And it did the job. Not once did he go down. I think that shows a great defense. Now he should work on his offense.

Everybody, including the ref, his own team and the ring doctor, thought that Briggs needed that whooping. I can't figure why else they wouldn't have stopped it after the 8th or 9th. Mans got beat like a bongo drum for 12 rounds 💀
It's such an obvious mismatch. Briggs didn't defend himself well AT ALL.
He's not even reasonably defending himself, he just stood there and got hit. OK, I'll credit him for being able to take a hit but that's not going to win a fight for you.
What ever the result in the fight Klitschko needed loud opponents to sell his fights. A majority of viewers were more interested in watching a loudmouth get karma than just watching Klitschko who wasn't very exciting anywhere.
I was a little worried that Klitchko was going to break his hand on Briggs face.
Briggs face the consequences of talking trashed..... louder the mouth getting worse moreover in the ring...
Vitali Klitschko even showed up at the hospital to visit Briggs which shows you the type of person Klitschko and his brother are!!

He does that every fight. It's just an act to hype the fight. Hype=interest, interest=pay per view dollars. In real life he's always been cool with the Klitchkos.
It's amazing to me how many people fail to realize Briggs and Klitschkos were friendly with each other and trained together. The WHOLE thing was to sell ppvs for a fight people weren't excited about.

I think Klitschko did not want to knock Briggs down at all...for all the name calling and bragging, he purposefully let him stand up for the whole 12 rounds and pounded on him at will...A single knockout punch could not have induced the damage Briggs suffered LOL
Kind of like when GSP hit Josh Koschek with jabs to his right eye for an entire fight. He wasn't going for the KO, he just wanted to make Josh suffer and succeeded brilliantly.

For me it was the Briggs vs Klitcho.. Briggs has always suffered some sought of adult learning difficulty and behaved in a disgusting manner but he could back up his boasting he was a very tuff man. Secondly Klitcho conducted himself perfectly and the better of the 2 brothers in my book

They didn't show it in these clips, but at one point Pascal tries to do this bizarre attack in one of the later rounds where I throws both arms in the air diving at Bivol. It was surreal. Total desperation.

The disrespect and the lack of control from the guy that threw the red shoe at the legend Klitschko is appalling. Some fighters just have a gift for making themselves hated. And for the record just cause you keep repeating something over and over again in the same exact toe of voice louder than everyone else in the room doesn’t make you right and it doesn’t make it something that needs to be answered or dealt with or addressed. you’re like a baby crying in the corner you leave it alone to eventually stop or cry itself out. And fall asleep. And then, when Klitschko gives him a little taste of his own medicine, he starts with the menacing don’t touch me like that as if he’s not the one who threw a freaking shoe! Just cause you got all those muscles doesn’t mean you’re a stronger man; it just means you need a bigger shirt, that’s all.
In all my years watching boxing, it was painfully obvious how afraid Briggs was of Klitchko. All that talk was for his own mind to quell or attempt to quell his own fear and insecurities. 😅

The big takeaway I'm getting from a lot of these videos is that these dudes are always super pumped about beating the shit out of each other, and yet it's part of the sport's PR circuit to have them stare each other down at kissing distance with the expectation that they won't handle the photoshoot like cranky 5 year olds.

Briggs acted like a bufoon and fought like one too. You can see all the bawling and shouting is bluster and he's scared. Better to show some humility, that way getting completely thrashed doesnt appear as bad. As Bruce Lee said "showing off is a fools idea of glory".

There was no real beef between the Klitshkos and Briggs. You can see Vitali smiling after Shannon's antics. They all realize it's for show and made some good money from a fight otherwise (without the antics) most people wouldn't watch.
