RTX Gamecube Intro Fluid Water Simulation - 60fps 4k Ray Tracing - Multiple Versions - Blender 2.92

- All simulations upscaled from 1440p to 4k for less compression at higher resolutions.
Check below for details on each simulation.
V1: First working attempt. But could not fill completely due to inflow location, size of pipe mesh & incorrect final cube chamber (top of cube chamber above inflow.)
Also, due to the scale, the sim took way too long. So audio stretched to match sim length.
(started on 23rd March, finished 26th)
V2: Same sim data & mesh as V1, but increased playback speed to match original intro audio length.
V3: Start from scratch, made a more correct & smaller representation of the icon (final cube chamber offset allowing for a complete fill).
But the smaller pipe mesh is also thinner, meaning the fluid escaped the pipe mesh. To combat this, I lowered the particle radius of the fluid mesh just enough to leave all escaped fluid data unmeshed... Or so i thought.
However, a lower particle radius also effected the surface of the fluid inside the pipe, resulting in a choppy surface & lighter colour due to some sort of light interaction between the fluid & pipe (not intended but maybe better).
Audio stretched to sim length.
(Started on 26th March, finished 28th)
V4: Same sim data & mesh as V3, but increased playback speed to match original intro audio length.
V5: New final fluid bake with larger pipe mesh than v3-4 resulting in no escaping fluid data, used APIC for the first time, lowered CFL to 2 & increased cycles samples. Audio strecthed to sim length.
This is my favorite & closest to what i wanted, but the fluid touching the top of the inside of the pipe mesh at the end of the render looks bumpy & incorrect. I tried messing with mesh settings, but was unable to make it flatter than the default mesh settings.
(Started late 28th March, finished 30th)
V6: Same sim data & mesh as V5, but increased playback speed to match original intro audio length.

this is mantaflow not flip fluids right? if its flip then my life is a lie
You’re just on the app

I love how the slowed down gamecube music sounds like a nightmare.
It reminds me of the Submerged Castle theme in Pikmin 2
Technically it's already extremely slowed down because it's actually a famicom Nintendo theme
Or a Christopher Nolan film.
Reminds me of the Black Space theme from Omori
@@ZinkoloFamicom Disk System
I cannot wait for the day we see games being powerful enough to handle these type of water simulations
consoles finally now just being able to raytrace be like 'nooo'
@@TransistorBased console modders be like: haha! Digi water go BRRRRRRRRRR!!!!
They already are, see Sea Of Thieves for an example.
@@TheRedJadex sea of thieves uses a plane of water and code to fill up the insides of ships by just raising the level, i wish it actually filled like that
technology: 100%
math: 100%
art: 0%
If that was something you could buy, that would be the coolest fish tank ever
it would be cool; however it would be stressful for the fish tho. so thats why it probably doesnt exist
It would be cool but very hard to wash
@@G0RSHK0Vtrue
How the hell would the fish swim
Also we need a kickstand for it so yeah…
GameCube intro: Yay! Ready to play some games? Get ready for some nostalgia!
Slowed down GameCube intro: (CRACKS neck) *...LET'S GET... S T A R T E D . . .*
My God, the GameCube was such a big part of my childhood.
Same here
Good job! Nice to see this test's evolution.
Thank you
@@greenman2273it was cool
@@greenman2273I AM SERIOUS
I'm surprised you didn't use any of the secret GC startup jingles for the numerous versions you made. There's 2-3 variations of the startup jingle that you get by holding down the Z button (on 1-4 controllers) when the startup animation begins.
But this is really cool. I love the Gamecube, it's my favorite console, hands down.
wait 2-3?? I only know the first z and all 4 z ones
Green Man, you're on a roll with your videos
JET LAG?
This is actually pretty satisfying
It’s cool but the music is creepy when it’s slow
This reminds me more of an old BBC2 ident from the 1990s than a Gamecube logo.
i love seeing containers like this filled up to the brim. so few people actually show containers filling to the brim with particles
Now that's FluidCube
POV YOU ARE DROWING IN THE GAMECUBE LOGOS FLUIDS, YOU CAN FEEL IT IN YOUR S K I N
Small problem, this doesn't factor in the trapped air that would prevent the middle from filling up all the way.
I mean tbf common sense doesn't factor in infinite water sources either.
I thought the first one factored that in
slowed down is when you play NGC on composite cables, instead of component.
That's how the GameCube feels to me back then, and still is now! What a beautiful console it was...
Why is the music sound like that 0:25
The audio was stretched to match the length of the simulation. Followed by the original audio & the simulation compressed to match it.
The description has more details.
if this is accualy a real game intro ill sleep before it even starts
0:38 i like the gamecube intro 😊
This was tranquil and nice in my viewpoint :)
조용하고 직접적이었어요 :)
This music sounds like a creepypasta
Sounds like GameCube intro
Imagine if there was a console that had an intro like this to quickly show off its graphical capabilities before it started up
I’d like to know when air pressure will become a thing for water simulations.

That's really cool. Did you make that in Blender?
The title says "Blender 2.92"
@@ToastyMozart Oh, ok. I must've missed that somehow.
@@ToastyMozart because on mobile the "Blender2.92" part of the title os cut off
Although i never owned or played the GameCube, there's something RELAXING about this.
Reminds me of where we though games were headed at that time. Gamecube 2 showing off its water simulation in the logo.
The water animation inside of the cube is like swimming in the sewers. 🤣
That's pretty cool!
If only Minecraft was realistic like this
"Insect, witness my glory as I create the GameCube intro with a liquid simulation on RTX at 60fps with ray tracing multiple times!"
V1 and V2 don’t fill the full GameCube logo
Correct. There is a breakdown of each version in the description.
Some nitpicking. i would increase the cameras focal length and the distance to the subject in order to end up with something that looks like an orthographic view. From this View you could even project an image of the Gamecube logo to make sure your model has exactly the same shape in the final render and looks alike!
Also maybe it would be cool to have the glass shape that holds the liquid to be fully transparent/hidden in the render view and give the liquid material some Emission Value or glowing particles. But this is completely personal preference. Else awesome Job.
How did you make the glass?
Absolutely amazing. The only thing I missed was the final shake.
As someone with Autism and could theoretically become disorientated, I’m glad such a discussion is taking place.
about wha…
What
Intro if the next Nintendo console (supposedly supporting raytracing) be like:
I've never thought i would see a goofy ahh water in my life
How the hell did i get this recommended again after 2 years
The GameCube 2 intro be like:
We need a milk version
Where does the air go?
Air isn't simulated in mantaflow. Imagine it's a perfect vacuum in there.
I love this
Thank you
Bill: Who ate all my cookies?
THE V3 SOUNDS LIKE A REAL NIGHTMARE AHHHHHHHHHHH 0:45
bro got the minecraft infinite water source
Imagine being stuck in there😊
the water graphics is hella good
Nintendo has been real quiet since this dropped
How did the purple kool-aid ended up being inside the 3D printed glass?
Nintendo Gamecube on 🍃:
V1 Sounds like The Evil Proxima Capital ship/Base ☠️
FASTEST WAY TO SPEED UP CAUSE IT'S ALL ABOUT SPEED.
Who trapped the hydro hyperstasis in the GameCube logo?
Pretty cool stuff
v1 sounded scary
air pressure has left the chat
That's not GameCubed. That's Game 512×10^64.
It looks like sonething that Nintendo would use in some of their 2000's commercials
beautiful work
remarks:
1. use isometric camera
2. no need to round the edges
I want to drink the GameCube water!
amazing!
Thank you
GameCubes can't do this, but it's still kinda cool looking.
Ah sweet, my gamer juice is ready
surprised none of those simulations included air physics
i feel like the sony ceo inventing the ps1 and then touching a ps5 would cause the world to explode
How many weeks did this take to render?
I assume there's no air being displaced in this model? Does the model just use a null space that can be replaced with water, or is it like an actual vacuum?
I don't actually know. But describing it as "null space", I think, is the most accurate I have heard so far. It's as if it's a null space, but the fluid itself is simulated to react as if there is air in some scenarios (but this scenario is a bit of an exception.)
This was pretty cool.
Weird, but cool.
This is groovy to watch.
This is like watercooling
that first music. it reminds me of the theme to n's room in pokemon
I was expecting the ‘OooOoOoOoOo’ one and the laughing kids one.
Nice GameCube liquid effect
I like the v4 one and the v6 one
my gpu knows it wants to do this
My GPU is shaking with fear
It's used to warm up your GPU before playing.
This will be GameCube in 2012
Bro how did the air escaped from that airtight space? 🐸🐸
V6 seems pretty accurate
is that a Fluid?
Music for V5 sounds like a Zelda dungeon.
This will be GameCube graphics in 2013
Idk why I watched this but disappointed the glass didn't break from too much water
0:46 nice
I'm closing the eyes
Gamecube intro but it's from the frutiger aero era
u should make a steamdeck intro and get it added as an actual startup movie
Modern $70 videogames be like:
does this ignores pressure?
0:33 🌩
0:32 LIGHTNING
Can u do Pixar next?
V4 and V6 were great!
1:03 Minecraft?!?! 1:03
First one sounded like an indie Japanese horror game
I think it would have been great if on the final note, the glass shattered.
Version 4 is my favorite!
This will be the gamecube in 2019:
