Tom, Jay and Tim were my inspiration to start a home lab and learn new things ( virtualization, self hosting, enterprise server/network gear etc. ). I've learned a lot from this awesome 3.
Thank you guys for sharing your knowledge and having such amazing YT channels!

Missed this one. would have been fun to reminisce about the tech and when you started. Although I remember trying to recreate Pong on a TRS-80 I was never really into games. First network I was responsible used Western Digital StarLan and lattisnet. In remote offices (not they were connected) it was all Arcnet and token ring networks. First home lab was mocking up Novell upgrades 2.2 -> 3.1x -> 4.11. Anyone else have a novell network at home? I also remember messing with banyon vines a bit at home. Never used that in production.

The big jump to windows.... 50% of the PCs did not have disk drives. So their IPX/SPX boot floppy disks pointed at a shared windows 3 install on a Novell server. Pretty sure I mocked that up at home first. It worked as well as you would expect. I got the funding to replace the rest of the PCs.

I just got ahold of a new server so I can expand the number of VMs I can run at the same time.

What solution are you using for the video calls? I’m looking at different remote podcasting/interview options and I’m curious what you’re using.

I'm not saying that there is anything wrong with the original duo, but I would love it if this was the new podcast trio. Just saying.
