I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought it was loud. I have one on a 11.5 V2 lure. It wasn't too bad. Be aware of the kind of water you fish. If there is a lot of grass you will get it tangled up. And have to lift it up and clean it out. It's a pain kinda. I do like it though.
+Headwaters Kayak Thanks! Yeah, we are very happy with it. Loved your comparison with the Titan 10.5! Was great to see it side by side with another new pedal drive platform! Wish it were nice here, but with below zero temps open water is scarce. We did get it out on the Mississippi the other day, will be posting the video and initial thoughts and lessons learned.
Ive got a 13.5 lure, wish this unit was cheaper.. it looks high quality but 1k seems a pretty steep. I can get a trolling motor and battery for way cheaper.
They should have done a two version option, one with just a pedal drive without all the extra clunky material and the other a combo or just the motor itself, now you have 3 options...lol
+Nash Guy There are two options. The pedal drive only. Or pedal drive with the motor module. To insert the motor you remove the storage container and slide in the motor. The only thing is the motor engages with a large gear inside the drive unit and disengages the pedals. I'm personally a fan on the modular setup. Allows me to add/remove/never install the motor as I chose. Quite strong and flexible!
+RipLine Fishing You can get them from your local FeelFree dealer. $999 for the pedal unit. Plus rudder cost depending on your configuration. It was designed with salt water in mind so I'd expect it to handle that just fine.
Small Craft Fisherman thanks for the info. Good to know. I do not have a rudder set up on mine. I have a power pole mini instead. But wondering. If I have the overdrive peddle system can’t I just guide myself with my paddle ore??
+RipLine Fishing You could in theory. But the benefit of the rudder with it is the ability to steer easily while pedaling and fishing. I've seen folks that made a mount for the PowerPole that also allowed a rudder.
Thanks for the info... Glad you didn't hurt yourself despite your dangerous knife-work form.

Great to get some info out on this drive. We tested it yesterday and we are pretty happy with it!
