@Flashlegz I mean he can still pump out high damage, just gotta avoid using doll early on, plus you can still loop back into doll so I'd say it balances out. Fun character overall
@@Killerex100 I see, I don't even mix when I use the doll, for some reason people panic when I put it down in the corner and 90% of time they do something other than block. The 10% that do block, I go for the overhead
Blanka is such an interesting technical character. But because all his specials look the same, people assume you spam and don't appriciate it, and quit. And honestly, his looks makes me want to avoid him too.
Any advance tip on how to do backwards jump MP into air RB like here 0:48? I tried doing this day one in combo trails and just could not get it out. I didn't put too much effort in. I don't practice that much and not really played SF6 for months but was forced to main blanka as he is the closest out of anyone who suits my playstyle. So I would like to learn how to do ot as it is an optimal combo for oki in that situation.
@Stinkyremy you gotta delay the jmp a bit so you can have time to build charge for air ball, also wanna mess around with the timings on the delay because that can affect how plus you are after it
you don't need to delay the jump. You have to be holding back the entire time including after you press MP. You can only press forward+HP after the MP hits. Go to training lab and pay attention: you are probably releasing the back button too early.
@@SubFiveTheFighterThatCantWin tbh I only tried it for a short amount of time on release in combat trials. I don't really do practice in fighting games and just learn as I play. unless there is something specific I need to learn how to deal with. In SF6 case I don't even play it that much any more, I don't think it's a good game. DR makes the game too "samey" for every character. People call is "slime rush". It's a very anti fun mechanic. So is DI. Whole drive system is crap. Then to top it off for me, there is no character that suits my playstyle, so I don't really have a main and none of the season 2 DLC chars will suit my playstyle either. I haven't even bought season pass 2.
This is the sort of content I need to learn. Not 25 minutes of optimized combos. There are like, 4 optimized combos I need.
For anyone wondering, saving doll stuff and lvl2 for another vid
Hope you do the next one soon!! Blanka doesn’t have enough good concise guides
Great stuff, the doll damage scaling nerf was a little higher for shorter combos than I expected, but I guess he shouldn't have that two touch setup
