I discovered the floor stack on accident last night, and now i have a bunkered core with like 5 layers of floors. Aint no body raiding my baby, i lived through enough Rust 😂
I have been floorstacking but the old fashioned way from Rust...building 7 squares out, place triangle, build triangles back...gives you perfect wall stack gap. Only issue I see with this is in pvp wouldnt rockets aoe the exposed wall ends? damage all walls at once if they shoot in corners or have you tested it
for me it's ok for the roofs but stacking that walls seems impossible cause the foundation don't go that close to the other without stacking, how u can do this?
Here’s where the trick comes in, lower your camera slightly until it no longer snaps to the existing foundation. Then, you can place the new foundation with a small gap, allowing you to stack the walls.
Have you tested what I mentioned last time? if explosions will affect multiple layers of walls when stacked. Also, change the texture to Glass pack, add some walls next to it full of those arrow neon signs like saying "IT IS HERE" Just to piss off the raiders. LOL
Yes, the area of effect from explosives does not impact the backside of the wall, so stacking the wall will ensure that it remains undamaged when the front side sustains damage.
How feasible is this build during Stronghold Conquest? Because usually, even if I complete my defense a day before the Conquest, they would still get raid and broke in the day of the Conquest, and keep getting raid till the very last minute, 15m before the conquest start. Restacking the wall in time for the conquest would be a nightmare, I think. Can you make videos about base defense for Stronghold Conquest? My noob ass can't build one strong enough.
The first appearance you see is just a sample of how the structure stacking is made. You can always enhance your base even further to make it more impenetrable, just as I demonstrated at 05:37.
With Grid Snap disabled, I still have foundations snapping not allowing me to space them to space the walls. I am not sure what I am doing wrong, but something isn't right.
Hiding the foundation under the ground is now a bannable offense. Devs released a statement yesterday addressing players taking advantage of terrain to make their base indestructible, or nearly indestructible, as abusing mechanics and applicable for the ban hammer. So, proceed with caution.
I'm confident the ban targets the exploit of hiding entire rooms underground and using teleport doors to access them repeatedly, making it easier to protect purification or territory terminals. However, players might not realize that this scenario can sometimes happen unintentionally. We've occasionally buried some structures when relocating to a complex locations, which resembles this trick. That said, use this method at your own risk. To stay safe, it's better to stick to stacking walls and ceilings instead.
@@azzel83 If you hide part of your base so that it cannot be targeted or destroyed, that is exploiting and a bannable offense. Devs said not just hiding underwater but even on mountain tops, which are still accessible. Using elevation isn't even hiding them to be inaccessible. It's using terrain to your advantage. It's simple 'king of the hill' style defense, yet they consider that bannable. If you're hiding part of your base underground or anything that makes your base, or part of your base, inaccessible and you get caught/reported, you're likely getting the ban. Minimum is 10 days iirc.
@@adidas2684 where do they say that? cus theres obviously a clear diff between "this is placed on a super high mountain that the devs should have blocked off but didn't, and people can't get up here" versus "you can climb up this mountain from every direction by pressing space bar even without double jump etc" and attacking the base up there.
@@ashryver3605 I read it on a notice they posted through steam. I'm sure it's elsewhere as well. There is a ambiguity to it, but they did specifically call out underwater and mountaintops. It seems pretty clear cut that doing something like putting your base underwater is a clear misuse of building mechanics since you can't shoot through/under water. However, mountain top bases are still able to be shot at and you can climb the mountain. You just may need to get creative about how. I found a path up a mountain that you couldn't just spacebar up. It took some clever acrobatics and gliding between different spaces, but didn't abuse any mechanics to do it. So, while it's not abusing game mechanics, it is seemingly a place unintended to reach and should be blocked off. Building in places like that which make it impossible or near impossible to attack is essentially an abuse of mechanics. So, stuff like hiding foundation underground, like in this video, is a clear misuse of mechanics, imo. You can't target or damage the foundation if it's underground and that is certainly abusing building mechanics.
How can you move only your purifying fortress? My house and fortress are both inside my territory but they are separated structure, can i move only my fortress somewhere in my territory land without moving the whole territory?
Use the 'Save Single Building' feature in House Blueprint to save a building within your territory, allowing you to relocate it freely anywhere inside your base.
I have a feeling that the crevice in between is a major weakpoint to this, making it all the more pointless if that spot can't be covered. Just my two cents.
Anyone still problem with the first version of Steel Riffle Turret not firing? I put 5 of them with fully power, when I first login they are firing to nothing but when I start purifying they are just dumb Useless thing even if the monster already infront of them in decent range. Or do the Tungsten Riffle Turret is the working one?
Careful though, hidding base foundation under may consider as expliot. You could get people banned. Even though it is the game fraud but they did announce the "Fair Play" thing so be careful.
We've been playing 'fair' since the floating foundation era, and I've using the same account since the day one. Don’t feel pressured to follow suit. Just don't try it instead.
@@fishermiller Well I just pointed it out, I mean ive seen a lot of people cried when they got report over the floating base now a day. So do it or not its entirely up to players. I'm not calling it cheat or not cheat just trying to point out what may (or may not) happened when people do it thats all.
hello , i really love your content and tutorials! this is cool . anyway can you do tutorial for diagonal wall house exterior tutorial ? it's the one with roof things
Stacking structures has its weakness, that is, when the foundation that supports multiple stacked layers is destroyed, the entire stack can collapse. However, you can prevent this by concealing the stacks with another wall to make your base appear ordinary. Raiders will think they're attacking a regular base, but when they destroy one wall, they'll be surprised to find another wall behind it.
Here’s where the trick comes in: lower your camera slightly until it no longer snaps, allowing you to align the base structure with the existing one to stack the walls properly.
I agree, but other players may have designs that differ from this one. They could conceal the stacked walls, making it appear as if it's just a normal base.
Agree that it's not, as it's still using legitimate placement allowed by the developers. If they didn't allow this, or will not allow this, they would adjust the building mechanics in their updates.
congrat dude, your strat has been proven to be effective. Someone posted a video absolutely malding about it. th-cam.com/video/-GpVJo9svAk/w-d-xo.html You just earned yourself a sub.
Only thing that it lacks is a series of turrets, the nutcracker deviants placement seems appear ineffective, some are also dormant, leaving the base highly exposed and also without any teammates for support.
There is a huge flaw in your build and Im sorry but ur design is a scam lol. In reality its only 1-2 walls of defence at best. No matter how many "walls" you stack if its possible to hit the core wall the rest of the stacked walls will get destroyed. By throwing explosives/shooting between the corners of the hexagon shaped base its possible to HIT THE CORE WALL, once its destroyed the rest of the walls will just go poof. Since its not possible to cover the sides of the layered walls this build is techinically useless. * I have personally tested it out myself on a enemy in my server and easily raided him 🧠

In theory u can hide foundation using same method by lowering wall position so it cower it
