We've seen a lot of comments such as "why not a 2600, it's cheaper and offers better performance". Yes you all are correct! We've done plenty of 2600 builds, and it's an amazing CPU but we wanted to do something with the 3400G, not using it's APU graphics. Mainly because it isn't much better than the 3200G using APU graphics; so the 3400G pairs much better with a graphics card!

The fan method mentioned allows the desktop to last 7-10 years if kept in a low dust environment. I have had hard drives replaced more often than the CPU,Ram and motherboard using this method before the solid state drives were easily available.
Great build, would've liked to see how the 8GB version compares to the 4 one, when it comes to the 580, but I hope that's a future video. I can see the reasoning behind the 3200G and I know it's for test purposes, so I'm not gonna complain like 80% of the comment section lol.

I have used two fans pulling air in , one case fan over CPU in both sucking and pulling out a 120MM sucking air out and liquid metal thermal paste and the desktop is typically 10-20 degrees cooler than using RGB. I could get a low watt light and it doesn’t needlessly waste money or heat like this setup.

GPU should be setup for two configurations 6GB and Up for Linux based OS. 8GB for any version of Windows and get the Vulkan Drivers for Nvidia GPUs. Mesa Drivers for AMD. Make sure to set the Physix version to the GPU if using Nvidia and confirm it is setup to be max performance. Linux like POP OS 19.04 by System 76 using Proton, Vulkan, WINE and Lutris are getting close to on par FPS with Windows on a lot of games. POP OS 19.04 has an AMD version and an Nvidia version. Vulkan in my opinion is a lot more stable and fluid APU renderer over DX 12.
While playing rdr2, watch dogs 2, gta 5 and sleeping dogs the game stutters. And it does when gpu temp reaches 80c then it falls back to 77 and this keeps repeating till I don't lose my mind and close the game. Same setup rx 580 oc phantom gaming and 3400g with 16gb ram ddr4 2666mhz. But when I played gta 4, nothing happened cause gpu temp were on 70c. I have just noticed it only happens when it reaches 80c. Any help?

So I built my first desktop computer in 1997-98. So I should have more experience with this than yourself. Over clocking out to the max will thermal throttle the CPU with RGB but 20 watt case fan increased temperatures only a few degrees not 20 degrees
Been building since 1998 myself, and I have no idea what you mean about cooling with "RGB" do you mean that specific cooler? If so that cooler is perfectly adequate for the 3400g even with a decent over clock.
The failure rate is too high to be reliable and the air cooling system mentioned won’t fry the entire system and have been using this method for over 20 years

CPU locked on 4mhz. It seems you guys are Using Powerplan as power saving. I had that same problem. For new users ill suggest go to power plan on windows search bar and set the setting into Ultimate performance. You'll see the difference a lot. Have a good day.
The 3000 series apu is not "actually" 3rd gen because it uses the previous generation's architecture and is based on 12nm process. So I don't understand why you didn't pair it with the 2600 or even the 1600. Sponsored? Maybe

Do not buy the 4gb it sucks. Either buy 570 8gb, 1060 6gb, 580 8gb, 1650 super, 5500xt 8gb, 1660, or 1660 super. Nothing above that. The 1650 super is fine but idk if 4gb is okay. The fact that there won't be 4gb GPUs next gen, only 6gb or above I think is a message. I would probably go for 5500xt 8gb/1660/1660 super

Don't get XFX. It runs way too hot (i have xfx rx 580 myself). Sapphire Nitro is the best option as far as i know.

The b450 boards do. I just built a ryzen 2600 and tomahawk b450 board. Worked perfectly.

Absolutely can handle the newest gen CPU's, and the 450's can even run the 3900s. As far as GPU the answer would be yep to that as well.

Everything is done by USB. All downloads are usually digital..you no longer need a DVD drive. A portable if needed.

Sir can I pair my ryzen 5 3400g with rx 5500 xt 4gb? Can I get a good performance with that?
Do not buy the 4gb it sucks. Either buy 570 8gb, 1060 6gb, 580 8gb, 1650 super, 5500xt 8gb, 1660, or 1660 super. Nothing above that. The 1650 super is fine but idk if 4gb is okay. The fact that there won't be 4gb GPUs next gen, only 6gb or above I think is a message. I would probably go for 5500xt 8gb/1660/1660 super
