for this particular science lab with arrangements for a student strength of about 20 students per lab session, it costs around Rs.1.5lakhs. But that will greatly vary. For example, we bought human skeleton, human torso, and various other science models, along with 7 microscopes. These alone bring up the cost significantly. In addition, we are planning to fill one entire side of the wall with formalin preserved biological specimens. That will be extra cost again. We want the school lab to be a fun, entertaining room that encourages the curiosity and interest of the students by keeping interesting things, which are not necessarily included in syllabus. But If you strictly follow the practical syllabus experiments and you do not buy anything outside syllabus, it might come down to even Rs.1lakh. And if you can find a offline lab supply dealer who can sell equipments to you without taxes, shipping handling charge etc at wholesale rate, then you can reduce the cost further.
