Pretty much this, the points you mentioned are the most important for this game to be successful in the long run. Give F2P players a reasonable way to grind the game to unlock the suits and level up the battle pass, having progress locked behind time gates is not the way to go and will push people away really quickly. Like you said, it should be a very easy fix and I hope Bandai Namco is listening if they truly care about the future of this game.
I think it's reasonable enough to log in and do your dailies every day, but I think it should give enough for 2 suits a season, assuming they release 2 new suits a season.

You didn't mention the biggest issue imo. THE CRASHING.
The game is crashing so often when trying to join matches, which are followed by temp bans. Loads of us are effectively locked out of the game.

@@EndersFPS lucky lol, they aren't that bad only a 5-10 second re-entering the game but man are they frequent. About 1 every 2 hours of playing. Not the biggest problem but should be fixed eventually

I only put alittle less than a hour into this game so far and for the first half everything was going fine. However after that I crashed 2 times, which I found sad because I was really enjoying the game. Once was the second half of a game and the second time was right out of character selection in the beginning. Inaddition to those crashes 2 of the 5 games I played had either a team mate crash or a enemy crash. This all being said I really do enjoy this game, so I hope those issues are fixed. Before anyone ask yes I have good internet and it was hardwired, I also checked to see if my ethernet had anyspikes or drops.
Now I have 3.5 hours and got my first 5 minute ban..... I found another big issue is ppl not connecting me included which explains the ban. I went on a streak of 7 people not connecting to the game.

I would love it if you made suit guides for this game similar to your BF weapon setup guides. I enjoy the game, but I feel like I'm underutilizing the characters most of the time.
One other thing that would be good as well is in practice you have access to all units cause I'mat a standstill to get either exia or unicorn being able to use them in the range would be nice

Personally I think they should be free as they have enough ways to get monetization from the game with skins and a battlepass along with a lootbox system(That doesn't need to be in the game)
Yep. As a f2p player it's a huge disadvantage not really knowing how the locked Gundams can play. Yes you can read about them but you don't know exactly how they play still.

It would be a shame if this game were to fail because of the monetization model. Hopefully the devs have some influence on making those necessary changes you spoke of. I don't play the game currently but would end up trying it if it were available in my friend's country.
As a GBO2 player (the game before this one) they will change how to win capital and win characters, as with the network issues, they actually listen to feedback.

I think not able to earn capital per game is alright, yes it is annoying but I'm not going to cry about it. What I think should be changed is that lower the second part of the battle pass where you get capital because jumping from BP lv.18 to 58 is a little too much.
Also, when the two new unit comes out, if they could make one of the unit free every other season that would be nice too.

If I am being honest, watching this game play of one of the premiums gundams really makes my gut reaction of the existence of p2w Gundams feel more valid. The stuff you're doing with that Gundam is insane and no free gundam has that utlitiy.
Paid suits are really goddamn powerful that it's not fun. Unicorn granting armor every 13 seconds makes diving strategies more difficult to do if your team doesnt have a Unicorn to match the enemy's...
Exactly the only true way to counter grouping of enemies and fast Mobile suits is marasai

If the evo coins actually have an expiration date in the US is there a way you can check when they'll expire?
it stated that it expire 120 days after obtaining it
The problems I see are
1. 120fps cap
2. The ways of earning capital points.
・Should be earned as rewards from matches as you mention.
・The "log in for x days" in the beginner challenge should be removed. And just update the challenge section every week like the weekly challenge.
This is a free to play game, so I understand the company's intention of not making it easy to get a lot of capital points, but it is too unbalanced.

In an event broadcast on the GunEvo jp youtube channel two days ago, Hogaki who is battle director dev apologized for the server instability and mentioned improving the rank system. And today on the GunEvo jp twitter account, it seems that they will announce the plan and date to improve the rank match/rating system in this week.

How are you able to have such firm and steady aim while being able to snap your cross hair 180 degrees in an instant?
You say you use 1600 dpi with a 33.5cm 360 but i've tried that. It's basically 40 sensitivity across all 4 sliders. Yet i have trouble aimining consistently.
Could it be your mouse itself being easy to control?

The game is fun actually. Theres just a lot of new players that cant pickup how to play faster than others. They also paid to fast track rank matches which ruins your gameplay. Hopefully in time they fix it.

all the in game matches are super one sided its not even fair anymore
my only major issue is the pricing for the stuff in the shop (for real money), everything else is a minor issue or simply inconvenient - such as the random disconnects probably due to crashes
I good idea I had with regards to the currency system, although I am not sure people would like this over capital gain from matches. The thought was a loot box given per level up like overwatch does it and capital from weekly and daily challenges so after a amount of time invested say 2 weeks or so you can unlock a new character.
Locking characters behind a pseudo-paywall is an easy way to get money but I don't believe its necessary when loot boxes exist. Idk we shall see how things advance.
My big problem is when my game crashes mid game and can't reconnect. The contact says I can but I couldn't.

I live in Europe couldn't find a ranked match in S1 and S2. I've realized that if you swap regions you might find a ranked game once in about 1.5 hours. This is crazy man.
when you finish the Beginner's Challenge ull have unough capital to get your first gundam, and if you reach lvl 18 in seasond battle pass you get another 1000
am i the only one that gets this issue but there is a bug that doesnt allow me to shoot and frames drop cause i use to play in max frame rate aka 120 but lately my frames been dropping to 70 fps and its been bugging me alot and sometimes frame rate drops even lower and goes to 30 or lower sometimes it didnt have this issue until they threw in evo coins
Drop all graphic settings to low and see if problem still persists. If so go to steam and verify your game files. Goodluck
Are you running windows 11 with the latest update 22h22? If so and you are running an nvidia card then you need to enable experimental features in Nvidia Experience. It will fix the problem.
The issue is still the same even if I lower it the fps is still the same I just change the resolution and it helped but idk why gundam evolution is like that I have been getting a bad impression I'm just trying to play my way through it feel like games going to go down cause of all the bad things that's been happening aka bugs
For the lack of servers, I think bandai will be in this for a bit more as they're planning to release another free-to-play game (Gundam Battle Operation 2) on PC, which will have their own server as it doesn't have cross-play. The network test for GBO2's PC version went horribly wrong since there're too many people logging in and the servers they prepared was no ready for the influx of players.

Some additional things I'd hope you would have covered. If your rank in the ranked mode is higher than your friends for instance you're gold and your friend is masters you can't play together in UNRANKED mode. Speaking of unranked mode there's no backfilling system in place so if someone leaves and doesn't come back you're down a player for the remainder of the match. Essentially there's ZERO difference between playing ranked and unranked besides having a ranking. They need to add backfilling and remove the leaver penalty for unranked play as well the walling of friends to play together in unranked based on their ranked level. Also, your placement game wins have a HEAVY influence on your rank. On reddit two friends had drastically different ranks because one of them had 2 more wins than the other and they had similar metrics (deaths, kills etc.).
Thats is a bug I dont know why people think this is a real thing. Im gold two and I have friends that are both level 20 unranked and level 1 that I play with and we queue fine
I agree they should get rid of the bs leave penalty for casual match keep it in ranked for people who cry if someone leaves. This is why I stopped playing halo infinite btb casually because I hate the leave penalty so much it pisses me off. It just makes me not want to play games as much which sucks :(.
i am on my way to getting my second premium gundam just buy f2p and i just play a few matches everyday finishing the beginner challengers puts you close enough to the battle pass's free 1k capitol its a chore and its a pain sometimes doing quests but i learned most of the suits in the game as well. if anything just balancing some of the suits is my biggest concern along with servers, stability and punishing quitters
Just heard they were shutting down the game in the november and im absolutely Livid about it. Can't have anything anymore.
My only complaints are the character balance. Seems like any time with Unicorn Gundam and Sazabi are on one team and not the other.. it’s almost a free win. That, and I was doing my ranked placements and had two teammates drop from the game two games in a row and no way to rejoin. I got placed in Silver, and figured it’d drop lower if I even bothered trying to rank higher due to the game’s balance. So, I’ll stay at Silver, I guess.
Sazabi is like a melee, and eats shit to the same units. The shotgun is op but the range gets in trouble vs Turn, RX7, Mahiroo, Marasai ect... he actually has a lot of counter play. Unicorn is op fair enough but a nerf to his armor ability is 100% coming down the pipeline. Once that gets a bit longer you will have a real window to punish him.
@@halofan6941647 I’m not saying they’re not counter-able. I’m saying they’re must picks in higher ranked games. There are about 3 more must play characters that all dunk on the 3 counters to Sazabi. I don’t care that some characters are better than others, I care that some are so good that you’re basically required to play them because the other team is, and that there are characters that will never be picked because they are so far behind everything else. Marasai, coincidentally being one of those characters since it’s one of the worst characters in the game.
@@Tero133 Yeah I feel in high elo pick or ban units suck but most players won't ever see that. How much that trickles down and how much success people find playing certain things at each elo remains to be parsed. I think that's the biggest wait and see. As the average player gets more skilled do we see the gap close or does it take an exceptionally team/pilot to make it shine. If a meta evolves does a counter meta come into play or is the meta like you said simply that much better then the rest. I think its early to call certain units busted but worth watching how they perform.
It’s definitely not helped by the fact that a lot of the paid mobile suits are very good. I bought unicorn because it’s my favorite Gundam so it’s justified in my book, but unicorn is potentially one of the strongest healers in the game, Exia is incredible hit and run, melee zaku is a good counter to barbatos who is also very good, and marasi is can force one of these great suits into a position where it’s more vulnerable. They are all good and I’m glad they are, but they need to be more accessible so that it doesn’t become pay to win, especially when new suits come out.
Sounds like a skill issue. Again someone else whining about something they don't have, so they don't like it because they're losing and now want to call it p2w over the internet because they're salty.

Idk why but the frame drops has been a really big issue for me and I never had this problem during the beta. Legit makes it unplayable even with low settings
not being able to unlock new characters in a reasonable amount of time is a turn off. also have no idea on the performance issues. i'm playing on an oc'd 8700k + rtx3080 at 1440p and fluctuate between 100-120 fps, sometimes dipping down to 40-50 (very rare but very noticeable when it happens). i think there is some room for some balance changes here and there, but for the most part character viability is pretty great. hoping they get these sorted soon because i really do want to keep playing and enjoying this game. hope someone sees this video and is able to communicate these points to the dev team 🙏

Just started the download, I always loved Gundam got a few model kits on my man cave lol.
I think the devs at Bandai Namco are going to imitate the Square Enix's approach on server expansion like when SE's Final Fantasy XIV expansion Endwalker was launched...
The players they received that time (especially during the World of Warcraft exodus) borked the login server. It was also the time they announced the Oceania (Australia) Server which they stated that will take time due to the chip shortages.
If Bandai Namco just decided to bit open on their roadmaps like their plans on server expansion and the reason why they can do it on a earlier time which will surely make some people frown, but at least they know that the company is doing something to roll out the game.
If they do that... I think this game might have a long life.
Though I prefer if they polish the game before releasing it to other countries... seeing that there are still minor issues

Missed something important with ranked. as of now, solo players that que into rank are placed against TEAMS OF 6. this alone kills any competitive aspect i once hoped this game would have. 6 stack sweat or don't que at all.

Yep, probably not even that long. Ranked already got fixed, and the FPS issue really isn't that big of a deal...The currency of Capital and the Green one may get fixed up abit.
What about gaining 50 capital every 5 levels? It's not a lot, but it would be consistent. I think there NEEDS to be 1) Level Up rewards and 2) Ranked Specific rewards, but they can't make the ranked rewards TOO good or it'll flood it with people that are ONLY in ranked for the rewards.
Just make it 50 capital per win and a max of 500 per day

I've been playing due to your recommendation. So far so good. Biggest issue is just trying to wrap my head around all the abilities and the meta in general. Never played Overwatch or anything similar so I'm a bit lost. Also...Barbatos OP? Destroys in about every game I play.
Yeah this type of game takes a while to get used to and yes, barbaros is still alitte op with his one shot combo

@@RustedSoup Dashing away isn't the best choice since Barbatos has more dashes than most suits. I recommend jumping and hovering since it'll have to jump or use the slam ability in order to hit you
Yep. I have about 40 hours into the game already and haven't unlocked a single Gundam yet. I can't purchase EVO coins because I am VPN';ing from Australia to Asia (80ms).
I had awful placement matches in ranked with leavers and just getting rolled hard and was put into 1500 ELO. Okay fine I will just climb out of it but nope, stupid amounts of wins are needed ontop of the fact I was vsing 3500 elo players too...
I really want to try out Unicorn Gundam but that might be a few weeks away..

Spot on. Almost everyone enjoys the gameplay but complains of these same issues. I'm hopeful that the devs get the feedback as it is an ubiquitous sentiment amongst the majority of the player base.
If capital can earn by playing any match which means if that happens people going to roll more on capital gacha instead of using tickets
Most content creators seem to be ignoring all these flaws for some reason. Maybe to be on Bandai Namco's good side. I think you're one of the few content creators doing the right thing and pointing out player concerns. This is a must if the game is to survive.

Yeah the game being limited to certain countries for now was a bad move imo. I just changed my steam region to US and voilà, I'm playing it since a few days. Ofc you have high pings but is a way to play if you are hyped to play the game.
There's a problem I wanted to bring up as well:
IT CONSUMES SO MUCH CPU RESOURCE!
My CPU Usage spikes to 95-98% when playing a match.
My idle/startup percentage is at 7-12% normally. I noticed this starting at Season 2. Back in Season 1, this problem didn't exist.
The devs may have done something to cause this.
I know, the ranking elo is completely broken lol, I don't know what they were thinking. For now I'm basically not taking losses too seriously
bruh, I tried playing this for the past 40 ish minuets and literally every match someone or sometimes I got dc'd. In my case for whatever reason the game would just crash and I have a really good PC so its not on my end. This is a really fun game when it works but currently as it stands right now its just unplayable

This game made me realize how i am gonna try out overatch 2, so at least it did something right.....cause this game is not going survive, the payed suits, the very little currency you "kinda" get, the forced daily login the forced daily quests you must do otherwise you are wasting your battlepass, the tons of cosmetics that are incredible ugly compared to the 0.1% of pretty decent looking ones, and ofc the disconnects, the ragequiters where you still have to finish the match or wait for the match to end to start a new match, all of these things make besides the very bland graphics (lets be honest, its just robots with gundam skin on them, they are not really the gundams we know and love) and meh level desing makes it just not fun. Makes me sad cause the first few hours were fine, until i realized how the system works.
by the time this game comes out in australia i will have forgotten about it :(

This reminds me a lot of the Battlefront 2 debacle of unlocking Darth Vader for example but somehow worse.

I'm one of the players who has performance issues... Sorta... There are games where I will be hard capped 120 fps and dips, then some games where its the same mode, same map, relatively the same gundams and my frames will be inconsistent and dip to below 100 at random points. Which is SUPER strange because like you said its UE4, my PC is highly optimized for FPS gains, in-game settings are all on low, and I have 2070 Super with all the parts youd think that would go with that, so I should be getting AT LEAST 150+ fps if uncapped. To note, this happens maybe 1 in every 5 games? So not THAT common. As for watching you on TH-cam? Of course, I dont watch much Twitch anymore because most of my time is spent on TH-cam listening to music or letting youtube autoplay just do its thing, so Ill be more incentivized to watch you if I just see you on my feed.

Pretty sure the law in Japan doesn't REQUIRE the currency to expire, it just exempts some legal fees to companies that make currency expire. So they are doing it to pay less taxes.

the cap at 120 fps makes sense for a competitive shooter. its to make sure people are always on the same playing field. or atleast makes the window for that to be much tighter. sure there are people playing on potatoes that only can run this at 30 but thats why its a thing.

The game constantly crashing and losing teammates is getting really frustrating.
As usual unreal engine based games are heavily cpu demanding, probably why bad performance to many. Def need work on more optimizations on there end.
I remember trying to enjoy Squad( a UE game) and performance was terrible always under 60 until i upgraded my cpu from a AMD 2600 to a 5800X last year.
Those server issues are unlikely to be fixed in a timely manner unfortunately. That is a worldwide issue involving semiconductor availability. Elden ring should not be a comparable event as that is ptp servers not dedicated servers. To be clear, we do NOT under and circumstance want a ptp server. I would rather this game has slow steady growth through dedicated servers then be forced onto the mess that is ptp, and all major issues it has. There is a reason very few games now adays use ptp servers.
We definitely need more ways to get more capital though, that really does need to change.

uhhh... yeah you can only utmost unlock only 2 of the locked gundams doing the math combining the challenges and the ones given through the season reward levels I agree with the idea that the way the ingame currency is earned is concerning, but.... i don't think using your friend's experience there is a valid excuse, but i digress! the capital is definitely a big concern! otherwise i'm honestly pretty optimistic about the development of this game, so long as they avoid the whole "role-locking" bs

Some of these people are complaining just because while others have a valid point to a degree but the games totally playable without paying for stuff. Unless you want to unlock the rest of the MS it's not a big deal because it's got a good amount anyway.
right now the servers are the biggest problem with the actual playing experience of the game, if you get an early game dc in casual they should allow you to play and just fill the spot during the game.

Hitting level 58 on the battle pass seems to be the way Bandai wants us to unlock a suit. You get 1k at 18 and 1k at 58, suits cost 1980, so after the 28 days of grinding out the beginner challenge, and possibly hitting 58 on the battle pass people will be able to buy at least 2 suits. I unfortunately think this is just how its going be, Japanese companies tend to have weird monetization models. Thankfully they cleared up the Evo coin mixup, saying that they don't expire on steam
They also give a bunch of EVO coin and I believe it's exactly enough for a third, but that last lot (conveniently 190 EVO instead of 100) is Rank 60 iirc. Also funny because that $10 for the Premium Season Pass could also have been spent on a suit directly
