Community, the Swarm, and most of everyone associated with vedal, voted for vedal mostly because he's just that good at tech, vs hololive fans who voted for dooby mostly because they loved her.
I was a bit shocked at first because I thought The Swarm would ensure Cerber had locked that up, then I remembered Arielle regularly interacts with VShojo and she probably got many of the Ironmouse voters, as well as the Chibidoki & friends viewers. Much bigger uphill battle than I thought at first, but I'm glad Cerber still seems upbeat and happy to have been nominated!

I think a lot of Holos voted for her since she advertised that she had helped a holo talent with something. And Hololive pretty much won everything they touched due to their enormous fanbase.

Honestly that was one of those categories where it was really hard for me to cast a vote on, all of the nominees were amazing and deserved to win. I'm just happy that both Peo and Cerber have fantastic fanbases that were there and supported them all the way through.
tbh the Swarm dont exactly Swarm around together. We more like different clusters connected to one main streamer Neuro. Separated across the internet doing our own thing. Only a small part was voting for the Vedalverse, the rest either dont get involved or vote for others.
The most disencouraging about this is that Hololive obviously doesn't give a rat's ass about the award show and couldn't even be bothered to allow their talents to attend. Why are Hololive fans even voting when it is obvious at this point that their favorites won't even be there to receive their awards? It's lame for the audience, humiliating for the award staff, and gives off the impression that Hololive talents think they are above the rest of the community (which is not the case of course, blame the management). The award show should just exclude Hololive talents from their votes next year, honestly. Hololive made it very clear that they want nothing to do with the event, so why should the Vtuber awards put up with that? They tried to bring the community together and Hololive said no. Shame, but not their fault.
If you want to grow as an event, be the most popular and the most valuable, you definitely need to include everyone... even if it hurts. It's also a great platform to showcase talents to the Hololive audience if they watch it. We all know that when you get tired of Hololive's restrictions, you start looking for indie VTubers who are less monotonous.

Which is exactly why I think the Hololive management put up those restrictions. They are greedy, they don't want the award show to get any attention because it might lead to fans being made aware of how awesome and diverse the rest of the Vtubing community is. They see the award show and the talents within as competition.

Few too many people don’t seem to get that being nominated for the award in the first place is already a big deal, it means you stood out from the crowd to begin with. The final winner from there is just icing. Rising Star (and a few other categories) were stacked with a bunch of great people who all deserved it, so don’t diminish the entire thing by acting like a sniveling toddler because your preferred streamer didn’t ultimately win the vote after already winning the nomination.
i think they should be more strict about which vtubers should be in the categories that are supposed to be about up and comers and obscure but good streamers instead of having already popular people in them
