Nice video man! One thing, if I may: It is so nice as a new(er) tier to hear you explain the "why" you do things as opposed to just the "...next add this..." and "...then do that..." Something about the learning phase of this process makes knowing sort of the nerdy bits make it a lot more enjoyable!!
he is correct ,a real caddis fly has a fat but and tapers down toward the eye of the hook. The length of the barbules on the Malord feather determines the length of the wing when you pull it through the resin nozzle. I use this same method when I'm preparing a "Wally wing " . I love doing Wally wings ,although there's one draw back with them .They don't last very long .One maybe two fish and their toast. So I tye a lot of them .Thanx for the pattern . Tight Lines.👍✌
Thank you so much for the feedback. I’ve used it a lot on streams and rivers, as caddis flies are among my go to’s for dry fishing. It hasn’t let me down.
@@troutflynation7684 Cool. I watched again for a refresh before tying it myself. The feather bender did a similar technique for a spinner pattern. Have fun and keep tying.
Why on earth do some people continually say, "go ahead" in their commentary? It's sounds so strange, and it's completely unnecessary in most descriptions. It's a recent acquired habit.
