🚜🌞🌧️Join me as I show you my changing views over the past 10 months. With the final images being due to our local river breaking its banks and I describe some of the devastation this will bring our farmers.
⛸️🌧️⛸️One plus that I’ve never seen before and not being disrespectful for what the farmers are going through, is the water froze and some of the locals got to ice skate not far from my home. Something that was previously part of village history for me……. Amazing!!

Beautiful views Nettie. I hadn't realized you live in such a rural area. Loved the changing of the seasons and seeing the farming going on. Always a shame to see the flooding and the harm to crop land. Don't know the cause, but the rivers overflow here to damaging levels on occasions too. Fun to see the ice skating, but still sad when you see that it's harming someone's livelihoods. The consumers of the harvest too! Thanks for bringing us along.

We've only been here for about 5 years and apart from the strong winds sometimes as it is so open and the mini pesky bugs for a few days during a certain harvest we have never looked back after a lifetime of living on the outer edges of a city.

It’s amazing how as the year goes by how the landscape changes each season playing it’s part (nature or human interference (the latter is my bet))as floods and storms seem to be harder hitting and more often nowadays 😢

I used to see scenes like this a lot back home! Heavy rain would make all the nearby farms flood so much that it almost looked like an ocean!! Beautiful in its own way!

Thank you Christine, sadly we've had more rain, so the floods are still getting worse rather than better. Luckily for now our homes are all ok as on much higher ground.

Apparently the last time this piece of land flooded and then froze enough for the locals to skate on it was around 75 years ago!
