Jesus Eyes - Holly Silva (In Honor of My Momma)

- In July 2021, I got a phone call that turned my life upside down. My mom had a sudden stage 4.5 brain aneurysm. When I came home to NJ and I saw her in her hospital bed, I began to reflect on her life. As I reflected I began to see that my mom saw the world and lived her life in a way that is so rare to find. She saw the world through Jesus' Eyes. Mom sat with outcasts and loved every person she came in contact with... & I mean truly loved them. I began to see what made her so special, so beautiful, and strong was and is her faith.
My mom passed on August 7th, 2021 after 19 days. 19 days of prayer for the Lord to heal her this side of Heaven. 19 days of sharing her story and her love for the Lord with thousands as her story spread throughout the world. The Lord used my mom even while she was in that hospital bed because we received messages from people who said they wanted to be better parents, go to church again, pick up their Bible and serve the Lord for, possibly, the first time. All because of the power of Jesus.
I want to see the world this way. Every time I hear this song it reminds me to hold on tighter to my family, to the Lord, and to not lose sight that despite everything going wrong in this world, there is still a Savior. I pray that those who hear this song and watch this video find comfort, hope, and a new perspective. This world is not all there is. We will see the ones we love again. This life is not about anything other than sharing the love of Jesus by spending time, having a servant's heart, and loving people where they are at. I pray we begin to see the world through Jesus' eyes.

I am so thankful my prayers were answered and that this song has touched hearts and has been a comfort to those who are grieving. I am sad people can relate to this pain, but honored that this can bring a level of peace. I pray it continues to do so. I am praying continuously for those grieving and hurting. Hold on to Jesus. May the LORD continue to comfort the faint hearted. I lost my Father last October and still yearn to see him again. Although hurtful, the LORD is close to HIS people who are broken hearted.✝️🙏🏽

@@hollysilva4521 Well here's the full memory for you sweetie. Your parents came over (across the street on Olympia) for a little party we were having. You must have been 7 or 8. I had a professional karaoke machine setup (from my military days in Japan). Your mother sang and the party just stopped. She was phenomenal. As I remember it, your Dad went out and bought a karaoke machine a few days later and we would beg her to sing any time we came over your house. Your Mom was beautiful in every definition of the word. I am sure you know this but I hope it's nice to hear others think the same way. God bless.

Karaoke on the back deck/in the living room is something I love to reminisce on when I think of my mommy. She had such a princess voice. You are right... she was beautiful in every way.
