Theres just no other audio interface reviewer that comes even remotely close to the quality and production that you deliver. We're lucky to have you, thanks for always putting out amazing content. Hope you can get ahold of the new UAD interfaces, I am dying to know how they stack up.
Not that a big deal I think. What Julian's tests tend to show is most interfaces will do the job well nowadays. The ones who have to be affraid of it is those who claim to be magically better (UAD hello ^^). He will probably show they're just as good as most others.
Julian, I love all your reviews. You are probably the only person providing a real life meaningful measurements of devices. Keep up the great work, mate.
I had lost the link for your channel and literally spent over 45 minutes looking for your channel. That is how much better your reviews are. With the time to search for because you save me time in trying to get real information from many of the others.
When I heard Arturia's making an entry level interface I immediately thought "can't wait for Julian's review." See you again in a bit for the Universal Audio Volt review.
Great review! I just decided to not get the Arturia MiniFuse, not so much because of the average sound quality, but because of the rubberized knobs. After owning the Propellerheads Balance audio interface that was basically covered in rubber I now hate rubberized knobs. No matter what you do it gets sticky over time.
Amazing video as always! Kindly do a thorough review of the Universal Audio Volt series that just came out and bless us with the knowledge of how they compare to the likes of Motu M2 and the Audient ID4/14 MKII Thank you Julian.
Very curious about the Volt interfaces from Universal Audio. And as always delivering the most extensive and best reviews one can wish for! Great Video about the MiniFuses.
Hey Julian. You are really the best! The authority on audio interface tests on youtube. I would sooo appreciate if you could do your highest quality reviews on higher quality audio interfaces. I would love to see a comparison between UA Apollo, RME Babyface, Arturia Audiofuse Rev 2.0, Metric Halo mobile I/O. And could you integrate messurements for how many ms data transfer latencies those interfaces have. That is really the only things I sometimes miss in your otherwise hardcore in depth tests (which are great). I heard for instance that the RME drivers are exceptionally good and have low latencys. And that for both MAC and PC. Yet I have no resource place I could validate that information or someone who hands on compared it. BIG THANKS MAN 4 ALL YOU HAVE DONE SO FAR!
Hi Julian! After I stumbled upon your channel I just check with you if I need some advice with any Audio Interface. You are so systematic, very thorough, straight to the point and very detailed in your reviews. I simply don't even bother with other people when it comes to Audio Interfaces. You are amazing and I have recommended you to my friends also.
I had purchased the Komplete audio 2 nearly 2 years ago after understanding your videos on different audio interfaces. And based on the details mentioned this would be a good one if only I didn't already own an interface but great to know there is something that I could consider. I personally would still love to own the Evo 4 as the smart gain would considerably help a newbie like myself
Great review. You always provide the more detailed review around. Keep it up. Hope you can also review the UAD Volt series and the Arturia Audiofuse Rev2.
Hello. I just found you and have watched a bunch of your videos, helping me select my new audio interface (haven't chosen yet). Thank you for your dedication to the specs. You are awesome!! (thinking of the ssl 12 BTW)
Yet another thorough, excellent interface review. The comparison charts with the other interfaces make for very helpful assistance when determining a future purchase. Interested in your take on the new Clarett+. They claim improved AD and DA as well as improved headphone response. I know you were high on the previous Clarett you reviewed, except for the headphone's somewhat weak response. I just picked up the Sterling M224 interface for $99.99 new to use as a secondary, portable interface. Other reviewers have liked it. I haven't found a review from our German engineer on it, though. Would certainly like to know your thoughts on it if you have access to one. While I'm a ways from hooking it up, I think I'll be pleasantly surprised. Would love to see it up in the chart with the others you've so excellently reviewed.
Great review. While i love audiosciencereview, your reviews seem to be more down to earth, you explain things in more detail for a non technical audience (e.g. audibility of measured stuff). Thumbs up!
Love u man !!!! My English is not good, but from Latin America thanks for this review, it is the BEST REVIEW, super professional October 23rd is my birthday and I will give myself an audio interface, and from so many positive reviews of "minifuse" I almost bought this instead of the audient id14-mkii but I see that it would not support my 250-Ohm headphones, or it would not do as well as the Audient. Those graphics are AMAZING, thank you so much!!!!
I came here to see if julian will review the new volt 2/76 interface Im seeking his opinion Because so far The review of julian is true and Honest Be safe all God bless
May I suggest testing popular mixers like Behringer XENYX-Q802 USB or QX1204 USB. Comparing their dynamic range and preamp noise to the audio interfaces you have already tested would be beneficial to all viewers.
I guess he could, but I think the general consensus from other outlets is that the Xenyx-based preamps are notably far worse than the newer Midas based ones, so it’s generally not as useful when there are better options available for not much more money.
@@johnbuscher General consensus is "what people say" and testing and comparing with numbers is the true picture. That's why I believe it would be good to see such tests (many people prefer mixers for their reasons). Fair play to Arturia for sending you their units... It's not like you're not going to consider and measure EVERYTHING on them!!! 👌😆👍 flawless review as usual dude 👏
I got the minifuse 1 for Christmas and I love it the perfect choice for my first interface. The funniest thing to me is that the minifuse 1 is actually smaller than I expected
Your review was truly exceptional in its detail as always and I bought me one of these, but I have to say I’m underwhelmed by its performance, at least for voice-over work. Compared to the Scarlett this guy sounds thin on the low end. It’s very hard to correct for it in post in order to make my voice sound as pleasing as with the 2i2. I’ll probably drop it on eBay before long.
i tested the evo 4 and arturia minifuse 1. i had lot of problems and bad interference signals when my i phone is near to me. but with the minifuse i had nothing and just clean signal all day. shure sm 7b , fet head and minifuse 1
10:00 Thanks for doing this. I had a Focusrite 4i4 3rd Gen before and used it with FT 770 PRO 80 Ohm. The output on maximum was always just a bit too quiet for me. Minifuse 2 gives indeed a bit more volume. I'd say around 3/4 on Minifuse 2 is the same as maximum on Focusrite.
Thanks for the review. You do excellent work whit this. Exactly on time because i need an audio interface so i will wait for the volt review . Cheers 🍻.
Another great review! Thank you for the high quality content. Any thoughts on doing a review of the Audiofuse Studio? Would be curious to see how it stacks up against all the high quality interfaces out there now.
I literally would have payed for you to have uploaded videos years back when I was in college. You answer all the important questions that people ignore but should not. You are the standard when it comes to reviewing Audio interfaces. Keep it up man. Btw which do you recommend among the three, Behringer UMC 202HD, NI Komplete Audio l2 or the Arturia Audiofuse line?
From one tech to another tech, I NEVER see enough technical specs for electronics equipment anymore. This was a GREAT review for my purchase decision and saves ME from having to dig up all this testing and information - LoL 👍🎶
My Scarlett interface recently just broke (USB port failed), so I had to go to the store and buy a new interface. Mostly just bought this one because I saw real MIDI ports on the back, but it's actually quite a bit cheaper than the 2i2, and it's just as good. The only thing it's really missing are the Air preamps, but to be honest, I never really liked those anyway because I could always achieve almost exactly the same result with a little bit of EQ work if I really wanted it. These minifuse interfaces are quite good, and are a steal for the price. The minifuse was also completely plug-and-play on my mac, didn't need to download or install a single driver. This thing is probably the best entry-level interface I've ever used (its quality is very much comparable to the Scarlett stuff, but it's a lot cheaper).
Man, I've been suggested this channel and I loved it as I'm in the process of purchasing a new audio interface (probably gonna join the patreon!). I would love to see anywhere a review like yours of the Audiofuse studio from Arturia. Julian, I figure that you'll be the right person to ask this question; So, I've been having an issue with crackling/popping going on in my headphones when connected through my Audio Interface; I know it's not a latency issue because this PC is really BEEFY lol. As for the headphones/interface, I can confirm, that the headphones are not the problem; if I plug them into the PC, they work just fine. And, I can confirm, it's not the interface. I've had this issue with a Scarlett Focusrite 2i2 (first gen) and I just got an M-Audio 192|4. I've tried disabling my wifi card, everything I can find online and nothing works; I'm wondering if you might have any solutions, or if you've ran into this issue before.
I chose MOTU M4 (and perfectly happy with it) mainly due to your reviews but can't wait to hear more about UAD Volt series. I considered SSL 2+ interface and SSL Six mixer combination but I'm waiting to see if SSL come out with an all-in-one a/i, mixer and controller solution. Something like UC1 for hybrid set up. I really love the looks of the models in white though :D
The "groundbreaking" thing about this is: A) price B) headphone amp. The minifuse 1 is about £5 cheaper than the scarlett solo while being better than it in every regard. And the headphone amp performance is the most powerful both in and well beyond it's class, 145 mw @ 32ohms far exceeds the motu m2's 27 mw which was the most recommended and costs more. Only caveat is 11 ohm output impedance so the headphones frequency vs impedance curve needs to be relatively flat so you don't here changes in fr response. It also looks the best off all interfaces imo :)

Julia, Aaways great. Wondering if you can make a video of the baby face pro in the future.
Keep up the good work.👌

5 Stars video, qualitative, complete and technically sharp. Thank you so much for this great work.
Question : did you planned to review the M-Audio AIR 192|6 ? Because there are very few in depth reviews
I'm not sure what us consumers would do without Julian 😂 Thanks for all your hardwork! Are you going look into the Steinberg Harmony H224 in the future?
Wow, thank you! Amazing review Julian. So would you chose the MiniFuse 2 over the M-Audio Air 192 6?
