Beautiful models. My 71 was originally B-5 blue. I'm thinking of switching to Purple but looking at this video has me second guessing the color choice. Interior looks great but wrong for 71. Looks like 70 covers. My car was a 340 from factory but it's getting the 426 and 4 speed. I just need time to wrench on it. Got most of the parts already. 10K in sheet metal alone.
These new cudas are nice models overall, but my problem with the re released highway 61 castings (which this is one of) put out by ACME and HW61 is the corner cutting. If you look at the bottom of the gauge cluster on any of their cudas (which is just a sticker, unlike the originals) you can see the bump where the speedometer used to be on the standard non rallye dash that all of the old highway 61 cudas had. Which is especially upsetting when considering how these are priced; despite them being nothing more than re releases that don’t differentiate in any way from the originals, aside from cost cutting on interior materials and the addition of new wheel and color combos carried over from ACMEs other models.
That 1 dimensional dash with cheap stickers ruin any and every car done like that. Will not purchase. Not to mention no carpeting, cheap seats, etc. Horrible interiors.
I'm guessing it was a factory mess up? I would refer to the designer sheet to confirm what the actual colors will be. Both of these cars are just test samples.
black is amazing
That blue Fish is incredibly cool! So nice.

I didn't realize ACME went the way of the decal dash. I thought that was a Greenlight choice only. Bummer

how do you keep getting these samples lol
I'm friends with the owner. He asked me to do a preview of one of their cars last year. After doing that one I asked if I could some more previews. :)
