jacw212 Lucina pretty much only gets 2 hit confirms (excluding dancing blade and nair strings). Mario on the other hand is a “combo character” who can get about 5-8 hits per confirm. The commentator completely ignored how different the characters are.
Great matches by both players, was torn between who I wanted to see win because I play both characters. Commentary wasn't the best at 2:14, but the only direction she can go in is up.
I agree, i also feel like though mr. E just plays her extremely streamlined a lot of the time, which might make it so he can't beat a lot of top players

@@ll_tsu it’s not even Mario’s worst. Fireball helps a little, and once Mario gets in, Lucina will be in disadvantage for a very long time. And Mario’s worst MU is Shulk BTW
@@chordalharmony Lucina is Mario’s 2nd worst matchup, with only Shulk being worse. Once Mario gets in, he can do combos, but the idea is that he can’t get in. Fireball is bad in this matchup, only really good for getting a snipe offstage to mess up recovery. Otherwise, they can just swat it with the sword, and if you’re trying to approach with it, the fireball will extend the hit box and hit Mario. Mr.E was playing too aggressive in this matchup.

Also not free, as a Mario main, if the Lucina plays more aggressive and runs into your combos it is significantly easier for the Mario
