    Hi, thank you for the detailed info. Just wondering if it’s possible to use the DJI L2 to do a tree count of any kind ?

      The L2 is not performing a tree count. You would use the L2 to collect the data and Lidar360 Forestry (or similar software) to perform the analysis. The L2 would collect the lidar data and if collected lidar data is adequate, you should get enough data to perform a tree count. You can see the canopies with no issues Finding specified trees based on trunk dimensions (ie all trees 12" or larger) will depend on the vegetation thickness and ability to capture enough data through gaps in the leaves. But to be clear, the L2 is not doing a tree count. It is simply capturing the lidar data and forestry software (ie Lidar360 Forestry) is doing the tree count provided the data collected is adequate for performing the task.

    Amazing ! Do you use GPCs while processing data in DJI Terra? Pls bring more videos about LIDAR360 and L2. Maybe you could make a similar video with TerraSolid? It would be nice to see difference of workflows between these two softwares

      Hi Keyable if it is for survey work, you must always use GCP's. Always. Companies and sales people will lie and tell you "this is so good you don't need GCP's" That is total garbage! You must always have multiple GCP's and also you must have topo shots on slopes to check the accuracy of your contours. I was just showing the process of cleaning up the point cloud but the next steps are checking the accuracy.

      @@DroneMappingTools Great, thanks for the advice! Will be waiting for your next video about Checking Accuracy, when should we expect to see it?

    Is there any way to do manual ground classification adjustments? For example if the LIDAR360 thinks that the tree is a Ground, can I manually remove it? I have noticed, after your Classification, there were some software errors.

      Yes sir. You can select points and change the classification to what ever classification you want them to be. You can also train Lidar360 thru "machine learning" to process data according to your desires or to better classify the types of sites you are flying. What error where you referring to? Let me know the time stamp and I will see what it was.

      @@DroneMappingTools Thanks for the info! From 26:14 to 26:23 where you rotate the model, at the lower left and at the right side (in the middle of open area) there are trees visible, the points are floating in the air.

      @@keyable I believe you are referring to the bottom right corner? You can run a noise filter to help reduce non ground points as well. This was an overview video but you can certainly deep dive into any point cloud to get very detailed on cleaning it up.

    This process is amazing... i have followed the tutorial to work on my dataset and the end DTM i generated had a gap which does not show its elevation... How can i resolve that issue

    • @DroneMappingTools
      @DroneMappingTools  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Freida, does the area that you're missing in your DTM have a very very limited number of ground classified points? Was it under heavy vegetation? What program are you using to generate your DTM? You can upload ur classified point cloud to DroneMapping.WeTransfer.com and I will take a look

      @@DroneMappingTools Hello...the section that is not showing elevation is under heavy vegetation cover. I have started the processing from lidar 360 then later on imported to global mapper...let me share with you the DEM I generated and the classified point cloud...
