Held this knife at Blade Show, definitely one you need to hold to appreciate it in full. While posting about it though, I learned one thing- people really don’t like Benchmade 😳 😂
Benchmade is cool, I really like their new immunity knives. I was at Bladeshow and held one and it is unbelievably thin. Wish it was about $200 cheaper though. 😅
I really like this knife! Bought one as soon as it was available. Im a big fan of lightweight folders and this gives you the best size to weight in the industry. The price is steep and you can get allot of great knives for much less that most people would be just as happy with. That said if you are not one of the Chinese fan boys that love knocking Benchmade every chance they get and you appreciate a unique lightweight carry with premium materials and build quality than you can’t go wrong with the Narrows.
I do get tired of Civivi and WE Knives fanboys acting high and mighty after selling out their countrymen. You don't even have to spend that much to get an equivalent US knife.
Fidgeting with my Narrows as I watch this. I love collecting knives, and I have plenty. But I definitely got this as a “Go-to” knife. It’s an incredible carry. On top of all the points mentioned in the video, it’s also incredibly easy to maintain, you can take the blade and bearings out without taking apart the whole knife, and then put it back effortlessly.
Glad to hear a review on it, I think this would be best suited for backwoods camping or on a trekking adventure. The light weight and durability is a must in those situations.
I feel something people forget is that Benchmade advertises their m390 at 58-61, which is even worse than most of the Chinese companies for for theirs 59-61. Imagine paying $500 for a knife that has m390 in the 50’s.
My question is how the ergos work if you actually use it, aside from as a $500 letter opener? I don’t have a problem per se with the cost although I feel the ethos around CRK, Hinderer, Koenig is perceptually more high quality than benchmade.
For the price I’d go with the Sinkevich 460TI all day. 3.25 inch CPM 20 CV blade, knife is only 2.3 oz - all titanium handle. I’ve seen some complaints that it’s a little small from mens hands but ladies (or if buying for a lady), this is a serious pink tax avoidance. You can grab one for 150 - 160 bucks at blade HQ. It took some adjusting to get the blade to open comfortably every time. At 1/3 the price of the narrows absolutely worth a 10 dollar wrench.
I'll still take my Zaan over this, the heft of the Zaan is reassurance in that it's gonna see me through whatever is thrown at me. I didn't handle a Narrows at Blade, hopefully at ATL 24, but I'm sure it's impressive. Impressive enough to make me spend MORE than a Zaan? We'd have to see.
The Schrade Slyte Folder is a very budget-friendly alternative. The SOG Ultra XR is super thin as well. It's more of a Gentalman's folder. I wish more companies offered slim knives!!
My daily is currently the Bugout in titanium (which was surprisingly only $360 compared to the Narrows.) Maybe I will switch it out for this Narrows for the new Axis system since I can't be blessed with the Anthem.
I've been looking to buy a folding knife for the last 4 months and weighing up so many factors bc there are just so many great folders out there now to the Benchmade it's a knife i go back to time and time again but it think an alkalis heel and that is the 'Omega spring' in my mind it is hard to get past, but now the 'Narrows' has an improvement that is really getting looked over just a change, this new Robust spring is a game changer from the weak Omega spring. It's funny i think Benchmade are lol to all the doubters of the weak breaking Omega's and saying look at this tiny beast and also kiss this price guys.
People saying it's too expensive have nothing to worry about. Good ol'Benchamde will make a 300$ FRN s30v version soon enough which is 100% totally worth it and not a scam.
I don’t understand the Narrows. I can get a Chris Reeve Large Sebenza 31 in magnacut for 500. Benchmade has lost the plot with their pricing. The Narrows is a good 30% priced higher than what it should be. If you want lighter, you can get a small Sebenza, and still end up cheaper than what a narrows costs. and let’s be honest here. The Narrows is trying to be a Sabenza clone. Titanium with blue accents? Seems very familiar to me. And I don’t hate benchmade. They’ve just gotten crazy on their pricing.
Blue idolized metal m390 and titanium - wow I can’t believe it’s only $520 I’m mean where can you find a deal like that - so much positive - and if it “feels robust” than it’s gotta be worth it- less is more obviously in this department - the less they provide in materials the more we pay - thanks for such an awesome and honest review- if more people can do honest reviews like this looking forward to paying more and more for less as time goes on - thank you ❤
Mine only really pops out with a wrist flick, but I actually really like that. It only comes out when I want it to, in a fidgety way. It’s fun pulling it out of the pocket, flicking the wrist and it comes rocketing out.
While looking for a new Benchmade last 5 days I’ve seen a ton of reviews about this knife, good and bad. While also comparing knives sold by Chris Reeves and the insane demand and unfair comparison from OZ Machine Company, The Roosevelt. I paid less then $500 for this knife, I was Lucky! I decided to pay that amount cause it’s an innovative knife. It’s thin, it’s titanium, very decent steel. I still believe in Benchmade. Have you people seen the cost of Beef lately? Everything is going up! If you don’t want to spend the money, then don’t. But, I can’t wait to carry this blade in my pocket and know that it will do it’s true purpose in design…Self Defense.
I honestly can't see myself getting a Narrows. It's way too thin for me and seriously overpriced in comparison to other knives that you can get with the same materials for less than half the price.
The anthem clone is good too$30.00 ! Even the so called american made are made with Chinese cnc machines ( haven't look for awhile but I can find no American made cnc machines ) !
It's pretty cool ! I would pay $53.00 for one ! Thats what I just paid for the clone ! Some say that rips off benchmade !!? Well it's their turn to be ripped off ! What do they charge for this $50.00 clone ! Benchmade knives are made by Chinese cnc machines ! I'm just skipping the middile rip off man !
Just buy a 940-2 and throw on rockscale ti scales. $350 total and a much nicer design. $550 for a production knife and not a midtech is insane. Benchmade makes some nice knives. But a lot of them are way overpriced for what you get compared to so many other companies.
Smh this has to be a joke right. I’m waiting for Benchmade you jump out and say $540 SIKE! Where just joking. Lmao seriously because imo $540 for that knife is utterly and completely insane. Because for that much money you’re going into custom fixed blade territory and Randall knives. And folders you could get a damn Strider or Spartan Harsey folder. Come on Benchmade you gotta do better. 💯
Nah nah nah. You sold out this video. I had this knife. Horrible ergos, horrible price, horrible looking, horrible action. There’s a real review for ya.

The only issue I have with Benchmade is pricing. They always seem to be overpriced.
@@dalecarr5445 I agree, same principle as Rolex. It's all in the name. Omega is a lot more bang for your buck. Also you can actually get them 🤣👍
It’s cool to hate the popular kids. Prices are getting a bit high but still make great knives
@@DavidHurst91 I want the full immunity. Super awesome knife

I like my Benchmades cause I actually use and carry, thin ain't my thing but I do appreciate strong, lightweight Etc'. Thankyou for the Content!
I can appreciate thin, easy carry knives, and I appreciate the iteration on the axis lock, but I just can't see how they landed on that price point
Glad to hear a review on it, I think this would be best suited for backwoods camping or on a trekking adventure. The light weight and durability is a must in those situations.

Also, Microtech does the same thing, and they should definitely raise their HRC or use a different steel.
You both don’t understand what the knife is for
@@ronaldraygun2639yeah…not to use lol like he said it’s essentially just a collectors knife.
Got mine for a few weeks. It’s my new go to knife. Honestly no regrets. I love this knife

I think it’s apples to oranges. One is twice the weight and probably twice the thickness.
Benchmade could put a butterfly on a turd and people would buy that sh*t for 500$
Actually, there have been 2 sitting for sale @ REC for 2 days now. If it was integral, I’d snag one.
For what I see here, for over 500. No thanks.
I once saw a butterfly siting on a piece of dog shit in my backyard...but ultimately I chose not to purchase

I need to get that just for the fidget factor

I would have though benchmade to be that type of knife brand to build “The EDC knife” and it looks like they have delivered

Awesome review of that @benchmade knife man! Love it!
Cool review. Ty for the feedback 👍🏼👍🏼
I love mine!
Where did you hear that this new lock is 40% better?
CRKT Ripple (Ken Onion) is extremely thin yet robust. Strong blade and rigid construction.
I’ve seen people having issues with the detent being very weak. The blade pops out with a slight shake.
Mine only really pops out with a wrist flick, but I actually really like that. It only comes out when I want it to, in a fidgety way. It’s fun pulling it out of the pocket, flicking the wrist and it comes rocketing out.
Dream knife. Want it so bad

The BM Narrows 🤣
That knife should be sold for $200 or less 💯
Not made in the US it couldn’t
they need to bring back the anthem
The only worthy blade they made is the Nimravus. They'd score a homerun if they remade it with an updated, powder steel version.
Ganzo springs never break !
I don’t know anyone who looked at a Bugout and thought “this is too thick and heavy.”
I honestly can't see myself getting a Narrows. It's way too thin for me and seriously overpriced in comparison to other knives that you can get with the same materials for less than half the price.

You are correct, that knife is only for Benchmade fan boys... it literally has the same clip as the bug out 😂😂😂 Benchmade really knows their market

It looks unfinished, and I can get M390 for a lot cheaper.
Price is steep but you gotta pay to play. Set looks clean bro 👊🏼👍🏼
Thanks man! 👊🏼
I've spent more on other knives that I liked less... Benchmade hate is trending
Oh I see, you got compensated, I don't think we've handled the same knife

This is why I stopped buying/collecting knives. Benchmade is smoking crack! $500 😂🙄
Top 3 mini EDC that you can recommend ...
This knife is so over price you can buy 2or 3 knifes for this price. Who it for very rich people
this knife is 20 on temu lol
Meh, gimme a Code 4 and $400 to go in my pocket with it.
For that price I’d rather buy a Spartan Blades Harsey Folder
The clone is $24.00 ! A reasonable price!
I'm trying to figure out how this video is 2 weeks old. You have less than 200 likes and more than half a million followers
first- pin me?

No, there's YOUR opinion.
Bro, I like it man, but not now later on
Overpriced, overrated garbage.
