Historically Informed Performance is not only concepts & instructions, it is embodied in physical/aural skills acquired from practical experience.
Starting from Caccini's priorities, that "Music is Text & Rhythm, with Sound last of all (and not the other way around!)", you can use this video to practise Historical Rhythm, i.e. Tactus.
You can also use it while you practice your pieces. If you need a slightly different Tactus-tempo, just let me know, and I'll send you an edited video at the optimum tempo for your piece.
Meanwhile, in case you didn't already notice, the feeling of Tactus is very different from the sharp click of a Metronome. If you want to use a metronome to practise Early Music, turn the sound off, and just observe the swinging arm. A home-made 1metre pendulum is even better (piece of string with your harp key tied on the end). And the aim is to internalise this feeling of movement, this sense of a slow, steady beat.
You can't read, write or think your way to this inward understanding, you have to practise it.
