I found the owners and all jewelry and papers were returned. They didn't want to be filmed. I updated this in reply to a comment which the poster appears to have later deleted so I'm pinning this up here for those wondering what happened.
Two ways, first time I worked like crazy in the oilfield, saved every cent I made and didn't buy anything that I didn't absolutely need until I could finance my first flip house. Then worked on the house in my free time after work until I got it done and sold. The great recession hit and it took me 9 years to recover. Got my income back up again to where I could take a small loan and bought the cheapest house I could find with good potential, then another, etc. I have no kids so that helps me save.
Yeah, there are tradeoffs everywhere. I intentionally avoided having kids waiting until I felt I was financially secure, but due to market crashes (first dotcom bust, then great recession) that kept getting delayed and now I'm too old and women my age are starting to be grandmas already. Oilfield is dangerous, people died and lost fingers/hands, thankfully none on my shifts. It's safer these days. I buy on the normal market mostly, though some auctions and sometimes I troll areas looking for abandoned houses if the market is slim. Usually what I buy are the properties no one else wants or no one else sees potential in, I've learned to figure out which ones are good. A lot of flippers and investors base their decisions off stuff like what they see on TV shows and much like in the gold prospecting world, they fail because of it. The trick to making money is to understand what the market wants, not what an investor wants to work on. That's the biggest consideration, it's not always about making the nicest house on the block and putting granite countertops in everything like some TV shows love doing. It's about making sure your house is the best one in that particular price range and understand what amenitites that price range entails and which are wastes of money.
The other consideration is generally flippers wants to make a house too nice, then they price a big portion of people out of that house and you end up with nothing for first time buyers except mobile homes which are hard to finance. And that causes houses crises and market crashes. FHA won't finance most flip houses due to condition, which is why most go to investors, and they are generally the only other affordable properties other than mobile homes which are no unavailable due to lack of financing for them for owner occupants. So, as a poor person for most of my life and now a real estate investor, I also feel it's the right thing to do both for the good of our economy and morally to provide renovated houses in price ranges for first time buyers which are leaps better than anything else available on the market and this is what I aim for. This means that they are often sold before I even have to list them because the demand is high, and in return I can save money on realtor fees. As I move forward I like doing these ones more and more, and being in a small town it's nice when you see people at the grocery store who bought one of my houses say thanks a year or two down the road. So, my recomendation for anyone thinking about starting is to find a good patient realtor who will spend a month showing you houses, get a feel for the market, look up what sold and for what price the last 2 years. Then find houses you can sell in that price range, but make them better than anything you saw and still make a profit. That is the basis for a flip house to buy, at least that's what I look for.
You should have kept it but you maybe if you asked if you could have some maybe they would giwe you something and you never if they are gonna lose in a another house so you are technically wasting money it was a great video and you should do more but ya it could be stolen and if you kept some you could have sold some
Hi Chris, if you don’t have the password or the key.. how to open it and at the end you wont know the owners then how he can return anything to the owners? Did you get it? Because this safe is abandoned, even he didn’t return it to the respected owner, he also not to be blamed. What do you think?
Very nice and honest of you trying to find the original owner, most wouldn't. You make me believe in humanity again, Thank you for being honest, even though you didn't have to try and find the proper owner. Because of your honesty, I liked and subbed.
hats off to you sir! I'm so glad there are still honest nice kind people like you left in this world. you should have millions of subscribers! You have a new subscriber right here. keep being you.
You were entitled to keep everything in the safe, but you did the nice thing and returned it to the original owners, good on you. You showed much more grace than the man who picked them up did. You were happy to return the stuff, I would have bought you some beers, or if you don't drink, a box of chocolates.
Just subbed, bc I thought you were very nice to go through the time of returning their things , most people wouldn't do that ...best of luck with your adventures!
I really like how careful you are to protect people's privacy and get back to them, things that might be meaningful to them. Good work being a great person.
I once bought a safe at auction. looked it up on the net. The manufacture gave the default code in owners manual set at the factory. I opened it and use it in our house now 12 years later
An easy way to cut em open is to use a drill and drill holes an 1/8th to a 1/4 inch apart in a big circle on the door. Then take a chisel and cut the perforations between the holes. Pop it out like a stamp from a sheet of stamps. You now have access to the locking mechanism. This also allows you to study the workings and learn about safes. Took me less than 10 minutes to get into a safe this way.
Good job you made and so nice of you to return what you found, can't believe how many thumbs down you received, world is full of odd people, I've shared you cool vid and subscribed, you rock
Good on ya, Brother... solid karma. I once found a bag with $3000 CASH while backpacking through New Zealand. I tracked the guy down and after returning it to him, a series of fantastic events unfolded.
Well, good for you. Same happened to me TWICE in my life and the only "fantastic event" that ever unfolded was a day long at the police office. They wanted to make sure I didn't steal anything in the meanwhile. Never got a single "thank you" from anyone, just nothing but sh***! I swear to God, next time I find something I just keep it for myself... karma is nothin but tinfoil newager horsesh**.
I opened my front door one morning to find a safe outside my front gate. It was a metre high and nearly a metre wide. God knows who put it there as it must have weighed a ton. I called the police who had it taken away. They never said where it came from. It hadn't been opened anyway. This reminds me of it.
Sure someone said already. Those slips w safe box, are for the safe boxes. Look into finding owners if no longer w us. You own if no one else has claimed. In most places.
FYI, these "safes" are to make the owners feel good. Don't bother to go for the door, because that is the strongest part. Cut the BACK off in about three minutes with a cutting wheel.
Almost forgot, when it’s facing like how it’s facing u??try pry it on the other GAP where it’s beside the knob??ive watched few other videos they all pry tat side near to the knob.its bcoz the inner locking machanism it’s from the hinge side towards straight the knob area.if ur pry where u r now,it takes alot of time.mayb u can’t even open it.bcoz of the metal lock towards the open side.if u pry it at that gap near the knob,it create a bigger gap so the inner metal locking machanism allow the door to swing open 👍🏻☺️
those are easy to open with a 9 volt battery. Pry the circuit board out, disconnect the solenoid wires from the board, contact the wires on 9 volt, it will actuate the plunger
With sentry safes, just get a super powerful magnet. Apply magnet to the upper left area of the front of the safe. Move magnet in a circular motion. Should move the restraints inside.
Yeah the plastic stuff is to protect it from fire .For future ref if u hit the top of the safe with a hammer pref a lump hammer while u pull the handle u limit the damage to goods inside and you can open it at same time.
that ring you thought was broke might have been cut off someone who passed away...so sad...hope you find owner cause they had to cut off my mothers ring

You should've just hired a Glaswegian 5yr old they'd get you into a locked safe in no time. Ive seen them watching the Firemen fitting Vandalproof caps on Fire Hydrants; As soon as the van drove off the kid had that cap off and a new 50ft water flume was showering the streets.....
Hi there! Well I could try have a crowbar through the gaps on the front where it opens?try get the crowbar in to the gap on the left side where the door swings out??get the crowbar into tat gap and bit by bit pry it open.it works most of the time👍🏻

The best entry to a safe what you look for is if it’s a ground bolted safe if so diamond blade grinder cut a hole in the bottom(where it’s meant to be bolted down) that’s the most thin metal on said ground.safe if it’s not a very nice expensive safe! A sentry safe with an electronic mechanism and you had to resort to a pry bar? A Google search would have given you all the information you needed to pop that open with a battery and some croc clips.
Never been able to figure that out why everybody thinks it's easier to go through the door the most secure place go to the bottom cut the steel with an angle grinder 5 inch square hole Each corner with a 20 lb sledge hammer remove broken concrete cut rebar drill a hole feel safe with water your choice cut it open or hit it hard
I was wondering that safe to whom is that be. my sister safe is missing due to the tornado in Missouri Arkansas. but sadly she died in that tornado and all is belonging are gone.
whats the point in returning the goods if you took all that time tearing apart the safe? You could have just gave the owners the safe in the first place.....
Man I had a man die in my rent house with a safe like that and we used a sledge hammer and a blow torch to get it open. It was a nightmare. I have much more respect for those safes now! His mother and son in law worked really hard to,get to the inside. There was actually very little of value in there after all the work! It was very kind of you to return the things you found.

With sentry safes, just get a super powerful magnet. Apply magnet to the upper left area of the front of the safe. Move magnet in a circular motion. Should move the restraints inside.
Sometimes these things leave the factory with a default code like 0000 or 1234. If the owner hasn't bothered to set a new code, it's worth trying.

Those keys you found are possibly safety deposit box keys and the envelopes would have contained them.
so I hope you know one of the tips is to use the pry bar near where the lock actually lockes it lol
like he ripped it off from the hinge and not the side it naturally opens is all... >_
I don’t know if this is true, but, I heard if you call the manufacturer they will provide you with a over ride code to open the safe.
I believe it is called "reset code" and is ILLEGAL IN MOST STATES, BETTER check with FBI.
Again, can't a burglar or a bitch wife call to get youR cash and the video porn husband made with HIS GIRLFRIEND, plus illegal in most States and invasion of husband's sex life privacy.
Can never understand why people destroy these safes.
Location safe box, and keys, doesn't that mean there's a safe box some where and one of those key could open them ?
Did you find the owners
Thank you for keeping their info secret..
The key it coukd be for a safty box in the same bank is in the stubs.

Remember kids, use safety glasses, just like they have in Chemistry class, which you could probably get while chem teacher is sleeping.
Sentimental is worth loads to somebody....👍👍🌺🌺
Why not angle grind at the back ?
Those coins are probably valuable rare ones i dont know why they would have them otherwise
You can always contact the manufacture and get the default code which I had to do with mine
Very kind of you.
You are such a nice guy, you deserve nice treasures.thought I'd bother to tell you the berets, are barrettes. Berets are French hats. Jus sayin.
Did u check the safe box? At the bank?
Why did you separate the jewelry from it’s original boxes and throw it on the floor ?
Don't they wear glove?,that safe have a combination pad,why they did try to find the code
I was wondering that safe to whom is that be. my sister safe is missing due to the tornado in Missouri Arkansas. but sadly she died in that tornado and all is belonging are gone.
The safe was worth far more than you got out of it.
Not if it's not in working order
What kind of glasses did you use?
whats the point in returning the goods if you took all that time tearing apart the safe? You could have just gave the owners the safe in the first place.....
To be fair how the hell he know who the owners were if the safe was left locked???????You are definitely not Einstein…..
@@annettebertora4434 It was said that he was cleaning it out for the owners
Man I had a man die in my rent house with a safe like that and we used a sledge hammer and a blow torch to get it open. It was a nightmare. I have much more respect for those safes now! His mother and son in law worked really hard to,get to the inside. There was actually very little of value in there after all the work! It was very kind of you to return the things you found.
true gentleman all the best from the UK
Your a good man to try to return it
