    I tried a very very easy two ingredient cleansing balm after my friend tried it and been loving it lately!! It's just 20% emulsifying wax and 80% mineral oil and it does the job! I have fungal acne so am limited with the type of oils I can use but this is lovely, it does thicken and melts easily like coconut oil consistency. Will try adding some clay next and perhaps wee bit of Cetyl Alcohol for the feel! Thankyou Marie, you inspire me to not only DIY cosmetics for myself but take an interest into learning about ingredients which has saved my skin!!

      @cosmic_lotus_eater How do you use the 20 e-wax 80 min oil balm? Do you use it as the only cleasner, ie instead of soap ... or to remove makeup beforehand, etc? I know that min oil is non-comedogenic. However, does it leave an oily or slippery cream feeling on your skin? Would love to know more and why you love it.

    • @cosmic_lotus_eater

      @@Skylightatdusk I use it as like Normal cleansing balm to remove makeup n sunscreen and then follow up with a foaming cleanser.
      It leaves a very slight residue but nothing the face wash can't remove.

    Personally, I liked the original cleansing amount. I've got mostly normal skin, oily on the nose/chin, but none of the dry areas found in typical combination skin. I also don't wear makeup, so I don't feel the need to double cleanse; I want the balm to be cleansing enough to fully clean my skin and reduce sebaceous filaments, not just break up makeup and leave the rest to a foaming cleanser. I can see where someone with dry skin or a double cleanse routine would want something less cleansing.

    • @dennisroelandts215
      @dennisroelandts215 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi did you end up fixing that by remelting? I made it today and had the same problem. I came on here to see if it was just me. I did add a tiny bit of glyceryn though to incorperate my extract so im not sure if thats the problem.

    • @ItsOnlyBannor
      @ItsOnlyBannor 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@dennisroelandts215 I added 2% of glucoside so I thought maybe it was because of that. I did reformulate and brought it down to 1% and the oil did not settle at the sides or top. Maybe cut the amount of glycerine. I think because its an anhydrous product by adding glycerine (water soluble) or coco glucoside (water soluble) that'll happen
