Cut half depth blocks of silage out of the pit so your working across the pit face twice as fast, less time to go mouldy. Cut one half, open the grab and cut the next half beside it, that way your driving off with a full grab, not losing time driving around with a half load
I had a walk around the research farm last year and was very impressed. But what is the relationship between the various farms ? Who owns them all who do you work for etc is it Rothemsted or someone else and you operate the research from for them?
It's owned by BBSRC which is a research council. The commercial "home" farm provides the youngstock and forages for the research farm. Its also where the science labs are based.

Yeah, I know what you mean. This group only eat 400kg a day at the moment. I cant get across it fast enough whatever we do.
