but honestly them just not having an empty stomach is the goal at this point. I’ve found there’s really no use arguing, I just want to make sure they’re eating something at least.

NL, my brother in Christ, I'll be 34 in November. I was a DXM user in my early 20s, which lead me to experimental uses of other drugs. DXM is in its own realm of of drugs, there aren't many others that come close in comparison. The feeling is like nothing else I've ever felt.
a friend of mine started taking dxm, led to an eventual meth problem. but he always said after everything the dxm was his favorite while also being the easiest to get. its a big problem, he had a few sezuries and almost died a couple times. he cool now tho but really fuck that stuff
Honestly Tylenol should probably be regulated more strictly than it is. Specifically Tylenol though, because like Acetaminophen overdose is the most common cause of non-alcoholic liver failure in north america specifically because the difference between an Effective Dose and a toxic dose is much smaller than most other OTC meds. I think half the reason it's treated the way it is has to do with how long it's been around. Ibuprofen and Naproxen are both much safer. Then again, taking Acetaminophen with Ibuprofen is safe to do and *very* effective. more effective than opioids for certain kinds of pain.

I'm a therapist, and my supervisor told me something along the same lines: If you ever have a suicidal client, and they tell you they took a bunch of pills, immediately figure out what the pills were. Because apparently, out of all the ways to die from a drug overdose, Tylenol is the worst. It takes days to kill you as your organs gradually shut down - but only a few hours after ingestion, it can become too late to save you. I heard stories of suicidal clients that express relief that they're alive - but then they find out that they did irreversible damage to their bodies and they're still going to die. Horrifying stuff. Moral of the story: be VERY careful with Tylenol.
