I played tenor saxophone eons ago in high school. When I graduated and left high school, I left saxophone playing behind as well. A few weeks ago, I decided to jump back into sax playing. And jump I did, with a soprano saxophone. It has been challenging. It has been interesting. It has been fun, too. I really don't have much trouble with the low notes on my sop. It's the high notes that I have a bit of difficulty with, especially high C. Thanks for this video. I think that breathing from the diaphragm is especially important for soprano saxophone players to remember.
Hi James, thanks for your comment! Glad you have taken up the sax again :) Yes, high notes can get hard on soprano, especially keeping them in tune. I have a video for helping your improve high notes here if you want to check it out: th-cam.com/video/wZbCQLrjabw/w-d-xo.html
@@Osnosis But a Low A Alto would allow for more versatility. A Low A Soprano would be great because you'll have a larger note range & it'll fix the intonation issues.

Good day sir I have issues with my low c and d it's not sounding loud. It sounds like I'm pressing down the octave key how can I fix it sir
Some Alto Saxophones have an extra key that allows you to play one more note lower than Bb down to Low A & it actually improves the intonation
Yup! I have that on my Bari!
@@SaxophoneMasterclass They even make Low A Altos:th-cam.com/video/-6lo1yyP1p4/w-d-xo.html
Never seen a Low A alto, only Bari, where it’s now standard.
