Wow I just had a revelation recently about how the nodes flow together like the infinity symbol with the present and mastery in the centre. To find this video now validating that feels good.

Agree the nodes are about balance. Massively important points. Esp via relationships. They are all about relationships. They are not distinct as good and bad points, north vs south, as mainstream astrology suggests. They work together and are about seeking balance between past and future and different qualities of personality (via the rulers of the nodes and their houses). Very libra energy in the end. Always working together. I say this as an empirically oriented research astrologer born out of over a decade of research.

In my experience ALL astrology is about finding balance using all the energies in our charts in conjunction with the changing energies of the cosmos. 💜🙂

Love this perspective of the nodes as a balanced dance. Our past makes us who we are, doesn't make it bad or something we need to let it all go. I love my Sag SN!

Agreed. More than anything I would describe the nodes as the bookends of the chart. The Beginning & The End. With everything else in the chart serving as the middle.

I’m a node nerd too. Transiting nodes are squaring my 10th house Saturn (plus a bunch of other aspects) and my career path in astrology is clear. Seeing life play out in the birth chart is so magical. I am humbled and grateful to be able to tap into the guidance and love from the universe! 🙏 💕✨

This was fascinating! Mark Jones is doing groundbreaking work on the nodes and his view of looking at them as one axis instead of two points makes so much sense. Thank you for sharing this ❤️

A long dormant interest in Astrology has been awakened since my 46th birthday last Oct and as I've looked deeper into the nodes I realise I have transiting NN opposing natal NN in 10th house, 11° Sag, at a time when I'm consumed by life path, divine purpose and getting out there in the World to fulfil them. SO interesting. Great talk, Thankyou.

in my experience i think the nodes are of massive importance, every time i see a big transit to the nodes it is like a unavoidable event happens.
i have Saturn conjunct south node opposite mars conjunct north node. all 4 are malefic by traditional standards. so i can only speak from my aspects experience, however it seems like there's something left over i have from a past life, and i can feel it, at times when my aspect is aspected by transit i feel extremely down, depressed, violent and scared, it is like some past trauma is activated that i can't control yet dont know what it is. i can even see the transit about to happen some days and will tell myself (dont react try to have a good day) yet something happens and i can't control my reaction, sometimes i feel like this life and the last are merging together, and im having to deal with things from before but in a new situation if that makes sense?
i was born as my mother had her nodal return, 18 years later she had her next nodal return and i moved across the world. both times she had to deal with some pain.
a time last year venus and mercury transited conjunct my north node in 6th house of pets, my dog got sick and needed surgery (i have conjunct mars remember) and it cost me over 10 thousand dollars and gave me massive mental stress, needless to say this natal aspect has been the biggest challenge of my life.
but then another time i had only venus conjunct my north node and i began to begin to learn to play an instrument for the first time (it felt like remembering) , so im guessing that the nodes can at times give karmic gifts. luck of the draw i guess
i had transiting south node go over my venus and i came across an old lover. these are just some of the few events i have noticed since studying my own chart
also a few weeks back my friend had transits to her nodes i cant remember the exact planets that were involved, but that was when she got the vaccination for Covid, of course the north node symbolizes things like virus's, poisons etc

I've always seen the moon's nodes has the tools to better understand the opposing node. I saw them as building bridges from one to another.

What a fascinating discussion, thank you! I look forward to the new book.
It got me thinking of my nodal return next year, and looked it up - Uranus will be conjunct when I have my nodal return in Taurus (Mars will also be conjunct these no less on the day!) Looks to be an interesting (if not explosive!) transit...I also have a nodal square to my Sun this autumn, which I will be more cognizant of now.
A quick question - is it just the hard aspects from the transiting nodes we look for, or any Ptolemaic aspect?

My brief and simplistic understanding of Vedic Astrology it that it is based on the planetary nodes, if this is correct why not study or use Vedic principles? Or is this an avenue to incorporate western and Vedic astrology? I’m not terrifically knowledge, please forgive my ignorance if I’m off or insulting.

    • @AstrologyUniversity
      @AstrologyUniversity  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

That's not correct Cindi. Jyotish, or Vedic astrology, is not based on the planetary nodes. It is a whole complex system of techniques, as is Western astrology.
