Was it as big of a deal as people make it out to be? I'm hearing horror stories from my local shop and I am pretty mechanically inclined. In fact, my local shop said that doing the inlets while doing downpipes makes no difference in ease of install. I do all my own work but people are making the subframe drop sound like a nightmare.
Joshua Dunkle The subframe drop was really no big deal it's for large bolts. Put the car up on jackstands then attach an engine hoist to the motor. Then dropped a sub frame down it will come down about 6 inches or so... the tie rods and struts still hold it on the car. Then pull the down pipes and while the rear down pipe is off you can do the rear inlet that is very easy if you drop the motor about 3 inches inside the car to give it all some room then do the front and let then put the downpipe's back on and then you simply Jack to sub frame up stick the bolts back in it. Do not forget to disconnect intercooler hoses when you lower the motor down it stresses them out.
These autos launch so smooth man! Can’t get more then a 12.6 but I spin in the launch

Joshua Dunkle yes. You must drop the subframe down to change the down pipes and it's a perfect time to do inlets as well.

I appreciate the detailed response! I may end up doing it myself because that doesn't sound bad at all. Everyone is telling me how horrible it is.
