I am a parent to a teenager. It’s not about control. I am pretty liberal with my child but I will always worry about whether is she safe, is she happy, does she get bullied, etc. Parents will always worry about their children, no matter how old they are

imho I wud sum up pros and cons of moving out for me as:
1-move out,can do what ever I want freely without fear of judgement, feel confident and indep, work easily without all the hub bub atmosphere.
    VS
2-I fear if I move out, the distance between me and family wud increase, thus reaching a point where common things we have become less(like movies, political views etc), thus having less things in common means what do we talk or enjoy together or bond over, we've become strangers.....

Unfortunately for queer Singaporeans, the only thing that are applicable to them are after reaching 35 then can apply hdb. Many couldn’t wait and decided to rent which is super expensive or stuck living with parents.
