100% agree on the Kershaw situation. I'm happy seeing all these signings but what I really want is Kershaw re-signing.
He won’t til after 2025
agreed
they'll sign CK once the experiment to make him 2011 kershaw every year for 5 years concludes.
He ain't coming back.
Whether Clayton Edward Kershaw chooses to stay in L.A. or he signs with the TEXAS RANGERS, there’s no guarantee he will pitch in 2024. 🤔 ⚾️⚾️⚾️
ROGER, The LOS ANGELES DODGER
I don't care if they win the world series. I just want to see good games of baseball with teams that are trying to win and do their best. Half the season are games played by teams that were already dead after 10 games played.
Dodgers are going insane!!
Honestly, late-career Clayton Kershaw is surprisingly underrated. The guy is 35 years old and no one has talked about him for a solid five years, and yet he's *still* putting up a 2.50 ERA every year.
100%… People act like he’s washed when his numbers have been great
The narrative needs to change; he’s a great pitcher who can’t handle a heavy workload… He breaks down near the end of seasons (which has been getting worse as the years go on) and it culminates in playoff Kershaw
Note how during the shortened season where his workload was naturally cut, he pitched great in the postseason… I think the Dodgers need to manage him better; he could thrive in the old Mitch White spot starter/reliever role to hopefully keep his innings around 60-80 for the year barring injury… He’s not a workhorse ace anymore but he’s still very good
I think him coming in for half a season is going to be huge for him being fresh for the post season.
YES!!!
0.1 IP and 6 ER is NOT UNDERRATED!!!
Not doubt he’s a great pitcher, but take him off the postseason roster. He has a long and illustrious history of choking, culminating in that disastrous start against Arizona last year where he gave up 5 runs before recording an out.
Allowing teams to have basically unlimited payrolls and buy their way to championships is absolutely bad for baseball long-term. There's a good reason that non of the other professional sports leagues in the US run this way.
Only going to come up short.
2011 Heat all over again
Yeah they’ll lose in the nlds.
AKA win the World Series.
Don’t worry guys MLB and all the network and league schills say this is good for baseball! So it has to be true!
Obviously it would be great to get a ring or two, they have to get AT LEAST one for Ohtani….but for me as a fan, I’m just pumped I get to watch this team every night regardless of what happens in October.
As far as the haters, it’s to be expected…I would be super jealous too if I was rooting for anyone else.
Coming from a Rockies fan, that joke in the beginning was too funny
Same
As a fellow Red Sox fan, I’m in so much pain. At least I have fond memories to look back on
I'm a Yankees fan and even I'm perplexed by the lack of moves by the Red Sox.
@@LadyJay114 it’s called greedy ownership. Due to the lack of cap, many owners care more about the bottom line and getting the most out of imputing the least over winning. Believe me, as a mariner fan, we have been dealing with this for years
@@Michael-uu7zqof course that’s what owners care about the money the most. If you were an owner, you would care about that too.
Whoa. A positive dodgers video by italk studios. Must be in a alternate universe lol
2 Tommy John’s in 3 season I don’t think he will be the same.
Im gonna miss Teo 😢 i hope he pops off this season
As a dodgers fan it feels nice seeing this kind of offseason in a way it’s like all those times over paying for drinks, food, and etc it’s like getting rewarded in a way.
Wait till you see the prices this year.
How much is the left and right field Pavillion? When I left L.A. in 2005 it was $6 best deal in town for entertainment.
@@charlesfragoso3932 lowest $45-$60 in series against teams like the Rockies, can go up to $140-$160 on more anticipated series. They removed all you can eat right pavillion deal due to HR seats added which are around $200-$350+ for those HR seats. I like sitting in the lodge section, those tickets go for $150-$200 on average depending on the series they can drop to $100-$115
You thought the prices were steep before? You aint seen nothing yet....
Well the thing at 4:00 is why a lot of people hate the Dodgers now, not just that their team isn't spending. They just take players that would be good fits for one year deals for smaller teams, either to build up a contender or use as trade bait for prospects, and take them away for larger sums of money because they can. This is the reason everyone hated the 2000's Yankees. Those teams didn't even win it all, but they tried desperately to buy championships while destabilizing the competitive balance of baseball by signing all the big names. The Dodgers taking Teoscar just to take him off the market makes me want to say "F-U" to the dodgers even more. This is how the "evil empires" are born.
Moving Mookie to the infield will save wear and tear. thats how i see it. not too sure how long he's signed up with the Dodgers, but I would want him healthy
Mookie signed to play in his age 39 season in 2032. Shohei 38 in 2033. Long term goals.
They 100% choking
The Dodgers took the 2023 Postseason loss personally
My anger is towards the teams who actually need guys like Teo I don’t hate the dodgers for spending money I hate the dodgers bc they’re the dodgers I just wish the off-season wouldn’t be so one-sided it’s more entertaining when there’s a lot of teams being active
They have more money than any other team and a revenue stream to match, it’s not impressive to be rich
that’s what’s making kinda boring in a way. I’m a dodger fan and love our offseason. Not to act like i have an ego or anything but c’mon i want some comp and every1 else isn’t doing anything sitting on their couch watching netflix, is what it feels like.
@@aaronrhodes7268 Stop this tired and false narrative. The Yankees, Mets, and Giants all offered similar or identical contracts for Yamamoto/Ohtani. The Dodgers aren’t the only team with money. They are just the only rich team that has consistent success (in the regular season, at least 😢).
The Padres gave huge contracts to Tatis, Machado, and Bogaerts. The Mets signed Scherzer and Verlander to record AAV contracts in back-to-back seasons. The Yankees signed Gerrit Cole, Aaron Judge, and Carlos Rodón in the span of three years. The Rangers signed Corey Seager and Marcus Semien in the same offseason, and then added Jacob deGrom a year later.
Let’s not pretend the Dodgers are the only team with money.
@@jimharper2180 every player they want they pull the trigger on this offseason. Period. No room for argument on that and that’s what I’m talking about . 23-24 offseason
@@hennybreenssports9388 I wasn’t replying to you. I was responding to the person who suggested that no other team has the money that the Dodgers possess, which is just not true.
Definition of WS or bust
So why was there so much negativity for the New York Mets when they gave out all these big contracts. But now that the Dodgers are giving out all these contracts, everyone likes it.
My take is there needs to be a minimum and maximum salary cap in baseball.
No maximum, minimum would be nice though. Would force these scumbag owners to actually invest in their team.
Even though losing will be disappointing, i think no one can really talk bad about the front office not trying
I’ve been a dodger for a wile now and I’m glad that they are the center of attention rn but I just hope that they don’t turn out like the 2023 padres
You mean 2020-2023 padres
🤔 😲😳😬 🤣😂🤣 What can Brown do for you, San Diego ? Yeah, apparently not much, at least in 2023. 😉 ⚾️⚾️⚾️
ROGER, The LOS ANGELES DODGER
@@rogerkinard7446 hey it’s an actual serious matter team spends a lot in an off-season then is completely underwhelming the following season. However the dodgers are just so well run as a team there’s some reassurance.
They lacked starting pitching in the playoffs. They won’t have that problem going forward.
If the Dodgers lose in the postseason now I don't know what I'll do.
They will don’t worry
I hear you brother. LGD
2011 Miami Heat 2.0
Been there, done that. In the meantime, I will gloat.
Just wait for 2025 I guess. That’s all we can do.
As a red sox fan i now hate the dodgers. This has to stop.
This team better go 162-0 with all these players they are signing, and they better win a world series
They will win 106+ games have multiple MVP and Cy Young front runners, or even winners, but will inevitably lose in the NLDS
no if they're going in this hard, they need to win 5/10 world series over the next decade.
I hope they get 0 ws
That's unlikely because some team might go off and hit like 5+ homers stuff like that.
@@rainbowhouse3427 but you get what im saying tho, this team has got to perform well
How bout bringing a salary cap like hockey? Except the cap is 2x more than nhl
The biggest problem is teams that wanted to spend went crazy last offseason and some of the big market teams just don't want to spend. The Padres, Mets, Rangers, and Phillies all spent a crap ton of money last year. Some of it worked some of it didn't. Now the Padres and Rangers have payroll issues and Phillies and Mets are standing pat. Can't blame the Phil's since they brought back Nola and the Mets still have a massive payroll. This would be the point where other big market teams like the Cubs, Red Sox, and Giants who haven't been in contention would step in and start spending. But they don't seem interested, so the Dodgers are the only team with money to spend so they can just sign everyone.
You forget how most teams are in a losing culture too
Ohtani should be arrested for deferring his pay. He and the Dodgers are making a mockery of 2024.
I never wanna hear about Bobby bonilla day ever again
Mookie should touch the ball more often playing 2B which is a good thing. Having a guy with OF range playing 2B is almost a cheat code.
Then comes playoff time and he forgets how to hit.
As their is a report that the dodgers are about to sign Godzilla to a 3 year 500 million dollar contract
Matsui is coming out of retirement? Lol
@@11cost1 lol
I don't hate the dodgers for spending money but other teams not doing the same is also a stretch, lots of teams made the jump to get the high stakes players. I'm just going to use Ohtani as an example. The jays and giants from what I know practically offered the same contract but who wins... the dodgers. So yeah the dodgers piss me off for that but that's just me and it is true that many other teams do need to step up, care and ya know stop selling talent or not pursuing free agents. I may have some facts wrong im just stating an opinion so let me know if im missing something ✌
I think the anger stems from the fact that the dodgers have spent more than some franchises are worth. I think that’s the real issue.
Fans thought the Yankees in the past was bad
I'm not mad at the Dodgers. I'm mad at the system
@@sirwill619 that falls down to the owners buddy, and there sure wasn’t no issue before this it’s just cool to hate on the dodgers rn hop on the wagon
Dodgers have the highest fan attendance in baseball.. they have money because people support them. Maybe the small market teams need their fans to start showing up 🤷♂️
@@derekconstantino7759 They also have the largest seating capacity and play in the second largest city in the United States. As I have mentioned, they have the largest TV contract in baseball, which makes the difference between a poor team and a rich team
Very rarely do the big Winter Winners sizzle in the Summer…
Let’s just give all the goddamn free agents to the LA Dodgers and call it an off-season good effing job, Blue Jays!
The Dodgers are forcing other teams to overpay to get him. I can't blame the Jays for not doing that. The dodgers dangle their big money and that inflates the market. Most cheap ass owners aren't going to step up and what are fans left with?
The jays might have dodged a bullet by not signing Ohtani. Wonky elbow, injured for the last month of the season. It's a good thing the Dodgers deferred
@JordanC2004. Poor KevinGohD!
@@Rayrard Dude, the Dodgers in most csaes HAVE to offer more money to compensate for the state taxes. And it also happens the other way around, it's been like that for years, GM's inflate the market for players they know they won't sign
The dodgers out here looking like the 49ers roster this year
Im a rockies fan and your not joking ur pretty spot on 😂
Baseball needs salary caps and minimums like real hard minimums the cbt is not enough to punish teams that do dodger stuff
I don’t give a fuck no 60 game seasons or no spider tack being legal coming up so they will just choke
As a Dodgers fan, if we can’t win at least 2 championships during those 10 years, there really is no hope at all for us
RIP to the SF Giants… we’ll be in the basement for a decade now
Yall have 3 recent chips boo hoo - dbacks fan
As a Dodger fan trust me: The Dodgers would kill for 3 in 5.
I'm gonna be smiling so big when I see the Dodgers not only not make it to the world series, but not even win the division somehow. Yes I'm a hater I know, get over it.
Dodgers aren’t building a super team. They ARE a super team
Super teams win
@@NightFall1441if by win you mean first round exit than that’s correct(2001 mariners)
In my opinion I think they have to become a dynasty like win three or four back to back
People already make fun of the Dodgers, they’re ruthless in fact. It can’t get much worse.
Salary cap and floor are needed. Won't happen but it's needed.
Said this perfectly
And somehow they're still going to fall on their faces in october
Guess the whole "Dave Roberts just screwed the Dodgers signing Ohtani" video didn't work out
I remember when it was the Yankees backing up all the brinks trucks
When they start to win world series in a full season (once since 1988) or at least appear in them on a regular basis, then we can start to cry that what they are doing is unfair. They still have to win it on he field after all this.
Dodgers are building the most scary team
Just to lose to whoever finishes 2nd in the west
Yeah everybody said that about the Mets last off-season. Look how that turned out. These "super teams" never work out. I guarantee you it's gonna be nothing but players butting heads all season. And they won't make it past the divisional round.
Just for the regular season.
Oh I can already see all the excuses for when they don’t win
Dodgers better do sicko mode this season
This guy clearly doesn't know what the Dodgers need lol. Our lineup is top heavy with lefty bats, and there was no way CT3 was going to be the everyday outfielder. Teoscar Hernández is the power right bat that mashes LHP and can hold his own with RHP. An RBI machine and has above average defense. He's the Dodgers' Adolis Garcia. Under Mark Prior, you'll see his plate discipline/strikeout rate improve. They got their guy and only had to commit for 1 season while he gets to bet on himself and have a comeback year to earn that big bag multi-year contract in 2025. WINNING doesn't hurt either lol. He's the perfect fit, a no-brainer deal for both sides. All's fair in love and war 💙💪🏽
I think Bauer should join up. What a rotation and besides, the dodgers have to pay anyways. Best 7-9th inning pitcher ever if they let him be him. Bauer the tower
Now if Steve cohen would had done this it would had been a problem
He did it last year.
Dodgers are basically in win now mode which they have been for years
Where the retooling of the Dodgers will get salty is when they start trading away fan favorites (Taylor is the subject of some hot stove rumors) or put existing players at ill-fitting positions (Muncy is not a third baseman) to make room for star additions who have never played together before.
You know what's absolutely GUARANTEED for the Dodgers after ten years?
Lots of dead money on the books. Untradeable expensive players whose viable days as Major Leaguers is in the recent past.
Of course, if the Dodgers can make two or three World Series appearances in that time (let's not go nuts and say championships) I'm sure it will be considered a success.
They continue to find new ways to make me hate them.
Love or hate th Dodgers, cant deny they are a must see tv with the new rotation and new lineup. Who wouldn't want to see Yamamoto pitch, Ohtani hit. The rest like Freeman, Betts, Hernandez, Glasnow is just a bonus. Worst of all, they aren't done yet. Still in thr market for hader? That would truly be insane
Baseball is dead anyways LOL football is king
@@Therealtre dead to you. Apparently not with insane amount of contracts in the last few years
@@Therealtrefootball is overrated. Go watch your anthem kneelers.
@@TruthPrevails89 no it’s not sorry no one watches boring baseball anymore we don’t wanna be put to sleep we wanna be entertained
At this point I hope the Dodgers sign every good player. Maybe it will inspire the other front offices in the league to actually try.
As long as they get a big cut of profits they won't
Competitive balance..... who needs that, amiright?
Honestly if it gets any more ridiculous (like say signing burrer) then even winning a world series would be seen as a let down, they would need to sweep the payoffs and break the win record in order to live up to there own hype.
They gotta win atleast 4 World Series to be a success
All that happened this offseason is the Dodgers firmly placed themselves as the number two most hated franchise after the Astros, and that's saying something because the Yankees exist. Any player signing with them immediately takes a massive popularity nosedive.
I think fans are projecting bc they wish their teams ownership would spend and invest in the product on the field like the Dodgers have
Lmfao hot dogs at Dodgers games about to be $79
I feel bad for the fans. Expensive tickets, parking, souvenirs, food. Highest taxes in the country. Baseball is ruined with crazy high contracts.
Dodgers took the division loss personal
Lineup wise, the Dodgers team that came back on is 3-1 and even the one that we beat that had Betts, Trea, Seager, and Bellinger is tougher than Betts, Freeman, and Ohtani as unbelievable as that sounds. It’s been two years but this year, we’ll get to see the ATL vs LA matchup in the CS….the only issue with the Braves is that they seem to lack the gritty mentality, they’re capable of playing and winning any way but losing to a lesser team no matter how scrappy they are is eye opening. The Dodgers may be the second best team in all of baseball (or Texas).
I love the Rockies hate🤣!!!! Dick Monfort is a fu*king joke and needs to sell so I can actually buy season tickets again. Dick said last year, "We have put together a .500 team and the fans should be happy about that". This is coming from a lifelong fan who got to see the first game at mile high in 93.
It would be extremely funny if the As sweep the Dodgers when they play each other
Batman needs to stop the Dodgers.
Exactly what I said.... But... the dodger fans got pretty mad calling me a hater and have no knowledge of baseball. Which is funny. But cheers to sharing the same view point. I guess we are both haters.
That Teoscar Hernandez video couldn't have been timed better lol. @iTallStudios did you take it down?
No salary cap is killing MLB!!!!!

Finally, a Dominican player!
gonna be the funniest shit ever if the dodgers dont win the ws next year
Deferring all that money on Ohtani to skirt the luxury tax is cheating. It’s a president that will hurt baseball in the long run.
Can people decide whether they are ruining baseball or if an 88 win team is gonna knock them out. Pick one narrative 😂😂
The Royals are 2nd in off-season spending
Dodgers needed a right-handed bat and a lefty masher to balance out the lineup. We definitely needed Teoscar
To think the Dodgers are the only team to do this, come on Man!
Just happy right now but still the playoffs stills scared me
Damn would've been nice to have Hernandez over @ Boston this year....or somebody....😮
Teoscar is a 2017 Astro
What the dodgers are doing is exactly why we need a salary cap. We need a floor and a ceiling. If it can work in Football and Hockey in can work for MLB. Setting a floor should be the first thing they do, to force teams to spend all that money they profit from TV money.
This is exactly what the Yankees used to do, and the expectations were the same then as now also.
I'm angry at my team, the braves, for being very lousy this off-season in free agency compared to the dodgers

The best thing about being a dodger fan is having the piece of mind that you know the owners and managers truly want to win as much as anybody else.
True. Even if they don't win, at least you know they're trying. Can say the same for my Rangers too. Although they've been pretty quiet this off season. Oh well, can't complain too much with them being the defending World Series champions.

As a Mets fan, the Mets proved you can’t buy a winning team, you have to develop it. I don’t think the Dodgers are going to be as crazy good the hype seems to suggest. Of course, this comment could end up aging horribly by October, but, this kind of strategy isn’t as effective as you’d think.
