REVERSE BULLET HELL, WITH MINING

Deep Rock Galactic is a pretty good mining game.
Dome keeper is the game for you if you like mining, I don't know if you ever played it but since the launch they have improve a lot a bring a lot of content
Wall world is pretty fun also, but it's basically sideways dome keeper lol except you move from mine to mine.
Terraria - is the great game about mining and boss killing. 😁

Terraria is an absolute blast! All about resource gathering, exploring, crafting, and killing bosses. You can sink sooo much time into it especially with all the mods out there.
This is the first thing i thought about when he said it. Amazing game.
BEST $10 I HAVE EVER SOENT. The games a gem, and if you want more there is a ton to see and do on the modded side as well.

Dome keeper is a nice mining game
A game that has mining in it as a second main focus is called “SteamWorld Build” it’s cowboy robots in a Wild West setting. City building and mining resource gathering.
don't forget steamworld dig. the original steamworld dig is much like that iconic flash game motherlode, and its pretty good. got some unique mechanics and puzzle rooms; but the main gameplay is classic motherload just as you'd expcet.
but steamworld dig 2 is one of the most fantastic and creative metroidvanias you could ever play. instead of the basic randomly generated mines like steamworld dig 1, SD2 has an awesome hand-crafted interconnected world. its all one big puzzle where you gotta think on your feet how to best dig out blocks to avoid cave-ins, not crush yourself under boulders, hunt down threatening enemies before they dig to you first, dig out traps on the fly to creatively kill enemies, and many such stuff like that. of course, the basic underlying combat is good too, but the extra depth of mining adds a massive new layer of strategy just in the same way DRG or DRG:S does to horde shooters/bullet heavens. its got tons of BOTW-like "shrine" challenges that include creative digging puzzles or platforming segments. its got some cool meta-level exploration and secrets, including many sequence break opportunities for creative players. and of course, its got tons of fun upgrades and abilities to unlock along the way as with any good metroidvania. a lot of games have cool digging mechanics that elevate the gameplay, many of which are in the steamworld franchise; but i don't think any use it as elegantly and creatively as steamworld dig 2 does.
Really enjoyed this game. Just wish there was more to it! Need more content. The combination of building and optimizing and mining... So good

Astroneer is excellent resource gathering and factory style building
Hydroneer is the only mining game I can think of off the top of my head. Lots of mining, refining and automation. Good game.

when you combine the swarm with the Hi volt drone last overclock all contracts release bolt it renders time is amazing.
You gotta kite the bosses through the swarms, not away from them, that's why your early bosses were taking so long. You have like 30 swarms going in an area and run the boss out of it. Kite in tighter circles to help the swarms out.
"Noita" is a challenging rougelike with completely destructible terrain, given that you find the means to do so. You can also collect gold(from enemies and digging) to spend in shops, and gets wands and spells to cast. There is also an alchemy system allowing you to combine solids, powders, and liquids, to make potions. It's a bit wonky and kinda clumsy to use effectively, tho.
I suppose it is about exploring, and combat, rather than just mining. It also tends to be somewhat chaotic :D
V Rising has the most satisfying wood chopping I have ever seen. Also plenty of mining. And very good combat & castle building.
I often just found myself drinking worker blood from my worker prisoner, and went resource gathering, it's that good.
Also Factorio. Mining, logistics, smelting, all that good stuff.

good mining game is below the stone and Out of Ore, out of ore is a real simulator mining game and Below the Stone is a dwarven mining game
One of the games I really love is Valheim. Still in early access but its very nicely produced!! Highly recommend

Btw at start swarm grenade has 6 drones, with final overclock you have +3 drones, and with triple split you have "Nein! Nein! Nein!" amout of drones😂

i wish they would add the option to get tag updates in single weapon runs (and increase the difficulty), weapons with only 2 update options are so limited. Like lvl 40 weapon with only reload and damage. Also 10 stages provide enough updates to also take stubby and volt drone and the shock fence to 18...

There is a pretty fun mining-only game on steam, Terra Forge I think it’s called.
Actually, I think there is one funny collision - if you want more luck, you need more luck Luck is only starting with Rare - there is no common or uncommon luck. So, if you want more luck - you need to take every luck you have, so you get more Rare+ upgrades, that will give you more luck as well.

The issue with those stupid shredder drone grenades is their insane delay between throw and release. Worsened by tripple split. So when the drones FINALLY release the player has already moved more then half the screen away, which makes them disappointing.
Solutions are yes: Aggro Range or reduced throw range releasing them closer to the player.
There are billions. The game from steam. A fun to watch game for me.
There's a small indie game called Minecraft.
Not sure if you've heard of it.
Pretty solid game, probably needs a little help to get some more players.

Have you ever played 7 Days to Die? Its a bit more focused on looting and killing zombies but you do have to mine and gather resources to build bases. Maybe not as focused on mining as you want.

I’ve done 1 10 lvl run and it crashed after I killed the final boss but before I got to the exit. I almost cried.

Adding another drone would have unlocked the drone synergy giving you potentially more damage as it is yet another multiplier.
I'd recommend Terraria, dwarf fortress and my personal favourite: Starbound.

I noticed energy bars are big time Multiplier... if you have 50% damage and take the bars at lvl 50.... you get way more than 100 damage
Age of Empires matches all your requirements about mining and chop wood 😅

steamworld dig 1 and 2 are both good mining centric games, i'd say 2 is the better of the two.
You can get level skip upgrades for support weapons in these one weapon runs can't you? For magnet and sidearm, for example.

the SSG will never be top damage the game itself crashes when you try it
Shouldn't it be very powerfull with the drone powerups. Drone damage, drone lifetime and drone reload is great but don't benefit the other drone weapons that much.
