    Very detailed and informative review. Rastar really makes detailed RC Ferraris! My aunt recently gifted me a Rastar RC LaFerrari, and I'm extremely satisfied with it. These RC cars are also like model cars, except they're made from plastic.
    The only complain I have so far with it is that it does not come with a rechargeable battery, which means I'll have the need to change the double-A cells every now and then, which is more expensive in the long run, and is also inconvenient.

    • @BlackSeaRC
      @BlackSeaRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is great to get your comments. I agree, Rastar cars are very detailed and this means that you can use them as display models when not using them as RC cars. This Ferrari is particularly nice with its opening doors and racing graphics. The detail on the exterior and interior is some of the best I have seen on a 1:14 scale car.
      As for the batteries, some models are starting to get USB chargers and a small NiMH or LiPo battery pack. This is ideal and very convenient. Using rechargeable AA type batteries is an option in these cars but I calculated the extra cost of the batteries plus the charger and decided to use standard AA batteries for now. If you use your RC car a lot or have lots of models then the investment in rechargeable batteries will be worth it. My Range Rover Sport model has a rechargeable battery pack and so do my "hobby grade" RC vehicles such as the ROC Hobby Katana and Partner Racing QX-4.
      Please also check my other Rastar RC videos. If you like the Ferrari, you are sure to like the McLaren and Lamborghini too. The Mercedes-AMG G63 is one of my personal favourites and I have new models joining my collection all the time. Best wishes from BlackSeaRC!

      Thanks for watching. I conducted a short indoor test and already see that this Ferrari has lots of performance potential but it definitely is not a model for testing in confined indoor spaces! But since all my RC cars are bought to be used and not just to be display models, I will be making a testing video when I find a suitably smooth, flat and dry test track. By the way, I will also be reviewing another interesting 1:14 scale RC race car in the near future. Hope to see you back soon!

    • @BlackSeaRC
      @BlackSeaRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You are right and that is why this brand is very popular as it combines good quality with a reasonable price. These Rastar 1:14 scale RC cars can easily be used as display models due to the high level of detail. If there is a downside to this, if you are looking for the highest levels of performance then these cars may disappoint. But for most people the scale realism is more important than getting the best performance.

    • @BlackSeaRC
      @BlackSeaRC  ปีที่แล้ว

      The maximum speed is around 8-10kph for the 1:14 scale RC cars which is plenty if you are driving indoors. If you have a nice flat area outside, then that is the best way to drive. Most Rastar models perform the same as they have common driveline and electronics. If you check my Ferrari 599 GTO and Maserati Levante videos, you can see them operating. The Maserati is shown driving on rough terrain as well as it is a SUV. Links here for your reference:

    Do you face any delay when you stop the car and immediately make it go in reverse? Mine takes like a second or two, after it stops, to go into reverse immediately.

    • @BlackSeaRC
      @BlackSeaRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you press the forwards button and then immediately press the reverse button, it should react right away. Of course, I would only do this on a surface that offers some slip for the tyres or else you will risk damaging the driveline. If you have a delay, maybe you need to change the batteries. Does it make any noise as if there are crunching gears? Mine is totally quiet.

    • @AbdullahBasit24
      @AbdullahBasit24 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BlackSeaRC No, mine doesn't make any type of crunchy gear noises. All I hear the normal sound of motor when I ride it, but turning the tyres do make a small noise. The thing is, when I ride it on a slippery surface - it takes like 1 second to go into reverse as soon as it stops. And from what I've seen on TH-cam, the car should immediately stop and go into reverse.

      @@hwroadbeasts Some people think RC cars are for children but I'd say that a high percentage of buyers are adults. Anyway, this is a hobby that people of all ages can enjoy. Plus, when you see the prices you know that a lot of the products are not aimed at children (I recently saw a RC truck for over 5000 EUR). I appreciate your problem with finding a shop that sells a good range of RC cars though. There are some great shops around but if you don't live near to one of them then buying online is often your only choice and this can be expensive because these models are not so easy to post. I have quite a large collection of RC vehicles now and tend to buy off-road capable models. This is because they are much more versatile and there are far more places where you can use them (e.g. mountains, beach, over rocks, by rivers, etc). Road cars tend to need a really smooth area and plenty of space to run them. I didn't try a drift car yet, do you reckon I should add one to my collection?
      Your new project sounds interesting and I'm sure it will be a lot of fun making it. I have ideas for so many projects too, it's just having the time to do them all. Keep RC'ing my friend!

    How long does it last for before the battery dies

    • @BlackSeaRC
      @BlackSeaRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's a good question and it is hard to give an accurate answer! That is because there is quite a variety of different AA battery types. Furthermore, it depends on the type of use. If you are running indoors on a hard surface, there is usually not so much space to keep the throttle applied so often the car is free-wheeling. Outdoors, you can keep the throttle applied constantly and also the surface will likely provide a bit more drag and therefore the batteries will drain much quicker. If you get the cheapest batteries you can find, then you might only get 5-10 minutes of run time before the car starts slowing down. In the video I used non-rechargeable batteries (Duracell) because I considered that the cost of rechargeable batteries plus a charger would be quite a bit more than buying a good quantity of non-rechargeable batteries. But clearly, if you get a higher rated battery, the run time will be much better. I really need to get a new set of batteries and drive the car constantly until the batteries die to confirm for you but I should think that over 1 hour and maybe more is possible. Note that some RC models come with a rechargeable battery and USB charger already supplied so that is a better solution if you want to use the car more regularly.

    • @BlackSeaRC
      @BlackSeaRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello Noah, I'm not sure exactly what you are asking. The doors are an unusual "butterfly wing" design where part of the roof opens to allow the driver to get into the seat more easily. The central section of the roof remains fixed. Some Rastar models such as the BMW i8 have doors that open electrically by pressing a button on the RC handset but the doors on this model have to be opened manually.

      @BlackSeaRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello there and thanks for checking my video. I believe that the top speed is just over 8kph (around 5mph), so I wouldn't say that it is particularly fast. For indoor use it is okay and for outdoor use you need a really smooth and flat surface because of the low ground clearance. I suppose it depends what you are used to. This is a toy grade product and the Rastar product has similar performance to what you could expect to get from one of its competitors.

      Most of these Rastar cars and other similar RC models in this price range sound very similar. That is because they are running with cheap motors and plastic gears without any lubrication. @@charlesgonzalez3885 Yes, I have noticed that availability and cost varies significantly depending upon what country you are located in. As always, buying locally is best as shipping costs are always stupidly high. I also noticed that in the last year, prices of these RC cars have really risen quite a lot. I used to regularly buy these cars for under 2000 RUB but now the standard price is 3999 RUB. I always look for discounts because for me that is not a price I really want to pay for a product like this. However, in some European countries they can be even more expensive.
      If you are planning on getting two cars, make sure they operate on the 2.4GHz frequency to avoid potential frequency interference.
      There are a few cars around (including some newer Rastar models) that use rechargeable batteries and USB charging, but the price is higher. The other alternative is to use rechargeable 'AA' type batteries but you need to weigh up the additional cost of the batteries (typically 7 required in total) plus the charger itself against just buying standard disposable batteries.

      This Ferrari FXX-K Evo has got to be one of the most interesting models that Rastar has produced to date. The level of detail on the exterior and interior is very impressive, and all for a very reasonable price.

    With the price range, this Rastar RC is Insane detail !!, AutoArt gonna be a joke compared with this... (With the price range of course) 🤣

      The Ferrari FXX-K Evo is one of my favourite models as it has that extreme racing shape, lots of fine details on the exterior and interior, great graphics and opening doors. Really it has everything you could want. It is easy to see why these Rastar RC cars are so collectable. With regard to the price, they have increased in cost over the last year or so but it depends quite a bit on where you live and whether you can buy the models locally or if you have to buy online. Buying online is often the only option for many people but models like this come in big boxes and that can make the shipping expensive.

      This great Ferrari FXX-K Evo is also made in 1:24 scale by the same company, Rastar. If you want something slightly cheaper, then that could be a solution.

      That would give much better performance and run time. However, the RC system is still non-proportional so control might be tricky. I think a battery upgrade is best considered in association with an upgrade to hobby grade electronics. By the way, did you see my Rastar "reverse engineering" video of the Bugatti Divo? This shows the complete disassembly and is a good reference if considering an upgrade project on one of these types of RC cars.

    so u mean you do all this work by yourself

    • @BlackSeaRC
      @BlackSeaRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, BlackSeaRC is all my own work. All the RC models shown have been funded by myself and my collection continues to grow on a regular basis. All the videos are filmed, edited and compiled by myself. I do the research on new products, promoting and I personally answer all the comments. Of course, driving and filming at the same time is not the easiest task. I find that a pistol grip style handset is easier to use at the same time as filming than a stick or button style handset. By the way, as well as this channel, I also have a BlackSeaRC Facebook page and Twitter account for photos of all my models, news and updates. Search: @BlackSeaRC

      If you are interested in buying Rastar RC cars, I always recommend that you first look in your local toy shop. Buying locally will save the often expensive shipping costs and import taxes. Of course, if you don't have this option, check on the Internet. Amazon is often a good place to start looking.

      Which one is best? Ferrari, McLaren or Lamborghini? I am a Lamborghini fan but the Ferrari FXX-K Evo is the best supercar model so far.
