was just looking it up thank you a lot
I was thinking of buying one but can't decide between the acryl and the aluminum one. I planned to just hang it up in my Room and I don't wanna pay too much and end up with a small one

@@gost_bappo3043 Glad the review could help! By the aluminium one, are you talking about the 'direct print on brushed aluminium' or the 'hd metal print'? If you're looking for a cost-effective option that in no way sacrifices quality, I would highly recommend the HD metal print. It's priced well, and I think the result is fantastic.
If you're really looking for the least expensive option for the mounting style and it's only for personal use, I would likely suggest the 'direct print on aluminium dibond', although I can't personally speak to the results because it did not come in the set. Depending on where you are based, there may also be other suppliers that can provide a better price for dye sublimation prints.
What size are you looking to print?

@@henri-julien At first I wanted to get the ultraHD Photo Print Under Acrylic Glass but the price kinda scared me off because I wanna have it in 60cm x 70cm and I just want to hang it up in my bedroom for myself so I thought about the ultraHD Photo Print On Aluminium Dibond. And now idk, they don't really or tell me the difference between ultraHD and HD. Wanted to have it a bit glossy cause it's a album cover and I like seeing it in a high quality print with reflection in it without paying over 180 Euro. And I am located in Germany
so right now I'm thinking a bit to get the "Photo Print On Aluminium Backing"
      Thanks for responding

    Happy New Year 2024🎉🎉
Thank you for making this most informative video... 👏 so helpful ! Huge fan of the matt acrylic and the metal thermal sublimation... stunning - each has its pros and cons ,I can pick what would look best for each of my photos, both great options dependent on the image.
Great news is ... all the metal prints offer aluminium box frames, which gives the extra depth and classy expensive look and weight
    THANKS again for this video

Excellent video, as a non photographer having to chose among multiple options without any background is incredibly difficult, this helped a lot!

Such a nice review of this company’s options. I’m going to spend the extra it takes to buy something from Whitewall for my most prized photos. Thank you!

    Nice vid👌
Hd metal printing sounds interesting.I think it's a nice way to make some poster(s) that will last longer than conventional one. Im going to try it since I have a heatpress and sublimation printer.
    New subs here😁

Great explanation of the differences (pros & cons) of each media. I am in the process of purchasing some large and rather expensive prints for the first time, and this was exactly what I needed to help understand and ensure that I am making the correct choice for my order. Thank you!
Question: Is the glare of the HD Metal Glossy extreme (like the acrylic), and is it capable of being placed near a window without too much reflection or glare?

    • @henri-julien
      @henri-julien  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

I find that the glare strength on the HD Metal and photo print under acrylic glass to be comparable. However, I personally find the quality of the glare to be more pleasant in the HD Metal. There's something about it that feels a little more gentle, diffuse and integrated (although to my eye the luminance is very similar). I have an HD metal print that I have placed between two windows, and I find that the glare does not bother me.
The important part would be making sure that the optimal viewing angles do not reflect directly into a light source. I hope this helps!
Apologies for the late response! I didn't get a notification.

Very helpful review thanks - currently trying to decide on which option to pick for a large print on their website. Reckon I'll go for the acrylic non matt glass option.

Great video, super helpful thanks. I have just got back from Kenya and I have a couple of black and white images of elephants which I would like to print and display in a frame at home. Which of the papers/frame types would you recommend for a black and white fine art print? it is going to be hung in a very modern kitchen which is predominantly black and white. The image is quite high contrast with sunlight, reflecting of the elephant tusks.

I honestly don't think you can wrong with any of the high-quality acrylic options or the hd metal print (I've printed both styles for myself and clients and have been pleased every time). The photo print on aluminum backing will also have a nice aesthetic (and may be less expensive), but I personally would be worried about having the photographic paper directly exposed.
For the kitchen you've described, I would personally go with the metal print - but ultimately I'm sure you'll come to the choice that's right for you!

Idk why they wouldn’t use the same image for each print… the whole point of the set is for comparison

I completely agree! It honestly made the choice all the more difficult. I hope this video helped a little!
