I'm so happy you posted this. I was waiting for a full wander ever since you got your new graphics card. Thanks so much for continuing to make these videos!
Shaftell Glad to be continuing the series! I know I've said it before, but these wanders are always some of my favorites vids to make. After getting my new card, it took me a looong time to get my mods/graphics to the point where I was really happy with them. I still have a couple of things left to do that I've been putting off (like generate distant LODs with TES5LODGen, which is a pain), but I think it looks pretty nice as is too :)
Finally get a new wander video, tried to watch it, fell asleep on my couch halfway through, woke up two hours later dazed and confused. All hail the Skyrim wander vids!! good stuff mate
oh my god I just came back to your channel hoping to rewatch some of your old Skyrim videos, looks like I'm just in time for a new one! thank you, and pleeeeeease keep doing this series!
Mr Nerd your voice brings peace and relaxation to my mind.I hope u never get bored making these videos because ASMR artist like yourself ,Ephemeral rift and asmr gamer are hard come by.
Thanks man, I appreciate it! I enjoy making these videos, it gives me a creative outlet, forces me to slow down for a bit, and I know they help a lot of people. No plans to stop :)
To think, this game could have been this beautiful in its vanilla format, but consoles held it back. Nothing against consoles, but they do definitely hold games back sometimes.
Something about these videos sound so different from your others and it's so effective. Also get a touch of ephemeral rifts style too, but it's definitely got a more liquid feel and it's so nice
Ok, I just finished watching this video and all I can say is WOW. The visuals are outstanding. This is my first time watching these and I must say that I was a bit apprehensive at first, what I mean is I was waiting for the point when...BAM! steal clashing with steal action or a big scary picture pops up. After watching and reading the description I discovered I'd never heard of ASMR but considering it's 5am here and I just woke up :) thanks for the sunrise just the same. And I will be subbing for more of your videos. It's amazing how beautiful Skyrim can become with mods and makes you wonder why Bethesda did'nt make it look this way from the beginning. P.S. Your rig is sick
Haha, I go to great effort to make sure nothing scary happens. Never have to worry with my Skyrim wanders :). Really glad you enjoyed it, and thanks for the sub!
Thanks man! I try to stay on top of the latest mods, and I recently overhauled my whole mod list, so everything should be right up-to-date. Using a lot more Vivid Landscapes textures this time around, they're just so good. Gotta love that parallax!
I just discovered your videos and I love them! I think if you used the mod, sounds of Skyrim, it would be very relaxing with its extra sound fx. Great vid!
That's great to hear, glad you think so! It can be a challenge sometimes to come up with new places to go, things to talk about...but I like how this one turned out :)
I always read comments, although I don't always have time to respond to every one these days. I try though! It can be hard to stay on top of it. You question was a good one :)
Have you ever thought of doing an Oblivion wander? Obviously, the graphics aren't as good, but the colours were much warmer in Oblivion and it makes me feel better than playing Skyrim for some reason.
Yes, actually! I spent a while prettying up my Oblivion install a while ago, with the intention of doing a video. But I got side-tracked with all kinds of other stuff, as I tend to do. Thanks for reminding me :)
I got all the mods but I can't figure out the load order. Could you maybe do a quick video or explanation of that? Edit: I realized I had a different issue. I got the mods to work all except for the focus one. Where you look at something and the background goes blurry.
Crazy to think this is coming up on a 4 year anniversary. If they take the same amount of time on the next Elder Scrolls we should have a new one within 2 years ;)
PringlesFTW Yeah, 4 years this November. Doesn't feel that old at all, thanks to the modding community. Sadly, I don't think we're going to see a new Elder Scrolls game for a while yet. Bethesda is undoubtedly working on a new Fallout title, and they haven't even announced that yet. I predict we won't see a proper new TES game until at least 2018, which is depressing to type.
This is such a brilliant idea. I really hope somebody figures out how to use the asmr type stuff for video games. Imagine the kind of experiences you could create.
Love these videos. They got me playing Skyrim again. I was wondering if you could show your character in one, i'm just curious to see what character you made.
Davis Schleifer In my previous wanders, my character was a burly Nord fellow who liked to hit things with a big hammer. In this video I have a new character, an Imperial lass who was orphaned and raised by Nord hunters in the wilds of Skyrim. She favors a bow. Perhaps I'll show them one day :)
Could you please do a similar series while playing Fallout 3 or New Vegas? I love these "wandering through X" videos and the Capital Wasteland/New Vegas would be the perfect setting for more ASMR.
Harry Weir I've thought about it before, and I think you're right, it could be good. I don't have a prettied up FO3/NV install right now, but if I do get around to doing that, I'll see about making a video with it. Thanks for the suggestion man!
***** I've actually done an ASMR video with Vanishing of Ethan Carter, you can find it here: th-cam.com/video/uuQS_MXHdqA/w-d-xo.html. I meant to get back to it but haven't yet (like 90% of the other games I do...). Anyway, I hope you enjoy it!
I wish more games had graphics that are amazing like skyrim has. Destiny also has great graphics. I never really noticed the graphics in destiny until I was standing around waiting on a friend and then I noticed all of the small details and how good the graphics are
Skyrim's modding community has done such an amazing job with the graphical mods. It takes some patience, but you can really make the game beautiful. I can't speak for Destiny because I don't play it, but I've heard that it's really gorgeous.
I'd love to do a video like that. I'll have to study up a bit though, because it can get really, really complicated. I've always got a huge backlog of videos to do, but I'll add this to the list :)
Elisabeth Lehmann You're welcome, really glad you like them! And I'm happy that you've found a male voice that works for you. I also listen mostly to female ASMR videos, but there are a few guy's channels that I find really relaxing too.
great video, i always love your skyrim stuff! quick question - what are some of the better lower-resource mods you might recommend? i only have a crappy gtx560 card at the moment (i know, i should probably upgrade.. *sigh) and i've only ever had skyrim on x360, but the more i see videos of modded skyrim on pc the more it makes me want to download and have a bit of a mess around with it.
Do you think you could do a whispering video explaining in depth about the mods you're using? That would definitely trigger me heaps. By the way: found your channel just the other day and I love it ;D
I've thought about it, and I might try to do something like that. I've honestly got so many mods, I could probably do like 10 videos on them. What I might try to do is a basic modding video, talking about how to get started, best practices, and a few of the major mods I use.
Out of curiosity, what kinds of framerate do you run Skyrim at with these visual mods? Also, is this an ENB as I couldn't work out whether or not you were using one in the description. Thanks for the great videos!
I get a consistent 50-60 FPS. I use Natural Lighting and Atmospherics ENB v1.4 with Enhanced Shaders NLA 1.1. I started with the Ultra High preset, and tweaked a few parameters to my liking. It's pretty taxing, but lower presets still look great and should be a little easier on the GPU. For antialiasing I use temporal AA and sub-pixel AA through ENB, but switching to edge AA also increases performance a lot.
What other games do you think a wander series could take place? Dont get me wrong skyrim is a beautiful place but id love to see other places. Maybe paris in assassins creed unity or los santos in gta 5 when it comes out on pc. far cry 4 would be cool too
IL Divino Good ideas, thanks for the suggestions! I've also been considering a wander in The Long Dark, and I've been meaning to do one with Dear Esther for a loooong time. Like two years. Also, I'd like to do another Vanishing of Ethan Carter video.
Nick your game looks fantastic! I've just recently build a tower desktop (not an expert on building PCs) and I tried to mod my Skyrim but my game keeps crashing :/ or there's some sort of texture glitches like purple textures for example or some textures just appear pure black. I have a Intel Core i7-4790 @ 3.60GHz 16.0 GM RAM and a ASUS NVIDIA GTX 980 Strix (the same card as you) and I just don't know what the problem is I tried downloading the memory block mod but that doesn't help. Could you please give me any recommendations or maybe a full list and load order of your mods? Thank you upfront great video too man :)
Hmm, it's hard to know what the problem is without knowing more about your installation. Your hardware isn't the issue of course, you should be able to run just about any mods with ease. What are you using to manage your mods? I can't recommend Mod Organizer enough. It's so much better than NMM. Also, are you using LOOT to set your load order? It's a big help, but it will sometimes put things in strange places. Otherwise, the general thing I always say is always check the download section of each mod for compatibility patches, and always read the mod description completely to be aware of any conflicts. If you've done all that and you still have issues, I guess it's time to start disabling mods one by one, and seeing what solves your problems. It can be tedious, but sometimes that troubleshooting is the only solution. Also, I should point out that I do still have occasional crashes, despite being very careful with my mod combinations, install order, and load order. They Skyrim engine is just flaky like that, every once in a while it seems to throw a fit no matter what you do. I hope some of that is helpful!
As an addendum to my last comment, if you're using ENB, make sure you take the time to customize enblocal.ini to suit your system. S.T.E.P has a great guide to what every option does. Bad settings in enblocal.ini can be a major source of instability.
Don't forget that if your landscape textures are purple, this is usually a result of parallax landscape textures. If you use those mods, check the description for a fix. (More specifically check Zerwas1's Parallax Terrain Mod description)
Terrainer ***** Wow you guys are amazing thank you very much for the help! I have to read a little more about what's on S.T.E.P haven't gotten to modding Skyrim as of yet, sort of glanced through but I'm sure there's a lot of useful for a newbie like myself. And Nick I'm not using an ENB because it drops my frame rate dramatically, from about 80-70 to like 30-25 but maybe it's because I haven't really looked at my enblocal.ini and I am using NMM, I tried using Mod Organizer but I had trouble activating mods that have been downloaded with it maybe I just need to watch more of Gopher's tutorials lol
Thanks! Yeah, I've been keeping a close eye on Star Citizen. I think it's looking really cool, but I'm a little worried that they've bitten off more than they can chew. I'm really interested to see where that game ends up.
I have to admit, I drank the Star Citizen Kool-aid. But yeah, hopefully they can successfully deliver all that's been promised! Keep up the great work!
Kate O'Hara Glad you like the look! I'm using a TON of mods, and in past I've posted a partial mod list in the video description. I'll do that for this video too, but it's just taking me time to get that list together. Look for it there in the next couple of days :)
Then make another videoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
HorsemanASMR - Gaming/Tech Haha the old Skyrim modding itch. Have fun! Though I must recommend Mod Organizer over NMM. I switched to MO a while ago and I'll never look back. Takes a bit to learn, but it's infinitely better in the long run. Really can't recommend it enough. Look up Gopher's tutorial video here on YT, they're excellent.
Asmrnerd, in the description it states that you use Skyrim Flora Overhaul. In your camera pan during the first few seconds the giant tundra trees added by SFO are not in sight. How did you manage this as I dislike these trees and am wondering if you could shed some light on the situation.
+Moregasm the Powerful In SFO versions lower than 2.0, you can remove the bent pines (giant tundra trees) with the "Remove Bent Pines" patch under the "Optional Files" section of the Nexus download page. In SFO version 2.0+ the bent pines (giant tundra trees) are disabled by default, but you can add them back in with the "Bent Pines for SFO 2.0" patch if you so choose (though it sounds like you won't!). Personally, I go back and forth on them. I like the model, but I think they're a bit out of place in the tundra.
oh my god, I cannot tell you how much of a dream come true these "Wandering in Skyrim" asmr videos are
your a beast for listing the mods
I love your Wandering in Skyrim vids, They are one of my favorite ASMR series videos. I look forward to watching them. Thanks.
Definitely one of my favorite series to make as well. Glad you enjoy them so much, thanks!
Had a terrible evening, and you just washed all of my negative energy away with your wonderful whispered commentary. Thank you.
Mixonne Really glad it improved your day :)
Your videos are very unique, and are truly relaxing, so thank you
Really appreciate you saying so, thank you!
I am glad you brought the Skyrim wander back. My favorite video series by my favorite ASMRtist :)
I'm looking forward to doing them again :)

Erin Bridges Haha perfect timing! I'll be making these regularly again :)
Love this so much! Especially the wind in my ears! Awesome ASMR journey
Thank you so much for putting those visual mods in the description! Your game looks amazing!
Nick Panaggio Thanks! People always ask about the mods, so I started providing the modlist.
Your Wandering Skyrim Vids are just perfect! I love them so much and this last is awesome :) 100% Relaxed
Fantastic, I'm really glad you enjoyed it so much :)
I love skyrim so much thank you so much for doing this its one my fav videos ever
So I found your channel today...and you are awesome. These Skyrim Wanderings are wonderful, and look great. Thank you so much!
My two fav things, ASMR and video games! Yay!

I'm just finding these videos, had no idea anyone who loved Skyrim would make ASMR about it. These are great! Nice work!
Glad you found them! There are numerous other channels who have done Skyrim ASMR too ^^
It really is amazing how detailed and beautiful the world is. Amazing
it's a MOD
To think, this game could have been this beautiful in its vanilla format, but consoles held it back. Nothing against consoles, but they do definitely hold games back sometimes.
Yeah but some people on laptops would not be able to run it so I say it's a 50/50 both sides made this happen
ethan glaze Thats why lower graphics options exist, for lower-end PCs.
Yeah but even some lower ends couldn't run on low. My friend had a laptop ran the game 14 frames lowest settings but I guess he just had a shit laptop
ethan glaze So, if your friend couldn't run the base game, he couldn't run a version with better graphics anyway. So really, that's his fault.
+You're Pretty Good But if you have a pc then you're able to mod it and it doesn't really change anything for you does it?
Your skyrim videos are the best!! Please make more lol
I love your Skyrim videos. Please so more if you have the time.

I heard about you from Miles Luna. I am so glad I did, your voice is so soothing and these videos are so perfectly beautiful.
+Nicole MacDowell Thank you! I heard that he mentioned me in a video, that was very kind of him. Really glad you're enjoying my stuff :)
Very nice video, and really cool graphics. the photorealism of these mods is almost scary.
Thanks, glad you liked it!
I am ready to wander once more friend! :D Excellent job :)
Thanks man :)
Great as always, thanks!
William Starby You're very welcome!
You definitely keep your modlist up to date!
I'd recognise those dirt and tree textures anywhere :P
Great video as always dude!

***** Have you tried Pfuscher a.k.a Zerwas1's mods? They are the best!
Terrainer I haven't, but they look bloody great! I'll probably give 'em a shot soon.
I wanted to stay up late but youre making me fall asleep xD
Wix3nZ That was my plan all along, mwahahaha!
Excellent as always!

I just discovered your videos and I love them! I think if you used the mod, sounds of Skyrim, it would be very relaxing with its extra sound fx. Great vid!
Clizby Junksculpture Glad you enjoy them! I believe I'm actually using Sounds of Skyrim in this video, I think I just forgot to list it in the mods.
Great mods great game great lore well done
Ryan Byers Thanks man!
Oh sweet, your videos are back!
I never new other people made these videos, till i uploaded my first one. Damn that video was genius
Asmr Geek Which videos, ASMR gameplay? Lots of people out there making them these days, it's pretty cool!
Your pc is a beast!
Haha thanks man. I love PC hardware, so it's one of the few things I invest a bit more in.
Hey what is your computer is it specially built or?
Hey i haven't commented in a while but this has been one of your best wander vids yet!!!
That's great to hear, glad you think so! It can be a challenge sometimes to come up with new places to go, things to talk about...but I like how this one turned out :)
Ah my favorite, you not only read my question but you read my comments. Bravo asmr nerd. You have my deepest of praises.

Yup!
I must've been hit with a paralysis spell, because I can't do anything but listen to this bliss.
pure love 💕
Looks like Tuolumne Meadows, Yosemite. Awesome.
maikeru619 Never been to Yosemite, but I'd love to hike there. Always looks so beautiful.

Awesome game and great asmr
Great Video.
Which mods in The Ruffled Feather pack are you using?
Right now, just Better Dynamic Snow and Moss Rocks. I actually have them as standalone versions. I might add some more from the pack in future.
Love it. Nuf said.

Those glitchy Sabercats
Your back bro, thanks for another get video
*great
You're welcome man!
what is your average framerate?
+Volumegood 50+ exteriors, solid 60 interiors.
***** I've got a 970 gtx, i5 4460
8 gb ram. 3,5 ghz. Can i run it. Btw love your videos.
So good! Love these, and all your uploads. Are you interested in Star Citizen at all?
I hate to be >that< nerd but I love your texture mods1 I was wondering if you'd ever make a list of the mods you use? It makes skyrim so beautiful!
Kate O'Hara Glad you like the look! I'm using a TON of mods, and in past I've posted a partial mod list in the video description. I'll do that for this video too, but it's just taking me time to get that list together. Look for it there in the next couple of days :)
I watched 3 seconds of this video, and now I'm reinstalling the Nexus Mod Manager. I'm going to mod Skyrim again.
Then make another videoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
HorsemanASMR - Gaming/Tech Haha the old Skyrim modding itch. Have fun! Though I must recommend Mod Organizer over NMM. I switched to MO a while ago and I'll never look back. Takes a bit to learn, but it's infinitely better in the long run. Really can't recommend it enough. Look up Gopher's tutorial video here on YT, they're excellent.
***** The name 'Mod Organizer' vaguely rings a bell, but I don't know much about it. I'll look into it. Thanks.
+theASMRnerd thanks, installed the file now. Also thanks for the rapid response, it quite surprised me.
You should wander through ablivon
Ablivon 😳
@@LewisMitch_1 🤣👌
these mods make the game so realistic its so sick, but i guess you need a 2k euro pc for it
Where was that shrine of talos
I was just waiting for a giant to just spawn completely out of no where and send you packing to space, ruining the relaxing ASMR. 😂
Ha, the sabercats running looks so derpy
Scott J Haha I know right? I wish they'd just walk normal instead of doing the derpy slow-mo run. The more I see it, the more it makes me giggle.
When you started the video I thought you were going to that one place with the tree for the white run temple
Scott J same
Getting real pissed off trying to learn how to use ENB, you could make a relaxing tutorial. People would flock to it.
Atari 2600 ASMR......that would be the best :D
"Hey look a cave" - Lydia stfu! I'm trying to enjoy asmr here! :p
Hey look it's Groot! @ 11:05
