1. We say that native plants adapt and do the best in our area relative to desease , pest and moisture requirements…..but if a non native becomes invasive, doesn’t that mean it is also adaptive to desease, pests and the available moisture and is thriving which is why we are told to use a native . It seems like if we plant a non native and it thrives. We are told to use a native so it has natural limits…and if we plant non native and it Doesn’t thrive, then we are told we should have used a native so it would have thrived and self propagated
Hey native adapt and are at the same time in balance with nature and don't destroy eveything around it like Garlic Mustard. Non native invasives (not all non natives are invasive), destroy the ecosystem and are dead zones for pollinators. This is a really easy fucking concept and not hard to understand.
Natives adapts and can be aggressive but they won't destroy eveything around it. They are essential for pollinators. Non natives that are also invasive are dead zones for pollinators and often destroy eveything around it. It's really not difficult to understand. Non invasive non natives require more maintenance, watering fertilizer, etc etc
A non-offensive droning voice is still a droneing voice. Static blue pages are not wild, not native, not plants. I had to hit dislike. Even as a radio broadcast this would be deadly sleep-inducing. Where's the plants!
This was by far the best program on Native Garden Maintenance. Thank you ReWild Long Island and Anthony! Your community is so lucky to have you.
Great information, I will share this video.
