Your reaction was very insightful and profound. I liked it so much that I’m not even going to analyze the song, I’ll just run with your take on it and apply. You’re so right, no one knows the fire in your heart as to what path you chose and why you wanted to go down that path towards your goal or desire of your heart. So, forget the nay sayers and stay on the straight and narrow path leading to your dream. Love your reactions. Steven
Sweet! "Honky Cat" is one of the first Elton John songs I remember hearing on the radio when I was a little kid. The funky syncopation with the piano accents gave the song an old-timey ragtime feel that helped the song stand out. But I was so young at the time I thought he was singing about an actual cat!
Elton John suggestion - "Song For Guy". It's a mostly instrumental tribute from Elton to Guy Burchett who worked as a messenger for Elton's Rocket Records. 17 year old Guy died in a motorcycle accident. It's from 1978.
Cool sounds from the past... Elton John literally blew up in that era of the 70's. Keep the faith, Faye👍💥😎🎤👆. And keep smiling 😃🎶🎼💯
Such a jaunty groove!
