  • Join me as I make my way to Chicken Bridge from Union Bridge located in Chapel Hill NC. Water levels were 800 cfs and about 4.2 feet. This section is about 5.5 miles and features class 1-2 rapids. I ran this section in conjunction with the section above for a total distance of around 11 miles.

Your buddy get a new inflatable? is that star viper XL???? I've been really curious about that boat. There's another channel i watch that a guy paddles one of those and he does some serious water in it.

I don’t think that’s what it is. I’ll have him reply to this. He has 4 inflatables I think. I know most of them can handle big water

@Theriverpaddlers I've been ppaddling an aire tater the past 6 months.. I'm not sure if I like it. I'm way more stable and comfortable but im giving up a lot of performance compared to a hard boat.
I've heard the viper preforms more like a hardboat is why i was curious.
      Good video, bud!

Yea Wes it's a star viper XL, I like it for an inflatable, but it's still no hard shell. I think I'm gonna sell it and just use hard shell for most runs and just use inflatable packrafts if I want to hike in or out or around. Whatever, I'm going hard shell or pack raft
