PUERTO RICO What They Don't Show You

In today's Puerto Rico video, I'm sharing my driving in Puerto Rico. I'll take you on a virtual road trip through some of the top driving destinations on the beautiful island of Puerto Rico.
I'll start by driving to Old San Juan, where there is colorful colonial architecture, historical landmarks and also this is where you'll dock if you are coming from a cruise ship.
Next I'll drive to ocean park beach Puerto Rico that is within walking distance from my Airbnb and also drive around Condado, Isla verde and Santurce, Puerto Rico
Lastly I'll take you to El Yunque Rainforest in Puerto Rico.

Sick and tired of these videos titled "Puerto Rico not what expected." So what exactly did these tourist expected?? Unpaved streets, no cars, indigenous people running around with loin cloth, small filthy huts, uneducated population? Puerto Rico is an industrial vibrant island full of beauty, history and most of all with more college graduates than the US mainland. Most of the Puerto Ricans are bilingual now ask the mainland population if they are bilingual it is like looking for a needle in a haystack.

Hopefully you won't have to rent a car in Puerto Rico because Rental car franchises will make you pay double for that car even if you made your reservation on-line before getting there. They won't honor your own car insurance or insurance you purchase on-line. You'll have to wait about 3 weeks to get your deposit back in your credit car. If you take the road tolls option They'll charge you a hefty convenience fee. Those companies are owned/managed by greedy crooks. It's a beautiful island but I stay away from it for that reason. That needs to be regulated by the Puerto Rican government. Because there are lots of places to visit without being ripped off.

@@carolineceraIt has happened to me more than once. Every time I have to go there it's the same bad experience. In fact the last time I rented from Budget at the airport. They charged me $55.00 for using the fuel option. I took it because I thought I was only going to be charged for the actual fuel I used. But I ended up paying $55.00 for 4 gallons of gas. They charged me a $17.85 convenience fee on top of what I paid for the tolls I had to use. Using Airbnb's is the same thing. You never know where your going to end up. And if you park on some one's claimed place on the street, chances are they'll do something to your rental car.
