I killed Mogh while cosplaying as Rodahn. The first 4 or so shots at him I started to doubt I would beat him but the 6th was surprisingly easy. He's really good at telegraphing everything he does.
Lol gotta love the wins you don't expect. Claw moves shook things up a bit but you're right most his attacks have quite a read on them especially after a couple battles.

Since he didn't hit me all that often, I didn't mind the flask spent during the phase transition (then I found out about the purifying tear, that was a game changer for future playthroughs). The key to phase two is strafing and rolling to the side, or rolling in to him on most of his attacks. Being close to him is safe most of the time, thats why he has his blood shower attack, because he knows his reach can be used against him

This is probably common knowledge at this point, but for anybody just seeing this short now; When he snaps, you don't have to dodge at all. Just walk around him counter-clockwise to avoid the bloodflame attack, then when he sweeps with his spear it'll go right over your head. So instead of dodging, Just walk around his left side and then you're free to get a few hits off
Not huge but a little tip here: if you have his shackle, you can only use it twice during the first phase, BUT, if you get some good damage in and you see he’s just about to start some strong attack you hit that shackle while you’re really close and get some free damage(usually about a combo’s worth) in. And if you can get some solid jumping heavies in during that time, you can break him and get a crit as he’s coming out of the shackle.
Alternatives I found - Step 2 - watch for the snap, as he's about to finish the reach around, roll forward through it. Step 3 - get an attack in, walk to the right, and get close to mohg to avoid his swing on the left. Then, as his swing misses you, queue up a power stance or ash of war attack. Big opening there.
I simply killed him or figured out how to beat him... I used rock slings and a staff , every 4 rock slings he gets stunned and I hit him , I also summoned a mimic tear to help me to not get hit and did the same thing over and over even after hes mid phase transformation . ( Figured out after getting clapped for 20 times) :D
I hit him until his health is 2/3 of his hp and staggered him causing his health to drop half. At that time he'd try to cast his curse so I spam my skill and heavy attacks to make sure he wouldn't heal in time which killed him before he reached his 2nd phase. I use bloodhound btw
I triple buffed, summoned battle nagr Hughes and then stood behind him using grace scythe and spinning strikes in order to kill him before he got to phase 2. Fuck this boss.
Step 1: Mimic Tear Step 2: Dragon Breath the inflicts Scarlet Rot Step 3: Keep blasting him while the Mimic draws aggro until he is dead It's what I did to kill him in one of my videos

I just pound him with the blade with my Mimic Tear, put him in a shackle, slash him, hit him while he healed, and keep doing that. Finally beat him under 10 minutes, i was so pissed and was going to sleep. When i beat him i was like "Okay... that was unexpected".
Its the Purifying Crystal tear. That bad boy is dropped by Eleonora, violet bloody finger at the second church of Marika. It's west of the royal capital
Yes, in phase one, he doesn't have a cut scene, so if you have scarlet pots, rot him near the end of phase one while shackled. If you don't have the crimson bubble tear to counter his phase shift skill then just chug pots, he only uses the 3 burst move once during the fight.

For those gigachads who use magic like me, you can just use the Comet Azur, Terra Magicus and the Hidden Cerulean Tear + Magic-Shrouding Tear Wonderous Physick combo. Just be sure to be close enough that the Comet will hit him. Tada! Almost instant kill. Do not stop when he does his “Nihil” chant.

It's not my build that's the problem he's too slow for me 😂 it took me 4 days to beat malenia but I did started a ng+ and forgot how annoying he was the first time he's the only character I used mimic against so i think i never got to learn his moveset like the others 💀
@@Wubzy66 idk, I beat mohg 4th try but maliketh felt like bullshit because of how much he dashes and moves in his second phase, took me like 10 tries to barely get a grasp on his move set and get a lucky kill 😅
@@Wubzy66 yeah, I do not agree. You have the Fire Giant; Maliketh, the Black Blade and Rykard, Lord of Blasphemy. Not even the greatest of magic builds can kill them easily enough. Hell, Rykard has a weapon specifically for the fight to make it easier.

Just use any bleed weapon he’s unironically extremely weak to it despite being the lord of blood
You can also use that Wonderous Physick Purifying Tear to stop the curse from damaging you at all.

This is probably common knowledge at this point, but for anybody just seeing this short now; When he snaps, you don't have to dodge at all. Just walk around him counter-clockwise to avoid the bloodflame attack, then when he sweeps with his spear it'll go right over your head. So instead of dodging, Just walk around his left side and then you're free to get a few hits off
Step 1 : Bleed
Step 2 : Dodge forward to the left
Step 3 : Try fingers but hole
Step 9 if all else fails use the Kamehameha

i got this video in my recommended a couple of hours after I beat Mohg. Weird thing is also used the Greatsword. Had different armor though.
I "cheated" I rolled astrologer and melted him down using azurs comet.

In ng+, he gains back about 20% health every time he procs bleed; and not just during the transition phase

Mohg is one of the easiest bosses in the game
Most of his attacks are easy but he has this weird delay attack which suddenly comes out superfast that always used to disrupt my flow while dodging.
