I find the Chroma Key green screen option now far less effective than it used to be, in fact today simply cannot get a decent effect at all...trying alternative editing software now instead ;(

It should be still there, make sure you have good lighting

Can you create a green screen video without using a green screen? Such as using an existing video that you want to remove to background.

Not in movie edit pro, you would need to use Adobe after effect

Great tutorial. Whenever I try this technique and use zoom to decrease the size of my green screen video, I can't remove the square image surrounding it. Any advice on how to get rid of it

Try to tweek the chroma key settings to get rid of the border, also try with a different video clip to see if it is working correctly on another video clip, also setup good lighting for your green screen videos
