In recovery its quite common to refere to ones progress by how much do you love the man in the mirror. I compare my inside ( self image ) to your outside ( all i can see ), and i lose every time. The trick is as you said, learn to accept and believe the good things. . Great reaction Don. Good song.
Thanks Andrew for your request and for your service. You have a very listenable voice and I enjoyed the pickin'. You are on your way. My advice to you is, if this is what you want to do, keep at it even if it gets hard. As always, thanks for the reaction
Andrew has a unique and distinctive voice. Interesting song. Late 80's early 90's Country style musical arrangement. Good song, I liked it. Well written.
Thank you so much for the kind words and reaction Don! I appreciate your time and effort in doing so. You threw me in a camp with some big names that I admire, what an honor that is. Thank you. I think this was written a bit for my inner child that needed to hear this and has never fully been healed and has other trauma and combat like a cherry thrown on top of it all. I think every single one of us faces our own versions of this trauma/growth cycle. I’m doing much better these days but still feel it all creep in from time to time as I’m only human. I’m learning to be much kinder to myself these days and balance it all out as you explained you learned in your yoga training. Thank you again to you and the community. So much love🙏🏼
@AndrewWiscombemusic I can see that, Andrew, and it makes sense. You've got a good grip on what's going on with yourself. The truth may make us free, but it can be tough at first. Then we adjust, put it all in perspective, and fine joy in the small things in life. P.S. Your post (above mine) contains a lot of elements of another song.

Andrew is as good a human as he is a songwriter. Thank you for boosting his art. I love him so.

Thanks to Andrew and Don for this poignant song and the accompanying reaction.
