This definitely sounds a lot more Hooaka-like than the original. I like it. Also, Heat Lance is... certainly a thing... I think Hooaka's trying to make up for how easy and boring he was back in Evanescent Existence...
I was never really fond of Hooaka's original theme, and it will probably be the same with this version. It's nice, but I expected something more powerful... But I actually like it better than the original ;v;
Meh, think what you want, to me, it doesn't matter if Jynx is trying to be the next ZUN. As long as the game's enjoyable, the music's good and the characters are still charming, then that's all that matters to me and probably most of us.
Rail-Gun If you like Nansei that much, I think it'd be better if you went to those videos instead of Len'en ones. Also, if you're going to put down a game, at least be thought provoking and say why you think the other games are superior. On a side note, uhh, JynX needs a new career? Because you find something difficult? He can do whatever makes him happy, and if making more Len'en games is what he wants, so be it.
JynX music > Nansei's though. In any case I sort of agree, i'm not particularly a fan of invisible or fast bullets. My compaint with JynX's games though is that I don't really enjoy the danmaku, its always the same bullet patterns and same bullet colors, I want to see something more unique rather than knives, balls, lasers and bubbles. That's something ZUN manages to do right, blending the background along with the music and danmaku creating an unique boss fight with cool visuals.
+Rail-Gun It's one thing to say that Len'en isn't as good as the series that inspired it (Touhou), and I'd agree with that- but the bit about Nansei being better is just low-effort trolling. The fact that Len'en games are more difficult than Touhou games are one of the POSITIVE points of the series. You can't blame the fact that you're terrible at shmups and sit on the edge of the screen on the creators of the games. Stick to shipping characters and shit.
