Fans react to Japan's historic upset of Ireland

- From the Miracle of Brighton to the Stunner in Shizuoka. Japan's Brave Blossoms upset heavily favored Ireland on Sept. 28 in the biggest result of the 2019 Rugby World Cup's pool stage. We spoke to fans before and after the match to hear what they had to say about Irish supporters, the atmosphere at Shizuoka Stadium Ecopa, and Japan's incredible defense.

For your beautiful team effort and results but also for this OOOH SO well organized en amazing RWC, you have made this a special RWC! The crowd is so great to watch, the enthusiasm of the crowd at every game, the drums when the teams enter the pitch, the gong, the Japanese boys and girls that are singing the national anthems for the teams they accompany on to the pitch, you have given this RWC2019 something magic!!
This is one to remember even when it hasn't even finished yet and we can continue to enjoy this beautiful RWC 2019.

Irish fans are great. When their team wins, they celebrate by drinking, singing and dancing. When their team loses, they drink until they are so drunk that they don't remember who won, and start singing and dancing anyway. It's great to see that Japanese fans are equally gracious, if a little more dignified. I wish Japan continuing success, and I am looking forward to the Brave Blossoms playing in the Final
