The Bears QB woes are a combination of things. Bad ownership, an antiquated ideology when it comes to team building, terrible draft choices, & bad luck. Like their fans, they are stuck in the 80's. I live in Chicago. On team radio shows, in 2019, callers say things like "If Ditka came back, how many of these guys would still be here?" IF DITKA CAME BACK? What?!?!?!? Bad scouting leads to picks like McNown, Grossman, & Trubisky. McNown & Grossman had red flags going into the draft. Trubisky spent years on the bench behind a guy who wasn't even drafted. So exactly how good was he?
When the Charger.s released Drew Brees he wanted to play for the Bears! They publicly announced we don't need him. Rex Grossman is our Quarterback! Now we have Turdbiscuit!!!
carson palmer was trying to get to the bears as well when the defense was really good but cincy wouldnt trade him, he said he was really upset about it, sux

If the Chicago bears had Jay Cutler from 1984 to 1991 the Chicago bears would have won 5 Superbowls 84 85 87 88 91 the great jay Cutler is the greatest quarterback in Chicago bears history !
I think Jim McMahon was a good quarterback. His biggest problem was that he could never stay healthy. He is always either out with an injury or playing with an injury.
Lovie Smith had damn near a decade to get a servicaeable Offense in place, but was just bad at it. He had his shot and was high off his own success with a SB appearance. Look at him now. In and out at Tampa Bay and struggling to make an Illinois team any good.
Jim McMahon holds the NFL record for most consecutive wins. 25-0, from 1984-1987. "In fact, from McMahon's last few starts in 1984 to his first few starts of '87, the product of Brigham Young (the school, not the man) simply did not lose. In the process, McMahon won 25 straight starts, a feat that has never been matched by an NFL quarterback." www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000500177/article/jerry-rices-yardage-mark-heads-top-five-records-in-nfl-history?campaign=Facebook_Writers_Harrison
@samuel moore I disagree ,Miller was better than Cutler and a far better leader. Cutler is over rated. Good arm Bad leader Miller decent arm Great leader
I still can’t believe the bears passed up on both Patrick Mahomes and Deshaun Watson😑. The bears organization really likes bad quarterbacks and still wants to rely on its defense🤦🏽♂️
The Mccaskey family didn't want a black quarterback..yeah,I Said It!!!..Chicago deserves a winner..that will not happen with the Mccaskeys..they're stuck in the 1940's..LOL!
@TPS Why do people write of a QB who has only played full year in the league? People just love to hate on Trubisky for no reason. However, I do agree if he doesn't play well this year it's time to move on. Trubisky will shock the NFL and become a good QB. Just watch!
Jim Mcmahon was a good/great qb but thanks to injuries (Playing on that frozen garbage turf in the winter could not be good on anyone long term) it did not continue there (but he had a long career other places including picking up another ring backing up Farve in green bay)
@Denzul C thank you Mr denzui for you nice intellegent comment chase Daniel will be the next steve Fuller the Chicago bears quarterback that won the Chicago bears the central division. Championship and a playoff game in 1984 ! Go chase !
This was pretty much spot on. It's been a huge blessing from the football gods that the Bears can't ever get a great QB. But they always seem to find great special teams and defensive players. I'll give them credit for that.
Actually trubisky isn't a bad quarterback yet he is still developing and he a great season in 2018 leading them to the playoffs so in my opinion yall are wrong about trubisky until he throws 3 or 4 ints in a game like jay Cutler or Fitzpatrick and case keenum I won't call him a bad or a bust quarterback.
I Live & die with my Bears but I totally agree ! As much as I love Jimbo He Was Good Gutsy believed in himself and The Team highly injury prone and consistently hot and cold he had great players around him a great recipe for winning Go Bears !
Chase Daniel will be the next steve Fuller from 1984 he won the Chicago bears the NFC central division championship and a divisional NFC playof game at Washington in December of 1984 and took the bears to the NFC chsmpionship game in the great great January of 1985 ! Go chase Chase will be great !
Do you really think he would be doing what he did in KC with the trash o line and mediocre playmakers, Bears don't have a Tyreek Hill, or a Travis Kelce, or Kareem Hunt, or Sammy Watkins, or Andy Reid, or ProBowl lineman, you see what mahomes is without a line, Watson was the best in that draft
McMahon might not have had flashy stats, but he had that certain something that made him a winner. This is what all the other QB's the Bears have trotted out there didn't have. Had to believe they didn't luck into another winner somewhere along the way.
As a Chicagoan, I would add that the fans play a role in this too. We've had years with decent offenses. When Erik Kramer was healthy, they did well. The defense wasn't great though. When the defense isn't great, it pisses the fans off. Honestly, most Bears fans get more satisfaction from the defense laying an ass beating on the other team and scoring a TD than they do a 42-35 win. So GMs and coaches alike know they better get a credible defense or they will be fired. There are a small group of people saying Nagy should be fired because we gave up 24 pts yesterday. Yes, some people are that nuts.
This video is spot on. They had a chance to get Deshaun Watson who was coming off a national championship win 3 years ago but went with Trubisky who didn't start until his senior year....
Your telling half truths about McMahon and the 1985 Bears. McMahon was a great leader who his offensive linemen would run through a wall for him. McMahon had intangibles and made things happen. As great as that 1985 Bear defense was, they struggled in several games early in that season and McMahon and the offense had to bail them out! Like in the opening game at home against Tampa Bay. The Bears fell behind 28-17 at halftime in that game. The defense got some takeaways but the offense and special teams led the way and they won 38-28. Then at Minnesota on a Thursday night the Bears fell behind 17-9 until McMahon came in mid or late in the 3rd Quarter and went on to throw 3 TD's in his first 4 passes! They also fell behind again at Tampa Bay 12-3 at halftime and struggled. But the defense and Walter Payton stepped up and the Bears won 27-19.
Video idea? Craziest/Scariest Sports Rivalry Games Games that got extremely high scores, the most fights, dirtiest plays. Example rivalry? Pittsburgh Steelers and Cincinnati Bengals
Perhaps you should do a video on my Chiefs and how we as a franchise until Mahomes hadnt had a franchise QB and still were one of the more winningest teams in the 90s and had something special on offense in 2003. For me we have never been able to draft well overall and yet still had enough talent through the years to win games. Could talk about how Tony G putting up all those numbers being the focal point of the offense without having a good QB after Trent Green. Or how Jovan Belcher took his own life. Just saying I would think there's a lot to unpack and talk about over the last 30 years.
Youre forgetting about the best bears QB of all time Walter Payton

You didn’t explain why you just talked about the past
It doesn’t make any sense you just explain the past you didn’t explain why they never had a quarterback
The indication is that they are a defensive-minded organization so they don't focus that much on getting a great quarterback.

At least Miami had had two franchise quarterbacks. Chicago has none really
Raw Dawg Payne Atleast we haven't gotten blown out a single game in the last season
I've been a Bears fan all my life and I definitely can say that Cutler is the best quarterback the Bears ever had
Jon Abrams Jay cutler Fan Club cutler was goated
As a bears fan this is pretty depressing. Our defense is so elite every year and we’re 1 position away from being super bowl contenders each year
My favorite Bears QBs are
jimmy mac
Jim Miller
Kyle Orton
Short answer they NEVER invest in the Oline to make it completely solid!
I think Jim McMahon was a good quarterback. His biggest problem was that he could never stay healthy. He is always either out with an injury or playing with an injury.
You forgot Bill Wade from the 1963 Bears... Everyone forgets that team...
I like to think that Jay Cuttler was the best Packers QB ever because of all the interceptions he's thrown to then
Scott Toms not funny
Because they’re basically the “NFC” ravens (before the ravens of course): Legendary defense first and good enough on offense with a great running game
We sure ran through some coaches too! Should’ve kept lovie smith but Nagy is more of a players coach.
In the process, McMahon won 25 straight starts, a feat that has never been matched by an NFL quarterback."

Where do you have Hardbaugh on your list of Chicago QBs? I would say fourth
I feel attacked
Well Sid luckman was pretty great but he was in the 1940s but he is a hall of famer
I’m not a bears fan but mitch trubiskyis their best qb since forever
kyle orton then mitch
Tzvi Perlman True
@Christopher Bingham lol no
Cutler better
@@mikhaelsundin1798 LMFAO
About Jim McMahon it was 1985 the didn’t pass a lot
Whatever the answer is...pleeeaassee just keep doing what you're doing..being a Packer fan just wouldnt be the same without you!
Jim Miller is the best quarterback the bears have had.
He's so underrated.
@samuel moore I disagree ,Miller was better than Cutler and a far better leader.
Cutler is over rated.
Good arm
Bad leader
Miller decent arm
Great leader
This does not explain why we’ve never had any good quarter backs. You just talk about the past and the qbs we’ve had.
I still can’t believe the bears passed up on both Patrick Mahomes and Deshaun Watson😑. The bears organization really likes bad quarterbacks and still wants to rely on its defense🤦🏽♂️
Here's what they should do: scout a quarterback that they think might be good, and if they like him, draft a different one
Qwertos that’s how I pick stocks. I’ve had 20% in returns in the past 2 years only because I’ve actually diverted from that formal twice
Bears fan right here
Damn imagine... the Bears could have drafted Mahomes 🤣🤣 #Chiefsnation
True! True! True! Pisses me off
The Mccaskey family didn't want a black quarterback..yeah,I Said It!!!..Chicago deserves a winner..that will not happen with the Mccaskeys..they're stuck in the 1940's..LOL!
@@SteveSmith-go4ug thank you for the REAL REASON!
TPS why!? As a life long bears fan this isn’t something I like to think about! This hurts on a deeper level.
Hard to get woken up...
Smoothest qb transitions in nfl history. Example Garcia to young
Um don't you mean Montana to Young??? Wtf
@TPS Why do people write of a QB who has only played full year in the league? People just love to hate on Trubisky for no reason. However, I do agree if he doesn't play well this year it's time to move on. Trubisky will shock the NFL and become a good QB. Just watch!
What is Tribisky good at then?
Funny thing is prime Cutler with this defense could be good enough to win a superbowl
I want to agree but with the run game/ o-line issues he’d prolly be back to smoking Jay
Jim Mcmahon was a good/great qb but thanks to injuries (Playing on that frozen garbage turf in the winter could not be good on anyone long term) it did not continue there (but he had a long career other places including picking up another ring backing up Farve in green bay)
lol Mitch has two bad games and is instantly labeled as Ryan Leaf and is a bust.
See you guys in the Super Bowl.
Don't think he's bad but he isn't good, I'd take about half the qbs in the NFL maybe a few more before him,
@@weatherwolf335 that's fine. Just keep that same energy.
We will see them in the SuperBowl #BEARDOWN
well, he's not that good either, certainly not Mahomes or Watson, who both where on the board when U picked Trubitsky
Michael Totosz lol get outta here with that nonsense
Jay Cutler would have won Superbowl 41 for the Chicago bears in. 2006
@Denzul C thank you Mr denzui for you nice intellegent comment chase Daniel will be the next steve Fuller the Chicago bears quarterback that won the Chicago bears the central division. Championship and a playoff game in 1984 ! Go chase !
For the next vid do 10 reasons why TPS arent a good sports channel
This was pretty much spot on. It's been a huge blessing from the football gods that the Bears can't ever get a great QB. But they always seem to find great special teams and defensive players. I'll give them credit for that.
Yeah should I got rid of gross men and kept Kyle Orton
Orton was decent
In the past they might have had horrible qbs but now we do Trubisky is great
I'm a die hard and I have to disagree. Mitch has potential but he's far from great right now. Bear down!!
You don’t have to
Chase Daniel will be the next steve Fuller from 1984 he won the Chicago bears the NFC central division championship and a divisional NFC playof game at Washington in December of 1984 and took the bears to the NFC chsmpionship game in the great great January of 1985 ! Go chase Chase will be great !
Trubisky can be a great quarterback. I said can and this is coming from a Bears fan
Ryan Pace has missed a lot of good QBs since he became their GM. It's really sad for a great organization.
Imagine the Bears with Mahomes under center.
I haven't seen this yet....but it is a comment we use all the time....looking forward to this...
Brett Favre comes out of retirement and joins the Chicago Bears
Then turns the ball over with about 5 ints 😂😂 and this is coming from a packers fan
@@JabrenHarris98 lol the gun slinger
McMahon might not have had flashy stats, but he had that certain something that made him a winner. This is what all the other QB's the Bears have trotted out there didn't have. Had to believe they didn't luck into another winner somewhere along the way.
JIM MCMAHON IS THE BEST..🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Jimmy Mac. 25-0. 1984-1987. NFL record.
Sid played from 1959-1950? Did anyone else hear that?
I know it's 1939-1950, just sounded like 1959

Perhaps you should do a video on my Chiefs and how we as a franchise until Mahomes hadnt had a franchise QB and still were one of the more winningest teams in the 90s and had something special on offense in 2003. For me we have never been able to draft well overall and yet still had enough talent through the years to win games. Could talk about how Tony G putting up all those numbers being the focal point of the offense without having a good QB after Trent Green. Or how Jovan Belcher took his own life. Just saying I would think there's a lot to unpack and talk about over the last 30 years.
Those times are over
