Re the fairy lights,how about stick some hingings near the ceiling so you can just hook the lights on it

use the same hook you hang your keys on and put it up by the fairylights and hang them on that

I used command hooks! My landlord is very cool so she let me put them on, command hooks don’t damage walls either so it’s a win win x
