That's not correct, the national anthem of Greece was adopted only in 1865 by a royal degree of HM King of the Hellenes George I. Until 1832 the First Hellenic Republic didn't have any official anthem (unofficially and popularly a religious hymn called "Τη υπερμάχω Στρατηγώ" was mostly used). In 1832, after the greek Governor Ioannis Capodistrias was murdered, Greece became a Kingdom. It's first King was HM King of Greece Otto I and he was the second son of the King of Bavaria. Thus, from 1832 until 1862, when King Otto was exiled, the anthem of the Kingdom of Bavaria was used as a Royal anthem for honouring HM King of Greece Otto I.
