Don't do the bookshelf technique to hide a hole or piper will write a article about you
As she should!
Piper is love boi❤
Is that bad thing?
@@BraylonRamsey it is if you're the mayor
@@rainbowcanoe17 you can't even be a mayor unless you are on pc and fallout 4 on pc is boring imo.
Bro ive been playing since launch that settlement build limit is super useful thank you
use gamma guns. they lower the size the most for their weight
Be careful how much you set back though. Build limits are there for a reason.
Dude get the place everywhere mod.
@@greenrabbit860 miss any mods 😩 been playing survival no mods...... it's a dusey 😢
@user-gu5xu5yf1u oh dude there's a guy who made a role back mod. I haven't personally grabbed it as I'm on a fallout 4 VR kick but it can bring your game back to pre update.
I didn’t realise scrapping the guns worked I usually just store them. Save them for when I need them again.
Store them, then drop them again, then store them again.
It takes down the cap and you can reuse the same guns without scrapping
@@samuelthomas8777yes this is the correct answer.
use it a little bit. The limit is there for a reason. So dont go too crazy with this tip or your game might crash or there Will be some bugs.
@@kennethhansen207don’t listen to this dude, push the limits of the game. 😈
@@kennethhansen207 don’t listen to this. I used it a ton with the ps4 and I didn’t have problems.
Great , now for the important stuff, there's a settlement that needs our help, I'll mark it on your map.
Hitting the VATS key on Preston be like....
🤣
So crazy 9 year old game coming back , so happy this game is getting the recognition it deserves
Don't know why it needed a TV adaptation in order to get people playing again. When it came out all the people were complaining but now they're praising it to the stars.
@misanthrope5063 a lot of people echo chamber others instead of freely thinking for themselves. They also expect too much at first and since it's been nearly a decade they think, "eh it's old but it's fun"
But that show definitely sparked some needed nostalgia in me. Seeing the final ep overlook [SPOILER ALERT]
Vegas man, that was awesome
@@ZNX05yea sadly they don't. I just appreciated it for what it was even though it had a few flaws.
@@misanthrope5063Are you old enough to have played 3 and NV?? Because people were bitching and complaining about those games too. Gamers cry about everything.
@@stpbasss3773 please find one piece of art that everybody agrees on and then get back to me
"Shack foundation" is what you're supposed to use when building on uneven surfaces
any foundation will do, but yes.
The more complex the weapon you're scraping is, the more your build settlement meter goes down. So you'll want energy weapons, things with a lot of parts
It just works!
If only I had known these tips 9 years ago. Thank you so much, especially with the floor mat one
My favorite thing to do is start a run and go to Vault 88 for free materials early. Scrapping everything in the main room can give you like over 2000 steel or something like that and a ton of gears, screws, circuitry, and copper to set you for life.
Getting things past clipping issues can be done with an ashtray stand out of the misc. Decorations category. Drop one next to the item you have trouble placing (away from where you need it). Hold select the ashtray and it will pick up the item with it. Your trigger buttons will rotate both around the center of the ashtray, which has a small profile and can help place the item right up to or through most walls or items.
If you do the same process with a concrete post, you can sink the items into the ground.
The pillar glitch also helps put stuff in random places.
"Are you trying to build a settlement in fallout 4"
Me: *chuckles in wasteland roamer* that's funny
You can also just store the weapons if you don't want to destroy them
My youngest wanted to play and that brought me back. I’ve never built before. My biggest issue is my indecisiveness of my buildings.
cyberpunk combat noise at the beginning had me thinking I'm in the wrong place 😂
The scrap glitch for settlement sizing is also a double-edge. Do it too many times and that settlement’s area zone will start to become laggy.
Concrete walls are great for.filling gaps. Also you can put a wall around a settlement with various heights and then put ceilings on them for walk around guard post.
The build limit cheesing is a revelation to me! Thanks 🎉🎉🎉
I like using concrete foundations with the barn floors and walls to build vertically and outward once it's a story or two up. I'll have to try the scrapping trick, I didn't know about that one!
You could also drop the weapons and store them in your workshop pick ‘em and drop them everytime.
Bro the floor mate idea is gonna save me a lot of stress 😂😂
The rug glitch reminds me so much of a game called Wizards101 that I played as a child. You could use carpets to move housing items out of bounds or use them to build impossible structures in that game.
Buddy said "I can teach finesse"
Diamond City watched your video and blocked a hole in their wall with a single bookshelf. Well done.
The rug would have saved my ass forever ago. The gun stuff was a need to know
Just started playing fallout 4 recently after completing 3, the build limit tip is SO DAMN USEFUL TO ME, also what do I do when I for example want to move something or place or but the collision for that item is way too big or in the wrong space? For instance. I want to place a generator but I can't, because the game thinks that I'm trying to place it inside a heavy machine gun turret, which in reality is all the way across the settlement or far away?
There’s an easier way to cheese the limit I found. Wires don’t count if you place them, but they do count if you remove them. It’s tedious but if you find yourself in a pinch remove a wire, then place an item, then put the wire back. Rinse and repeat.
the vertibird crash was so funny for some reason
Also using the poles to raise and sink placeable objects.
I accidentally discovered you could scrap weapons for space. When I did I ended up cramming hangman's alley with so much stuff my framerate would drop. No regrets.
The scrapping trick is old known and vital and works with any item that can be scrapped, not just weapons.
Drop a recources you want to clone on the floor of your settlement. Press store and scrap almost at the same time as fast as possible. It worked ive both options get a infofield overlayed on your screen. Accept both. Done. repeat as needed but keep in mind that the clones do not propperly stag in the workshop inventory so ive you drop it, you will get two parts instead of one. Easy fix though; drop it, collect it and drop it again. Infiniterecources glitch.
Bruh was that the alert sound from cyberpunk 2077 in the beginning
I like the floating look lol one floor stairs holding up a skyscraper is just fine to me 😅
Imagine not using concrete foundations smh my head
I’ve played a lot of fallout and I never knew this stuff, except for the capacity limit. I know that trying to cheese it can bug your game
Bros playing as Ciri🔥🔥
To keep those weapons you can do the scrap store glitch and do it again if needed
when do you tell us how to make daddy love me.
Father loves you if you do the institutes bidding, but his 'love' isn't really worth it .
Uneven ground is fixed by putting down a foundation first. It’s also what goes down fr
Use concrete instead of wood & steel for walls. They will sink into the ground as needed so that they snap together evenly
You can also use the steel beam from the warehouse misc section to move items up and down into the ground, so they're burried, or level.
Just put the tall steel beam next to the item, click and hold until they both are highlighted, and then hold X, and L1 on ps4/5 and use the left joystick to move them up and down
You can also use the one in the barn section, or if you don't have dlc stairs, you can also do this, though it's much harder.
You can use the barn poles or whatever there called to place stuff in walls or floors
This is game changing for me
Okay the gun thing is big brained.
If you want to stack concrete foundations you snap a set of stairs to them then the next foundation will snap ontop of it then delete stairs
There are very useful mods for a much better building experience. Snapping structures, build capacity unlock, and a lot others.
The floor mat glitch only works with items that don't snap
place everywhere mod:
If you dont want to do the gun scrapping method, theres probably a mod that gives you infinite build limit! I have it on Playstation, but its most likely available on pc and xbox too!
Johnny silver hand looking for his son
man these tips would have been useful during my fallout 4 days... welp time for my 4th BoS playthrough
After all that you can grab 'place anywhere' mod and don't have to worry about all that hassle.
2 other tips I’d make a video on. The trick to make electrical wiring go through walls, and the duplication glitch for resources! No mods required and I’m sure you know how to do em?
just store wire and reattach it back will give you more space infinitely
OR, OR HEAR ME OUT! They could just make fences make fucking sense 😂
Mention the ‘pillar glitch’ - you can sink/raise items etc.
Store the weapons so you can take them out the workshop and repeat until your size limit js down to 0
And then fight against those very creations in dlc 😂
I use those wooden walkways as walls for some settlements
Whaaaaaat omg thanks so much for these tips bro !!!!! I had no idea !!! I’m about to build like crazy now that I can scrap guns to make more space
HOLD DOWN THE BUILD BUTTON, now you are group selecting. Now put a pole in the ground near something, and do it again. Now, PLAY!
These building tips are crazy
Nice, this will be helpful for my next playthrough.
Fence post to lower foundations
No need to scrap the weapons, just deposit them in the workshop after dropping on the ground. You can do it infinitely
You can scrap anything to exceed the build limit
This video is amazing and very helpful. Especially the first one since I play on pc and there i can’t understand how to install mods for that.
Be very careful with the settlement size glitch! If you do it too much, the settlement becomes too large for the CPU, and you won't be able to even visit the settlement without it crashing. Also keep in mind ANYTHING you drop on the ground and scrap technically drops the size bar, just in very small amounts. It's difficult to notice, so one day you look up and it says there's NOTHING built on the site, and your megalopolis is lagging so bad you can't move. When your settlement is too large, you won't even be able to approach by foot without all your decor dropping through shelves/tables/etc. I can't walk North from Red Rocket without my Sanctuary requiring hours of work.
I've been playing since the game came out and I didn't know any of these LOL awesome tips thank you!
Bro the last one!!!! Thank you!!!!
The fact that I know the mod to those guns he dropped is cool
Settlement mods for xbox: Cvc Dead Wasteland: It gives you EVERYTHING you'd want to build as a wastelander, From gravecrosses To custom beds, From big boulders, To wall decals
Ocdecorator ALL versions:They add static items so you don't have to use the janky telekinesis mechanic to spiff up your settlements with items you find all across the commonwealth
Place Anywhere: Pretty self explanatory, Make sure to search (Place in redzones) It'll explain in the desc
And finally
Scrap that settlement: A scrap mod mod that lets you scrap more specific items, without getting in your way, It let's you get rid rid of those nasty decals you can find in almost every settlement
Bonus:Conquest
Put a bookcase there...great tip 😂😂😂
Instead of scavenging I just set up a weapon forge or two and then have them run while I go do stuff also use whatever’s cheapest
Dang, I’ve always done that with my guns so I wouldn’t confuse them at the station, have I unknowingly been increasing my build limit. Makes sense I’ve got a lot of stuff built. I was always like what is this cod’fangled build limit everyone speaks about. Hahaha
I didn't know about that first one
Bro.....this is gonna change how I build
Samurai is that you 😂
Awesome tips from the first to the last thank you!
Wow, these tips are actually useful. Why am I only learning about them now?
Yo! Budget pillar glitch, big w
Don't scrap the weapons, just drop and store them. Then get them out of the workshop, drop and store again. Plus, the more complex the weapon, the more it drops your size meter. I typically hold on to fully kitted out combat rifles, hunting rifles, and handmade rifles in groups of five to drop down whenever I reach the size limit (groups of six or more will drop in bulk, not individually, and will only count as one when doing this).
Don't scrap, but store, this way you only need couple guns to easily repeat this.
My settlements are so basic I know if I try to build them I will get ocd so I just strategically place guard posts around main buildings
Instead of scrapping, store the weapons. And weapons with more attachments will work best
Dont scrap items. Store them. The more complex the weapon or armor or item, the more the settlement limit goes down per piece. Then, if you need to lower it more, you can pull them back out of the work bench and drop them again
These are actual good advice. Surprising for a random shorts vifeo
I was wondering why my sanctuary had no size but it’s because I scrap guns for parts lol
My God that mat then something you want on top then phasing through stuff that just made me cream. I'm going to use this now thank you
Hey, these were solid tips, great for console players especially with no console access.
Found out a long time ago you can only build so far verticle
I have like, almost 600hrs. NEVER knew about scraping guns to lower build limit, its always such an issue for me I downloaded a mod for it
You don't have to scrap the weapons just storing it is enough
I didnt know i needed this video
Tbh i never play without mods, so i always get mods that give me infinite build limits or increase them by alot
LMAO, book case to cover a gap. Is that a Diamond City joke?
I don't think the random bookcases inside of those pens matched the environment
You can just store the weapons and don't have to lose em by scraping them
