Last night it rained more than 100mm in Seoul. I walked through Itaewon in the rain last night. Maybe I'll be able to share it with you this week and I hope you guys like the video. Okay, this is the second video I walked in Busan. On this day, I walked to Haeundae Beach and it was very hot with the temperature exceeding 30 degrees. Beaches in Korea usually open on July 1st, and the water temperature is still low, so not many people swim. Let's walk along the beaches of Busan together.

Haeundae Beach is an urban beach in Busan, South Korea. Often dubbed one of the country's most famous and popular beaches, it is located in the eponymous Haeundae District.
The beach is open year-round, and various festivals are held there throughout the year. A popular beach event, "Polar Bear Club", during which participants bath in near freezing water, has been held annually since 1988 in January.
Haeundae is closely associated with cinema, as it partly hosts the Busan International Film Festival, and was featured prominently in the 2009 disaster film Tidal Wave.
Popular sights near the beach include Dongbaekseom, at its west end, which is a popular fishing area. Oryukdo, a group of small islets east of the beach, which are considered a symbol of Busan. The neighborhood surrounding Haeundae is home to most of Busan's expatriate population.
Due to its fame, Haeundae is one of the most expensive areas in South Korea, and the most expensive outside of the Seoul Capital Area. This has led to numerous urban development projects near the beach and the nearby Marine City, including skyscrapers such as Haeundae Doosan We've the Zenith and Haeundae LCT The Sharp.

I have smiled so that my cheeks are hurting 😂 I enjoyed to see all those happy kids playing on the beach. As an adult you never get that feeling again! Beautiful Busan, beautiful Haeundae beach - have to remember this when winter comes again although this +27˚C what we have now here in 🇫🇮 is too much for me 🙈🙋🏻♀️❤️🐈🤓
This was such a wonderful walk! Children playing, everyone so carefree. I loved Haeundae when I visited in May 2018, soooooo long ago 😩. The Sand Festival was fabulous and the walks around the coast were just beautiful. 👌

I visited Haeundae a few years ago. I also just visited Hawaii. Personally, I'd take Haendae ALL DAY LONG. Incredibly beautiful, wide, picturesque beach. Fell in love the minute I crossed the street onto the sand. Truly a must see for people going to Korea. And there are an endless variety of restaurants. Korean food is soooo good. Hope Korea opens up soon so that I can plan return trip.

The only thing I don't like about Haeundae beach is that the life guards don't let people swim "deep". Heck, people don't even really swim in the water..they just float on the tubes or stand....
@@Johnny-hn9ts that’s actually really interesting. I never could figure out why people didn’t go deeper or actually swim. Seems like most just stand in the water or play right at the edge. That’s too funny. I always kind of thought- I was- maybe not noticing people actually swimming or going deeper into the water.
I feel you. Can’t wait to return to Korea although my finances probably won’t let me. There’s always hope, right?💜😁

The magic of a good economy. Everyone looks so healthy and happy. I know not everything will be perfect in South Korea but it's amazing what the country has been able to achieve in the last 100 years. Long may it continue!
@Anymous V i hope the North Koreans can join in on the fun that their Southern neighbors have in the future if Korea ever has reunification. I hope it will happen. South Korea will turn the North into being modern if reunification ever happens
@@T-Rex-nm1se Reunification (if it ever happens) will likely be messy. If the North were to join with the South, the South would have to bear the economic and social cost of inheriting a land of 25 million desperately poor, indoctrinated, low educated people with anti-american sentiments. A fully reunified, capitalist and democratic Korea will also likely be heavily burdened by then having to share borders with both communist behemoths of China and Russia who won't look favourably upon a nation allied to the Americans.
@@Ryan-gh4iz While it's partly true, the part that it will not be easy to integrate the North into the South, let's remember that Korea is not a province of the USA as well... ;)
@@numdd4717 While that's true, you shouldn't underestimate the influence having the US as an ally has on a country. There are 15 US military bases stationed in South Korea right now. The US has bases in Taiwan for instance, a country that is currently at risk of invasion by mainland China. There are policies in place that say if China decides to invade Taiwan, the US will go to war with China. The US currently keeps Taiwan free from communism. Subsequently, if North Korea decided to invade the South, guess who will step in and fight for them.
@@Ryan-gh4iz No one is diminishing US impact or influence, listen to what I said. I just think it's wrong to only mention you're own countries impact, stances, views, issues on a hypothetical scenario of what would happen in ANOTHER two countries unification. The way you talked just bothered me as if everything is about how the US thinks. At the end of the day this would be about the Korea's and not USA, and we can't talk like these countries are provinces of the USA and have no say themselves on what happens. In a case where the North invades the South the UN and NATO would be intervening. Including the US, not just the US.

We had a wonderful time in Busan. We stayed their for 6 day’s. Traveling from Seoul to Busan then to Jeju island and back to Seoul. It’s a. Holiday that you never will forget. Maybe we will be back.
